No way he'd let Anderson go regardless of future performances. There is no way Dana would give StrikeForce his reigning Middleweight Champion & top ranked P4P guy. What he will do is keep Anderson on the shelf & haul him through the courts if he tries to fight elsewhere. He'll keep him as champ but have two guys fight it out for an Interuim strap. Exactly as he did with Randy Couture

I'm still confused as to what Anderson did....
I mean yes he was showboating... but I really don't think it was so bad that Dana White needs to cut him.
how about putting him in there with a well rounded fighter who can actually f***ing strike..
put Anderson in there against Brandon Vera, Bones Jones, Rampage, Shogun, Vitor....
..hell even Rashad Evans, Wanderlei, and Randy Couture would be interesting matchups.

Dana is just being Dana. I 1,000,000% believe that if Silva did repeat his performance at 112 in his next fight, Dana would just say "So he wants out of his contract so bad? him, I'm going to drain every last drop I can out of him and then he can go wherever the he wants, but his ass is mine for the rest of that contract". That or something similar.

They should put limits on title defenses. If you successfully defend a title so many times then bump them up a weight class. Or just strip him of the Middleweight title and tell him he's now a LHW and to get ready for a title fight against Machida he's gotta go through Jackson or Rua or whoever is in line.

Dana is pathological. He's not stupid enough to cut Anderson Silva. Although, I'd get hard to see that fight.

I don't think that is necessary. ..I said right before the GSP fight that I feel like a couple of the "unbreatable champions" are going to lose this year... ..I just feel like it is time for a couple of them to lose... ..and BJ Penn proved my point. BJ hasn't lost a fight at LW in I think 8 years? But Frankie Edgar proved that every fighter can be beat. The UFC (unfortunately) just doesn't have the talent needed to beat Anderson at 185. The only guys I see even having a chance at 185 are Vitor Belfort, Mousasi, and a Henderson rematch.

Dana isn't going to cut him, ever. The fight with Sonnon (R) works because Chael is both brave enough and stupid enough to push the pace and attack Silva. I think Dana wants a 25 fight with Silva on his back getting elbowed in the face. The only striker that stands a real chance is Belfort because of his hand speed. Nate has stronger strikes than Silva but has lower accuracy and Wandy is so wild he won't last two rounds.

I want him cut, honestly, he's boring and he doesn't take it seriously, he disappoints the fight fans. Come on White do it now!

And Silva is not young already he's 35, give him a few more years and he's done, he should just retire right now.

Wasn't his birthday this week? He said he wanted to retire this year, then called it off.

White is just talking ****. What else is new? Silva isn't going anywhere unless he's retiring.

Honestly, I never thought much of Chael Sonnen until I saw how he pretty much manhandled Nate. Sonnen trains with Hendo and Quest. He's an oustanding wrestler and it seems an oustanding wrestler is about the only thing to breach Silva's defense. If Sonnen wrestles Silva like he did Nate, and controls the ground, he'll get a win. Granted, as long as he doesn't give his back, or get knocked out.
How many fights does Silva have left in contract? He's already talked about retiring from the sport once his contract is done, as well as already guaranteed a fight with Roy Jones Jr when his contract expires.
Is Vitor still out with an injury? I think he needs to be the next fight. Pit his fast hands against Silva and I think Vitor stands a great chance.
