Wow. I was counting on hearing a few simularities, not WORD FOR WORD. Did he think he'd actually get away with taking another comedian's material like that? What a douche. And he has the balls to go on about it as if it's his own material.

Man, he did it word for word as well. What an bunghole. Yeah, it's almost like he covered his material.Remind me, first thing I need to do when I get up tomorrow morning is look up covers of Oasis's "Wonderwall" and inform them they're liable to get sued for their efforts. Thieves, all of them!

Thieves, all of them! I get your point, but when bands cover songs, the original writer gets credit and a heft paycheck for its use, plus its done as a sign of respect. This fool just stole it, with no credit, nor obviously any vision of repaying Oswalt for compensation.

This fool just stole it, with no credit, nor obviously any vision of repaying Oswalt for compensation. Not exactly, and not always. Tons of college kids playing at coffee shops or small bars, like this guy was when he did his act, don't have the permission to cover the song -- they just do it. There are too many channels to go through to acquire the rights to even one song. As far as I can tell, this Madson character didn't record Patton's material with intent to sell it, so I don't see how he is any worse than some college dude covering a Sufjan Stevens song on his acoustic guitar. Yes, he likely got paid for doing Patton's stuff, but people who cover songs at small venues get a check, too. Also, all the commenters on the MySpace page are complaining that the comedian credits himself with coming up with the material. Does he ever say that? Does he ever say, "My name is Nick Madson, and these are my jokes"? If he does, then I am wrong, but for all I know, his set could have been a tribute to Oswalt. That's the problem with making judgments off snippets of shows; unless you were there, you don't know the whole story.

Funny thing is I just listened to Oswalt's stuff over the weekend, so I didn't even have to watch his clip to know it was word for word.

So what he stole Troll's joke...Like either one are funny anyway! You can't tell me that Troll hasn't stolen a dumb joke or two in his pos career?!? All comedians have!

Anyone else laugh REALLY hard at the line:
"Jesus Christ, Nick -- you craven, pudding-spined clit0ris of a man."

To play music at a venue they have to be registered with the music royalty agencys(like ASCAP). They pay fees to cover songs play over speakers and artists(big or small) covering others songs. It's a fair system to me.
