 Stupid question, but did they really use one of the winged eagles belts to make the hardcore title, or was it a replica winged eagle title they used |

From close up pics I have seen, I think it was a real Reggie parks belt and not a replica.

I think the real story was that the belt was a gift from a fan given to Mick Foley and was used in the storyline.

Wasn't it the WWF title belt that Mr. Perfect smashed? And they taped it back together?

Legend has it that it was the winged eagle WWF Title belt that Mr. Perfect had taken from Hogan and smashed with a hammer on Saturday Night's Main Event.

Also the rumor was it was the title Mr Perfect smashed on Saturday Night's Main Event several year before

It's on the Best of SNME DVD - November 1989. I could not find it on youtube, but maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.
