I Really Think HBK Should Stay Retired Not Like Ric Flair. He Has Done All He Can Do In The WWE. Now Its Time To Look Towards The Future.
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?
I REALLY WISH WE COULD'VE SEEN HIM FACE CM PUNK & JOHN MORRISON ONE ON ONE. NOW THOSE MATCHES WOULD'VE BEEN GREAT.

Yes, his exit was about as close to perfect as you could get. And as someone else said before, he left while people still care about him, and that doesn't happen much.

Absolutely. I would HATE to see Michaels become a disgrace like Ric Flair. He might not be THE best in the world any more at his age, but he is still very high up there and he went out on top. It was a perfect retirement.

As much as i want to say no,im saying yes.
Sad to see one of the best ever go,but you know,he should be remembered for his highlights,during his prime,his title reigns and all the shows he put on. He didnt need to go on and on,hes done it all,he wants to be a dad and a husband now,we just remember the showstopper. The odd occasional appearance on raw etc would be fantastic.

In all honesty, i wouldn't see HBK returning as a disgrace to his legacy like Flairs... Flair left for another company and in all honesty was way past his prime, if HBK came out of retirement with WWE's blessing and could still go (and i have no doubt he could, the guy spent 4 years doing very little wrestling remember and came back to this standard) then i'd be happy for him to return. I think he should enjoy being away from the business and see how he feels... he may be happy to just be with his family, he may get that ol' itch... who knows? what i'm saying is it should be down to Shawn as to whether he stays retired, either decision i'd be happy with. Do i think he'll stay retired? i don't know, interviews like this HHH one make me think mabye not pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/WWE_News_3/article_40256.shtml but who knows. |

He better stay retired. I would hate to have wasted all that emotion.

I'm torn... I will miss him greatly, but after the speech last night maybe he should. Especially where he talked about wanting to be a man of his word.
I just can't see anything happening in WWE that would be severe enough for it to make sense when he breaks it. But who knows. In all reality, I'll be happy either way. More HBK matches would be great but if he doesn't come back I still have the memories and dvds.

No, he should have never retired in the first place. There's no way he couldn't have wrestled 'til 50. He wasn't even getting close to "slowing down"
Why does everyone put so much emphasis on the idea of retiring "on top"?? How is that good? All that does is leave people WANTING MORE. There's a big line between being on top and being washed up. You can leave between that line very easily. HBK could have had many more classic matches and feuds and not even touched the "washed up" line.
Now that all is said and done, I'm sure he will be away for awhile, but I hope and pray for him to come back for one last run. Even if its just another year. I can't come to grips with an HBK-less WWE. Its just not right.

I'm starting to think Shawn Michaels is done. It was the perfect ending to the most amazing career. If he does come back it won't be for a very long time, longer than 1 year.

I think he should stay. Unlike Flair he has a family and 2 small kids,is very well off with money i'm sure, and has a really beaten down body. His career was suppose to be already over so for him to be around this long is a blessing for me to have been able to see him even more. I think he may come back here and there if they are around his hometown or where he lives kinda like a Stone Cold did/does. BUt to wrestle i don't think so. I like the fact that he went out on top also. People say why go out on top? Well look at some of the guys now Nasty boys? who gives 2 shits about them? Jim Duggan? Do you really wanna see in 20 years or 15 or maybe even 10 when Shawn can barely walk or perform and he is getting jobbed out to NXT guys just for fun? I know i sure don't. People wanted to see more feuds with CM Punk and Morrison but let's face it they wanted those feuds then people woulda wanted him and Bryan feud and it woulda never ended. He went out on top where he made the biggest name for himself i could not have asked for anythign better.

Yes, his time to retire was 3 years ago. He had very few memorable matches since 07.

I'd like to see him come back for a match every once and a while like Trish, but no full time comebacks. WWE needs space to push younger guys.

I feel like it came out of nowhere in a way. I mean he spent last year running around with a midget! I had heard all the talk of him going but I didn't think it was anywhere near his time. On a personal level, I wanted 5 more years of one off matches but if he wants to walk away while he is at his best then good on him. Family should come first.
