So...this show is looking pretty bare. I know I'm counting on two more things from people who desperately needed more time, but outside of three matches and four promos...this show is absolutely empty. I mean, I'm still waiting on a couple of votes...so if you want something in the show, get it in now...I'm willing to give it a day or so if it'll help make the show look less bare. I can only bullsh*t so much with Werner and Steel without it sounding like an attempt to fill space. Haha. that's terrible, since 2 of those matches and 1 of those promos came from me.. |

Precisely. As always, much love for the people who send in sh*t week after week, but some of these new guys...man...it would be cool to see promos and stuff from them on the show, especially without me asking for it. It's not mandatory, but it gives a better feel to a show when more people are involved in it's creation outside of the every week me, Bennett, Drakz, Kyzer, Schneider, Demon, Cross and Raider. I'd love to see promos from Dashing R fighting a bowl of Ramen Noodles. I'd love to see Cam Stone rant about his violent nature. I'd love to see Slanted playing with his action figures, helping to determine his match. Anything. Everything. Haha.

For this show I managed 2 RPs, a segment, a promo and a match. Can't say there is much more I can add. Really looking forward to the results.
For new comers waiting to be booked for the next show, there is no better way to make your presence felt by getting a promo in to the owners for a show. Maybe this should be mentioned and encouraged on the sign-up page, even providing a template or some type of example that they can follow to get started. There just seems to be a lot of new people joining that wait to be booked (and give up before getting started because of the turnover) instead of making a debut RP or promo to be included in the show.

Yeah. I remember the good old days when new guys would write vignettes for themselves for the show before they debut. Yep. Haha.

And since it's Mother's Day, I pose the question to others:
Have you written about your character's mother in your RP before?
I know Drakz has had a running story with the issues he has with his mother, Demon's mother recently passed, Slanted's mother is like Drakz, and Mak has used his mother a few times as well. Oh yeah and Samantha's mom/ Schneider's ex counts too, I guess. She kind of is a mother, just not a good one. And possibly Meg stepping up to be Samantha's new 'mom'? Am I forgetting anyone?

Well, she was in my first Jackson RP, and she's referenced in mostly every RP in some way, shape or form. Since I have no father figure for him, I've written him as sort of a momma's boy.
As for my Malakai RPs, well, Malakai was adopted as a baby, but the adoptive mother was only mentioned once, years ago...and it was for a split second when I had Malakai (at the time named The High Horror, hence why everyone calls me Horror if they don't call me by my real name, Shawn) mention how he had adoptive parents. You know, thinking about it now, I never actually really ever focused on Malakai's childhood much at all. Most of the backstory for him starts when he was kicked out of the seminary when he was 18 when found out he and his ex found out they were pregnant.

Schneider's mom appeared once, and has been referenced a few times. And Ashley, Samantha used to be a regular.. Now she's off wandering in the desert somewhere outside of Nevada |

No, I get it. But there was a time about a month and a half ago where we killed off about 7 sub-characters in one show. It was crazy.

As far as parents go, I have never explored that. I have given Kyzer a brother though. I don't really reference him often though.
And I have been killing sub characters since 03 so everyone is just a sheep following my lead.

Believe it or not, one of the Cross parents were going to die in a previous RP, then I slept on it, woke up and went "Nope." That's is. No chuckle-worthy punchline, just went "Nope."

If you want to, you can. I have everything written and coded, so now I'm just waiting for one thing that's desperately needed for this show. I'm hoping they'll turn in what it is by tonight, but I'm gridlocked until it's in. Aside from that though, everything's pretty much done. If you send anything before that's in, I'll edit it in. Otherwise, everything's done except for the one thing I need. So...yeah.

It was always five. Last time we got four, and the time before we had six, but traditionally, it's been five, even before I became owner a couple of years ago. Haha.
