I'm just hoping for it to be as updated as possible. I want Dashing Cody Rhodes but I doubt it, sadly.
Will they include NXT somehow? I mean all 8 of them were around Wrestlemania time, which is supposedly the cut off. Bryan didn't get released until May or early June.

I firmly believe they're going to focus on graphics. If they don't use higher resolution textures like every other 360/PS3 title, I'll be disappointed. For anyone who's ripped textures before...other games use a decent size texture with shaders and such. Smackdown VS RAW is using the same size images as Playstation 2 used, just with a higher quality image. From the looks of things, they've used better modeling and textures, but that's with what's been seen so far.

I've forgotten how many times I've copied and pasted this: "They could easily include a NXT brand, maybe even an arena but there is no way that anyone from Season 1 will make it in the game unless they were DLC. Otherwise that would have required WWE having full knowledge of their plan to keep all eight NXT rookies around past the end of the first NXT season and them being willing to divulge that plan to THQ/Yuke's."

Is it a well known fact that WWE must provide all of their future plans to THQ/Yukes, the plans that extend past the cut off dates? We've seen many fired superstars make it in the game, many gimmicks not make it in the game, etc. I think they were all going to stay on WWE TV from the beginning. I see your point being what if there was no Nexus, and just Wade Barrett. Then there would be 7 pointless superstars. I just find it pointless to have ECW, thus there should be NXT.

If Christian has a RTWM, which he probably does, then ECW will be in the game. They're not going to scrap an entire storyline just because you think it's "pointless".

And, what do you mean by ECW being pointless? NXT started a week after ECW was gone. ECW has a way better chance to make it into the game then NXT does IMO.

ECW = Outdated game. Theres no getting around it, NXT (at least the brand/arena itself) should be in. If theres no "official cut-off date", NXT should be in come Launch Day.
Anyways, in un-related but relevant news: You can get a Stone Cold gamerpic for the 360 when you download the "Paine" gamerpic from The Expendables.

If it's in the game, it's no big deal. It would be like having Heat or Velocity. All of 2009 and so far 2010 have been times of change after change after change. New superstars, gimmicks, storylines, rivalries, pay per views, champions. It's way too much of a transition for the game to be extremely updated. I just want it to be as updated as possible with the inclusion of NXT. I was just saying I wanted to see NXT in there. And I don't see how any of us can be so sure as to what makes it in the game and what doesn't. It's all speculation at this point, and everyone's guess are as good as the next.

Like to think that Money In the Bank as a PPV will make it in, would be a stupid and un-educated prediction. But wondering if The Hart Dynasty will be in is something that some people would bet their house on.

I think I'm still a bit stuck on thinking that the cut off date is around July, because I've been playing a lot of HCTP. But here's to being optimistic.

They still need to pick a point where they need to finalize the roster so they can work on everything else and get a game that's been well tested and ready to be shipped by the fall. It's not like they're able to work on it all the way up to the end of October. While thats true, and a good point, people still need to be reasonable when it comes to making these predictions. Like to think that Money In the Bank as a PPV will make it in, would be a stupid and un-educated prediction. I think I'm still a bit stuck on thinking that the cut off date is around July, because I've been playing a lot of HCTP. But here's to being optimistic. Look at HCTP and look at 2010, which game do you think it'd be easier to create a Superstar's character model in? Which game do you think it'd be easier to add an entrance to? HCTP with its sporadicly skipped parts and otherwise generic motions, or a full motion captured one individually created for a Superstar? Just because things were a certain way back with one game doesn't mean they're the same today. Not to mention they'd say time and time again that there is no actual cutoff date. But if we've learned anything from the past few years, it seems that the time where they usually stop adding in new Superstars is around Wrestlemania.

It's not like they're able to work on it all the way up to the end of October. Exactly. I just used THQ's words against them, as they're the ones who claim there's no official cutoff date for stuff that makes it in the game (as Williams or Ledesma said in an interview last year). I never studied any patterns for superstars to try and figure out their cutoff date, but I noticed before that as far as Arena's go, the first two PPV's after WrestleMania mostly make it in as well. So the May PPV tends to be the arena cutoff, but thats not official either (i.e. Judgment Day in Smackdown '10 is the 08 arena).

Sorry for the double post, but Ive got to admit: I would shutup instantly about NXT if THQ pulled a few surprise arenas out of nowhere. Worthwhile ones that is.
Raw is War Smackdown Debut In Your House
Theres soo much un-touched ground as far as what could be done for the Past of WWE in video games goes.

The idea of create-a-arena has just grown on me thinking of the possible things you could make with it.

They should at least have the NXT arena and they could make it part of a storyline where maybe a mode in whcih you take your caw, go through developement (unlikely to be FCW and probably a gym) then NXT, Then Superstars, Raw or Smackdown then a PPV.
Idea needs fine tuning.

Does anyone else wish there is gonna be some sort of CAW back-compatability... i mean, i doubt they'd make tons of changes to create considering that was the focus of the last game, so any changes will probably be add ons to what is already there... so with a catalog of wrestlers online, who else hopes they do it so that you can download CAWs from SvR2010 for SvR2011

They've completely overhauled the graphics with the character models and what looks to be everything else. CAW Mode won't be any different. Like I've said before, in order for there to be backwards compatibility for CAWs, it would require them not to make any changes to the CAW Mode at all. I don't really see the problem in having to make a CAW over again. I mean sure it can take some time, but for the most part, chances are it'll turn out better. The face morphing system in 2010 had it's problems, so if they improved that for 2011, people will be able make CAWs look even better.
