I wonder the same thing.
Because I hear that if you go to the box office, you can pick out your seat from a chart so who knows.

I've never seen the point of camping out. It makes you(Not you in particular, "you" as in the people who do) look like a nerd waiting outside for days for something that's discretionary income.
As to Part two, Online Pre-sale would probably be your safest bet at front row tickets(besides scalper sites), but if you can't find that than camping out is the alternate.

People who camp out for books games are generally nerds in my opinion. 2. I have NEVER EVER seen a presale for a Televised tv show only house shows

I dunno but there were presale front row seats for Summerslam going for US$750 per ticket before misc charges on ticketmaster.
On tv side too.

WWE is coming around me in May, I was extremely pumped March 8th to see a commercial advertising tickets being on sale 10am the following morning. ...this was before I knew about presales, and the fact the presales for BOTH house shows started the morning I saw the commercials... I saw them during Smackdown, almost 12 hours after the presale started - the next day I woke up, pumped as Hell to order two ringside tickets. ...boy was I shocked to see they were sold out. Then I found out about the presale. Guess who bought most of them and jacked the prices from $60 to $200-$300? Those ing scalping sites. Pissed me off real good. At least I'm a little wiser now, and will be prepared next time.

^ I hate scalpers. They should all go off. I guess you have to be quick with the presale but even then they can quickly buy the best seats..

I don't know about WWE, but I know people who were 4th or 5th in line for concert tickets and floor seats were almost gone when they got to the window.

WWE & Ticketmaster now have "premium seating" for the 1st 4 rows and the prices suck... I tried getting presale seats to RAW in Toronto in May and there were no floor seats to be purchased. As you can see by this link, they sell the good floor seats for way more then advertised. www.ticketmaster.ca/exchange/1000446300A19327?tm_link=edp_buytix

I don't see the point in camping out unless it was Mania. As far as getting front row it is very easy. The past several TV shows I have been to the past few months I have sat front row non camera side which is actually the best place to sit because during interviews and such they are looking towards you. Most recent I was at was RAW in OKC which was sold out... I always get my tickets the day of. I have been doing this several years now after I learned this simple secret. I have tried it at ppvs and been successful but have not tried at a mania yet. Here are a few pics actually.. Been meaning to upload and share but have not had the time!

I got front row tickets to SummerSlam online. There is no point in waiting AT ALL outside the box office. There's 0% guarantee that you will even get good tickets.

How did you buy the tickets though? On the internet or at the actual box office? At the actual box office about the time that the doors open. that is when they release all the "comp" tickets not being used.

I have found the experience is what you make it. The times I have camped out for tickets have been a fun experience. Would I do it for every show? No, but will do it for good shows.
Think about Black Friday. These guys bring tents, heaters, grills, cards, all these things to make it not just waiting in line but an experience.
