You have no clue what you are talking about. I watched most of the 2006 World Cup and every game this world cup I have been awake for. That is the worst call in a recent World Cup game. Thought you promised not too long ago you'd get over that and never bring it up again

I think this could be one of the worst World Cup decisions too 1) To send Yakin off 2) To not send Rivaldo off. Anyway, appalling performance by us against Algeria, we don't deserve to qualify at this rate to be fair. Still, I hope we do

Amazing--France, Spain, Germany, England, AND Italy are all choking right about now.
Say what you want about South Korea and Nigeria not being good opponents, but at least Argentina is getting it done against any team. England SHOULD HAVE crushed Algeria, Spain should have had no trouble with Switzerland, Italy should have beat New Zealand. But they didn't. It's not like those matches were any less one-sided on paper than Argentina vs. South Korea.

Germany have not choked. Serbia are very underrated and have a lot of solid players. The ref ruined that game for both sides as everyone was unable to play fully because if they so much as breathed on an opponent, the ref'd send them off. Germany's finishing is still lacking though.

This is my 4th World Cup and Ive never remember seeing crazy things like whats been going on.....France refusing to practice, the United States being royally screwed with a phantom call. World Powers like England, Germany, Italy all choking. Teams like Brazil and Argentina seemingly flying under the radar even though they're taking care of business. Just crazy

I agree with the bolded text, but I certainly wouldn't be so harsh and critical. No need. Germany have not choked. Serbia are very underrated and have a lot of solid players. The ref ruined that game for both sides as everyone was unable to play fully because if they so much as breathed on an opponent, the ref'd send them off. Germany's finishing is still lacking though.Germany have been fantastic thus far. They were very unlucky against a strong Serbian team, but their finishing cannot be questioned. The only disappointment comes with Podolski missing that penalty. The Bundesliga has had the Jabulani for a while now, so majority of the German side are used to it and are more likely to control the ball and finish better because of that. They ripped Australia apart, and had they had Klose, they would have done the same to Serbia. Germany will be in the Second Round, undoubtedly.

Kaka's sending off was an absolutely disgraceful decision. Nothing wrong with what he did. Cheating Ivory Coast.

Kaka's sending off was an absolutely disgraceful decision. Nothing wrong with what he did. Cheating Ivory Coast. Well he did hit the guy in the chest with his elbow/forearm(?) but the guy did a bad acting job by holding his face thou he did get Kaka ejected. It won't hurt them much since they already advanced to the next round.

It won't hurt them much since they already advanced to the next round. It was more of a shoulder-barge, and Keita ran into Kaka. It was not a foul in any sense. It could come back to hurt them depending on how FIFA reacts to it.

But it really could and should have been 7 or 8 goals. They will beat Ghana and progress.

A win is a win.

That is the worst call in a recent World Cup game. Thought you promised not too long ago you'd get over that and never bring it up again should be brought up as often as possible,if it annoys you Id bring it up every day.so happy to see what happening to the French......on and off the pitch.just brilliant USA were robbed the other night......perfect goal. England shocked me ......I was expecting a comfortable 2-0 from them.not to take away from Algeria though-they played a good game and were the pushovers many made them out to be. I wouldnt be too worried about Italy-they barely got into the knockout round in 82/06 and went on to win it.they chronically underperform until the KO stages in any tourney IMHO. Argentina and Brazil both look good.....people say they dont look that good-but they are getting comfortable wins and scoring goals.

this all proves what this World Cup is about for us. this World Cup is a chance for the US to finally get the respect it deserves. You've recently lost to Denmark, Czech Republic and Slovakia. That doesn't signal a team that needs respect.I keep seeing this post and giggling knowing there's a chance that the United States will advance to the knockout round and England wont (Not that I dont want them to be there)

There's an equal chance of progression.
England have to beat Slovenia. I mean, if all goes to plan, Capello will finally change the formation and the squad. Rooney as the lone striker, Gerrard just behind, Joe Cole on the left, Lennon on the right, Lampard and Barry in the centre.
However, even if we beat Slovenia, I have a feeling USA are going to get the better result against Algeria.

Ive been at work when most of the games were on so Ive missed a lot and just have to catch up from Sports Talk Radio. Can someone verify if this is correct?
-England has to win by at least 3 goals to advance -United States needs a win or a tie to advance
