I watched an episode of Best of Pride on Spike. It had...
Chuck-vs-Guy Mezger -Good fight. Kind of sad to see Chuck handle some hard punches and keep going. Things just ain't the same anymore.
Cro Cop-vs-Josh Barnett -Real good fight. I wish we could have seen "that" Cro Cop storm the UFC.
Gilbert Yvel-vs-Gary Goodridge -Very quick fight. Yvel blasted him with a vicious head kick.
There was also a fight with Giant Silva and a Japanese guy that wasn't very good. And Vitor KO'd a Japanese fighter whose name I can't remember. I was out of the room for these fights, but did see the Belfort KO. Damn good punch he landed on that one.

Well I'm currently at the third round of Jon Fitch vs Ben Saunders from UFC 111.
Got the DVD yesterday, watched UFC 110 (got that too) first last night and got to Fitch/Saunders before I fell asleep.

This whole thing is kind of pointless if you guys don't offer thoughts on the fights. In my opinion, at least.
Without thoughts, this is the kind of thing that belongs in that banter board.

I guess it's also why you have almost 8,000 posts in just over a year, Oblivion. Jesus in christ.

Regrettably, Ken Shamrock Vs. Pedro Rizzo. The fight was terrible to watch, as was the leg kick from Rizzo.

I'm making my way through the UFC #112 2-DVD set and I just finished watching the Matt Hughes/Renzo Gracie fight. Overall, a great fight I thought and it was awesome seeing Matt Hughes finish him off.
Next up is the B.J. Penn/Frankie Edgar fight, followed by the abortion which was the Anderson Silva/Demian Maia main event fight.

UFC Unleashed last night on ONE HD: (complete with Oblivion's thoughts on the fights!! Cheers Valo)
Marcus Davis VS Ben Saunders - As much as I like Davis, I had a feeling this fight would come down to the impressive clinch game of Saunders, who used his reach advantage incredibly well, and it showed. Davis' issues with scar tissue were evident here, but he got some good shots in, though the outcome was never in question. Good showing from Saunders.
Amir Sadollah VS Phil Baroni - Probably the fight of the night (for this edition of Unleashed). Baroni's opening salvo was brilliant to see, but Sadollah blew me away with his ability to weather the storm, mix up the clinch and his strikes, even absorbing shots here and there (dirty boxing) from Baroni. Sadollah's knees and elbows were devastating, as were certain leg kicks stemming from the second round. Baroni with bugger-all in the tank seemed to know it was over for him too...a great fight IMO, and great performance from Sadollah.
-Anthony Johnson VS Josh Koscheck Having been impressed with Johnson in previous outings (against Yoshida, for one) I looked forward to this fight, as I'm not terribly impressed with Koscheck as a whole. I won't deny that he's incredibly talented and has improved striking (which showed here) but maybe in time I will, I dunno. Johnson's quickness was superb, as was his takedown defense, and despite the interruptions (a knee to the head while seated, and two fingerpokes from Koshcheck to Johnson) it was a good fight, nothing great though.
;D

I was planning on watching the Aldo/Faber Blu-Ray but couldn't find it at all in stores. 3 Walmart's, 2 FYE's and a few Best Buys, no sign of the blu-ray anywhere. They had the DVD(which is anywhere from $10.99-$12.99) I found a few times. Pissed I can't find the BR
Anyway, since that was a FAIL, the last fights I watched were Aoki/Kawajiri in DREAM and Lesnar/Carwin for the first time since it happened. Lesnar really got his ass kicked in that first round. Jesus.
Aoki/Kawajiri was a display of why Aoki is so good. He'll stick to you like glue until he gets the sub. And he did it without his magical rainbow tights.
