I just picked up a TNA5 Lance Hoyt and I'm having trouble moving his waist around. I'm thinking that it just doesnt move. Either way I dont want to break it... anyone know for sure whether or not his waist rotates? Thanks in advance.

When in doubt, don't force it. I believe the waist should move, but sometimes the joints are too tight because of paint applications essentially acting to glue a waist and torso together. You could CAREFULLY run an exacto knife or some other very thin blade around the waist joint and see if that will loosen it.

warm his wrist under some hot water and move it slow if it doesnt look right when turning it just stop and see if you can return it...

When I swiveled his wasite, his pelvis exploded. I had to super glue him back together.

Mine doesn't move, but I prefer it that way. Sometimes torso's can become too loose.

Toybiz prides themselves on tons of articulation, so the waist IS supposed to move, it just doesnt because of whatever they do during production, which kinda sucks, but we do wait long enough for the figs anyways haha

alright, I tried boiling it... It did nothing; and I have done this in the past and loosened up a few figs, I knew what I was doing. I also counted all of his POA and realized that even without the waist moving he has 31 POA just like the package says he should. So all in all I dont believe the waist should move.

Hey, I have a Hoyt question myself. Didn't he wear a black cowboy hat as Dallas? I'm just wondering because I have an extra Jakks one and wsnted to put it on him if he did.

The reason the torso doesn't move is because of the molded belt buckle. It sticks up from the rest of the waistline stopping the sides of the torso from being rotated past it. It's a blessing in disguise especially if the waist gets loose on ya.

Most TNA figures have defects like this... There's not much you can do about it...
