I think that Bryan Williams is also hinting at the return of backstage areas SYM/HCTP-style. At least I would love if he is. I was thinking that and I hope it is too. The new physics are going to make these matches so much fun. It's too bad that the tops of the announcers' tables fade away again, especially since they went as far as to make them so detailed. I love that we don't have to be on the announcers' table to finally break through it. Yeah that really sucks, but I still think they might be different for the actual game... or so I hope. And you could do moves through the table without being on it before, but it was limited to UCM such as chokeslams and Powerbombs. Im wondering what the new create mode is, I was thinking a championship but it could possibly be a arena which is amazing... Cant belive how amazing this game is already.

They were abortions of animations within movesets. So glad to finally see them gone. Even though I removed them from everyones' movesets last year, it's nice to finally be able to do that kind of stuff with normal moves.

I think Create-An-Arena is pretty likely, people have been wanting that for a while now.

I'm going to be very disappointed if there's no create an arena.

Tbh I dont think I will ever use create-a-arena, I dont use most of the create features in the game at all. I would be fine with just Superstar Threads tbh. But damn it I demand connecting backstages to return, Ive wanted it for so long.

It was cool being able to catch people diving off of the turnbuckle with a Chokeslam though. That was and always will be one badass thing they provided. I usually test out the CAW Mode each year, but I never play as CAWs just because even if you can get them to look good there's the whole call name thing and I'd just rather play as actual in-game Superstars anyway. Create-an-Arena could be cool for things like the Story Designer though. Especially if you don't want to stick to the same PPVs each year. Plus you could always just make a House Show arena. Those are always nice. It'd be cool to have. Honestly, I'd much rather have connecting backstage areas though.

I just hope that if CAA is in the game, they don't bring back WWE bucks.
I have ideas already. First arena, the worst, rickety arena possible. Second, the most extravagant arena possible. Third, December to Dismember 2006 aren-- wait, I'da made that with the first one! Zing! [/Tazz]

I'd choose Create-An-Arena over backstage areas, tbh. Yes, connecting backstage areas have been wanted for years, even since they were removed, but Create-An-Arena adds a whole new dimension to the game. You can create a new PPV, create a Story about it and so on. Obviously, it pretty much lies on whether you are a CAW person or a WWE person, I'm a bit of both, but I know we won't get both in, unless we're in some sort of luck.
I can't wait for more information on this game though, it is fantastic so far and we've barely got the basics yet. Just the new additions in the demo stages are brilliant. New weapon physics, moveable animations, extra grapples, modified finishers, better graphics, the lot, it's amazing. And as Williams said, they have more new things to announce come SummerSlam, so it can only really get better from here.
Also, by the sounds of the interview from GaingRing, NXT appears to have made it into the game in some form. Even though he didn't confirm it, his reaction pretty much said it was in. I'm hoping we get the WWE Superstars arena, too.
Last but not least, the CAW section. I am so glad we can edit Downloaded CAWs this year, it was such a pain last year when you get perfection creations, only to be disappointed by the unrealistic moveset and the god awful theme choice.
So can't wait for more information!

Between Superstar Threads and Story Designer... it was insane. I'm really looking forward to seeing the updates to those two modes not to mention whatever else there is waiting for us in October.

Yeah this thread was hard to keep up with last year, it exploded like 30 pages a day.
Edit: I didnt see if this was posted or not.
Not much, but the crowd looks epic imo.

Yeah, it's been posted but I sure don't mind seeing it again. That video also made me realize that even though we don't need to do a Toe Kick to do a finisher, I'm probably still going to end up doing it by habit anyway.

Tbh, I'm not bothered about CAA, don't get me wrong, if its there, I'll use it, but its not that important to me, but backstage areas is a must for me, I loved the first 5 or so games, where you could literally rome anywhere

Hopefully they connect this year for free roaming. Heres what I would like to see. Arena Crowd area Lobby Backstage Area Backstage area 2 Hallway/Corridor Office Locker room Parking Lot

I'm not gonna get my hopes up for connecting backstage/Create An Arena and will just assume that he was talking about the regular backstage areas that you have to select.
Everything else he talked about sounds nice. Tree of Woe, having to actually lift them onto the top turnbuckle for superplexes, this new grappling stuff he was talking about. Hopefully the HIAC is updated. Sucks that the announce tables disappear instantly, thought they would hang around like regular tables.
Love that the select/match-up screens are animated again, hopefully that goes for CAWs too.
IGN's stuff was lame. In their article they said the graphics didn't look any different than last years and their videos had stupid crap in it like Taker punching air/the ropes and hitting the ropes with a ladder.

WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 > WWE All-Stars. I know I might be looking into it too much but when he said the demo isnt showing everything, all the stuff we see will be different in the game like the overalls etc... So im thinking (or hoping) mini-trons could be in, the announcers table does break diferently and dosnt fade and that chairs dont fade. I hope im right... >_<
