How come no one is talking about this kid?
The fight he had against Diego Sanchez at 114 was just amazing to watch. The knee he landed on Diego's face was NASTY. He landed it and continued to DOMINATE Sanchez in every area. Sanchez was the guy WHO JUST FOUGHT FOR A TITLE AGAINST BJ. Everyone talks about how the English fighters have no takedown defense or any wrestling, but Hathaway proved that you can have those skills AND be English. Diego is more of a wrestler, and Hathaway stuffed pretty much every single one, and even when it was on the ground, Hathaway was able to get right back up. The domination on the feet was just amazing. He gave Diego lots of big shots and picked him apart.
This kid is 13-0 and has had AWESOME fights in the UFC so far. You know what the scary thing about this is? He's only 22 years old! Just wait until he gets older and sharpens up his skills. That's gonna be scary.

I was pissed that I only got to see the last few moments of his fight against Sanchez and I hope I can see the whole thing soon. I can't wait to see more fights from him with bigger opponents and to see how he does against them because it sounds like he is going to be a great fighter, and him being only 22 is pretty nuts and I can't wait to see how he is going to improve as he gets older.

i was pulling for diego in the fight, but hathaway REALLY impressed me at ufc 114. i'll for sure be looking forward to his next fight. yeah, and it's VERY scary that he's only 22 years old.

Similar to Jon Jones then in age, and just as impressive. Hope to see more of him soon.

John Hathaway looked amazing in his fight. He had Sanchez beat in every area, and I think he will definitely have a bright future in the UFC.

so damn surprised. Diego got schooled. I don't know where Diego goes from here...maybe back to 155?
but yeah...John Hathaway looked great. Can't believe the kid is only 22.

I wasn't able to catch the fight but I was surprised when I knew that Sanchez lost.

I would say match him up with James Wilkes. . . but after beating Diego I think he's already a rung or two above Wilkes. Poor James Wilkes. . . getting his azz handed to him by Matt Brown.

At this rate, Diego may only be able to school bottom tier WW's, whereas he could likely hang with any LW that isn't named BJ Penn. It must be a matter of pride, since LW is clearly where he needs to put all his efforts.
Anyways, I haven't been able to see as much of Hathaway as I'd like to, but with this performance, he's definitely on my radar. I'll have to check up on more of his fights.

Yeah, I'd say Diego is a little over rated. I don't think Hathaway is anywhere near title contention, but I'd like to be proven wrong. Diego underestimated Hathaway and paid for it.
