Watched it, hated it. Way too predictable and it did remind me a bit of the Prestige ending. I don't really see what all the hype is, along with Avatar. ...................................... .............................................

I thought Memento was great, but I much prefer Inception, to be honest.

I'm just wondering what he found predictable about it.

Beats me. I can honestly say virtually everything about the film suprised me, and the only bits that didn't, were things that I had already seen from the trailers.

I'm just wondering what he found predictable about it. *SPOILERS* Old guy at beginning was obviously the Jap Buisness man. Knew the ending was gonna cut off before it dropped( If I would of never seen prestigue, i might of been suprised) Dicaprio's Nightmares were gonna come into the dreams and mess it up for everyone once the ex-wife/japan scene was shown. I mean just scene for scene, it's not hard to guess what the next scene is going to be(if your familier with the directors previous work that is). Some great cinematography and visuals but it's almost so complex with the plot, that it's easy to guess what their going for. I had a similar problem with Avatar, it played out more or less like a big Budget Ferngully, Dances with Wolves, Poccahantas. The Plot was just too easy to guess but was visually epic. And on top of that, the whole movie just kinda kicked your butt straight into it and then went backwards to get forwards.

Saw this movie yesterday. Was quite anticipating it for a few months. All I can say to it is, it's amazing. Hope to see it once more in theaters to close the door on some thoughts when it comes to the plot.
Just joined today, cool to see a thread dedicated to it, especially with loads of posts.

I'm just wondering what he found predictable about it. *SPOILERS* Old guy at beginning was obviously the Jap Buisness man. Considering they have them acknowledge that they remember each other and then cut to the past of Saito and DiCaprio (looking almost exactly the same) sitting in almost the exact same positions I'd say anybody who didn't get that in the first 5 minutes probably has the IQ of a box turtle who suffered a massive headwound.

Noza, you don't need to defend the movie so admirably.
People are going to have different opinions, and it makes you come off as insecure if you keep on challenging it. Trust me, I know.
I loved the movie (It's my number 1 of the year), but let people have their opinions.
Debating is fine, but just calling people haters gets old, hoss.

I do know what you mean first hand, as I was talking to you in the Horror thread about how I felt 'The Wolfman' was only average. Of course, people are completely entitled to their own opinion. If someone says that they hate the film, I'm not just going to say, "OMG, idiot, It'z da best film everzzzzzz". This is also the only guy (I believe) that has given the filma bad review in this whole thread, so I wouldn't have said that I 'keep on challenging it'. At the end of the day, it's the due's opinion. He doesn't like the film, I do, it's that simple. I can't make him like the film, even if I did go on at him constantly (which I'm not going too). And by the way, just for the record, on a personal note, do you prefer Inception to this years released The Wolfman?

I'd give it about a 7.5 now, while Inception was easily a 10. I'm just looking out.

This is an awful way to look at this movie.. I hope he understand he probably ruined Inception for himself.. Now I'm gonna do my best to forget everything I just read.. How so? Everything he said makes perfect sense, and it just goes to show that this film works on so many different levels. Whether you choose to believe this theory or not, it works equally both ways. And that's what makes this a brilliant film, is that even though things may seem black and white, it's totally up to your interpretation. There is no right or wrong answer, it's all up to the viewer. If you think the top fell at the end, then it fell. If you think that it didn't, then it didn't. only problem w/ that is, mal wasnt dreaming when she jumped. if she was, she wouldve gave cobb a kick to wake him up and prove she was right...right?
