It saddens me to see how lost how many of you guys are on here. You guys just treat religion and people's beliefs as 'ridiculous.' And many of you don't even consider the fact that there IS a God, and his name is God, and his son is Jesus Christ who died for YOU so you can be with him forever. And I think we all know the consequences for you if you don't choose to live with God.
I'm a Christian, and I'm proud of it. I'm not perfect, and I'll admit that as well. But my life as a Christian is amazing. I think the thing that scare people away from commitment to God is that they believe that to become a Christian that you must quit having fun. Sure, there's some things that you refrain from, but I think that all of us can agree that Christians are the most diverse religious group in the world. Every Christian has their own way, and their own lifestyle, but they all serve one God. I know so many different types of people, and having a major Christian university in my hometown allows me to see those different types of people.
And also, many of you doubt the 'scientific proof' of God. Let's look at it this way: all of the major elements on Earth and in space are disappearing at 'such-and-such' rate per year. If the Earth was billions of years old, these elements would be GONE. Also, if the Sun is expanding two or three inches per year, it would have already consumed our galaxy over these billions of years. There's so many other proofs that I don't have time to list on here that I urge you to look up for yourself.
I'm not one of these kinds of Christians that say "RAWR RAWR YOU'RE NOT A CHRISTIAN YOU'RE GOING TO HELL!!!!!" I want everyone on this Earth to be in Heaven with me one day. God is presenting you guys that opportunity, you just have to accept Him. I promise you that if you do, your life will be so much better.
Take it as you want- God Bless.

I don't have a religion. But I don't mind anybody having any belief - as long as they don't ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) ing preach it at me that I have to be this way. That's just total bullcrap. The only acceptable person in that frame of reference would be CM Punk. But he's just a character. ![:)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/smiley.gif)

And many of you don't even consider the fact that there IS a God, and his name is God, God is a Title. Much like president. Jehovah is God's name. Not God. Psalms 83:18 I am one of Jehovah's witnesses. Have been for 16 years. Made the decision when I started studying the Bible for the first time in my life. What I learned in there is SO different from all other religions. No hellfire Eze 18:4 etc. I had to be one. Other religions teach things which are simply not in the Bible.

What differences are there in being a Jehovah's Witness, or are there any major differences at all? I've always been curious.

JW's are ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) ing insane. In fact it fits into every discription of a cult. My friend was a JW and on his 18th birthday he got disfellowshipped and subsequently everyone he considered a friend from the church could no longer even acknowledge his existence. Another JW friend of mine he couldn't celebrate his own birthday, rise for the national anthem. It was ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) ed up. As for me I'm a non-practising Christian in the sense I believe there's something there and I've accepted God BUT I don't believe in the idea of having to go to "his house" weekly just to show I care. Failing that I'm contemplating converting to Zen Buddhism. It seems more like a religion that suits my character and the person I am.

It's cool if you wanna call God Jehovah, but that's a mistranslation. The God of the Hebrews is named YAHWEH.

![](http://cvcomics.com/wp-content/gallery/zombie/slayer-slaytanic-patch.jpg) Nah, just a plain old dude that really doesn't believe in anything other than inner-strength. I'd like to think I am my own God. ![:-X](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/lipsrsealed.gif) You know what's funny about the Slaytanic patch and your subsequent post? It's the fact that what you described is essentially LaVeyan Satanism. Which is something I actually find to be fascinating.

The biggest is that they don't believe Jesus was fully God....thus making much of what Christianity is void, as, if he wasn't, then it doesn't matter what He did

I am jewish, and couldn't be prouder. Even though I was raised Jewish, I feel that if I had a choice I would still pick Judaism because I agree whole heartedly with its values and beliefs.
