Well I was just wondering, what got you into to wrestling? Did you sneak into the room when your Dad was watching it and got hooked? Was it a match? A friend? A wrestler? A feud? What got you into wrestling?
For me I would have to say Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels at Badd Blood 1997. I was pretty young and I woke up randomly in the night and walked out into the living room, just in time to see Undertaker make his entrance, my bro and dad were watching it, and I was in awe. I thought he was so cool. I watched the match, and for some reason my dad didn't tell me to go back, and it was just awesome. S I started watching Raw, and I was hooked ever since. Taker is still my favorite today.
So what got you into it?
Edit: Kane coming out too is something else I thought was cool, expect when he cost Taker the match!

My 2 older cousins were big fans and I walked in the room and I remember hearing Austin talking trash to someone in 1998 and thought It was brilliant. One of the first matches I saw was Undertaker Vs Mankind in Hell In A Cell, If that doesn't get you hooked then nothing will.
I think their wrestling figures also got me hooked too, I started collecting the mini ring sets with 6 figures etc.

I was changing through the channels in 2002 and I saw Nidia's Ass. I thought wrestling was awesome, and then bam! Eddie Guerrero vs. Edge for my first match.

My sister was into it in the early 90's..Then I started watching with her and really liked it..I couldn't stand Hogan back then either..I was Macho Man all the way..It was HBK though who really got me full out addicted...In 1996 I really became a die-hard fan..I was so happy when Shawn won the Iron man match..I've been watching pretty much non stop since then.

Great question. I got into wrestling when I was a little kid (like 4 or 5) and used to watch NWA wrestling on a little black and white TV with my grandpa. Flair with the 70's plaid suit and Steamboat with big hair. Big Chief Wahoo McDaniel. The Brisco brothers. Classic stuff.

I don't remember exactly what got me hooked. But I remember the first time I watched it, George the Animal Steele was fighting someone, circa 1980, and I just kept watching.

The first wrestling memory I have is Greg Valentine breaking Ric Flair's nose with a cane in '79. Even though everyone told me "wrestling is fixed", it looked good to me and that was all that mattered.

When I was 3, My Uncle, cousins and my dad brought me to my first show (can only remember one thing from it... and that was that Undertaker scared the crap out of me). Then when I was 4 my brother and I got an ultimate warrior wrestling buddy for christmas and I was terrified of it because I thought it was real (still have it on tape lol).
Im 21 now and although in my late teenage years I stopped watching wrestling. I've always loved it and I have now refound my love for it. I've gone to tons of events including Summerslam 94', Wrestlemania 13, No Way Out when NWO returned, Backlash when Shane jumped off the top of the titan tron, tons of raws/smackdowns including (i believe) John Cena's debut.

My 2 Uncles were huge fans and collected the hasbro figures. One Sunday afternoon I went there and my uncle was watching a PPV match Undertaker vs Kama in a casket match. From there I was hooked i played with the figures and watched it. I got my first figure later that month(1999) I believe. The figure was a thrasher figure lol In 2003-2004 i took a break away but now im back watching religiously

I would have to say my Hulk Hogan and Cpl. Kirshner LJN's, or the Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling cartoon. That and my Father was big into wrestling in the mid 80's.

My mom got me a few of the Hasbro's when I was like 3 or 4, and that's what started it really. Got to about 94-95, and I wasn't allowed to watch it because it came on at 9, and I was 8 years old, and up at 9 was a no-no back then. 1996, in 4th grade, is when it started. Then in 1997 it snowballed. My mom was still working at the KB store then, and she still wasn't comfortable with my brother or I being home by ourselves [my brother was 12 and I was 10, hadn't been my birthday in '97 yet] and we went to one of her co-worker's house, as her husband was home and could watch us. Their son was obsessed with wrestling. Had each and every different Hasbro in a line on his window sill, posters on the walls and door to his room, video games, VHS tapes [we are in 1997, mind you LOL]..everything. It was heaven to a 10 year old such as myself. Plus it was a Monday, and Raw that night was when Paul Heyman infamously proclaimed to Jerry Lawler "Your challenge...has been accepted! ECW is in the HOUSE!!!!!" Yep the first episode of Monday Night Raw that I was allowed to watch, was the true ECW invasion. You couldn't even begin to imagine how entrancing that was for a 10 year old...my brother got into it a little bit too, but sadly [to me] he fell out of it by late 2001-into 2002.

First thing I remember seeing was Hogan slamming Andre... I was like 3 or 4 years old. I had some LJN's and I thought they were really awesome.
My best friend's older brother was really into wrestling and he got me into more. We were huge fans of Mr. Perfect, Macho Man, Kerry Von Erich, The Rockers, SuperFly... RIC FLAIR. We used to wrestle and all that. And we had Wrestling Buddies. I had Macho King and Ultimate Warrior.
When the Hasbro's came out, is when I really got into it religiously. Some of my favorite memories are going to KB Toys & Toys R Us to find the figures. Still have some of them. I remember 1 day filling my backpack with Hasbros and taking them ALL to school to show them off.
I kinda lost interest for awhile and only watched it loosely... until THE ATTITUDE ERA... when everyone I knew was watching wrestling. It was a really fun time to be a wrestling fan. I was in high-school at the time.
I lost interest again in about 2003.
This is going to sound odd... but when Benoit murdered his family and committed suicide, I started watching again. I remembered how much of a fan I actually was. The Benoit tribute episode of RAW was the 1st episode I watched in forever (remember at the time we thought someone killed him)

Would you believe the Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling cartoon in 1985?

My Mum, believe it or not.
In the early '80s, my parents would watch what WWE programming was available, and they let me and my brother watch with them. The match involved Tito Santana, but his opponent escapes me now. Then the 'Rock n Wrestling' boom happened, and it was Hogan, Piper, Orndorff, Orton Jr, Savage, Andre, Ultimate Warrior, Mr Perfect et al.
We then got the LJNs, and it was on from there.
