I often see returned toys with the figures swapped out, but today I finally decided to alert an employee. I was looking at the Mattel Elite figures and saw a Miz, but something seemed off. Someone had bought it, took out Miz and the accessories, stuck a Jakks Benoit figure inside and returned it. Weird seeing Benoit on the pegs again. There was also a Elite Cena, but the figure inside was a Jakks Kennedy. The accessories were replaced with a Jakks trash can lid. Anybody have any other strange finds?

Back when 25th Anniversary GI Joes were on the market, this wasn't uncommon with 2-packs and vehicle packs since they could be easily opened and resealed. Also, I remember finding my Doc promo figure stickers missing from my first 2-pack since scalpers would steal the stickers from the stores since you really couldn't tell if they were gone.

The first figure swap I ever saw was during the BCA days...it was the Ken Shamrock packaging with The Sultan figure in it. LOL I've seen a ton of other swaps/stolen figures but that was the most memorable.

i once saw a ppv2 miz packging but it was the miz from the john morrison and miz 2 pack

  I had to post these sweet finds! Actually I was very angry to see someone had not only returned these, but that the idiot at ToysRus' CS desk took them. I was out one day, just casually checking my local TRU in AZ when I saw some CS series 1 packaging and sprinted over to get some cool finds, when I finally realized what these were... Rip offs, and these arn't the only ones, I find two packs always botched up with a kenedy figure or even Apollo Creed in them. I swear, whoevers doing these out there, watch out cause Karma will getcha one way or another.... |
