I'm 13 and have collected figures since I was 4 but my mom always wants me to stop collecting while my dad lets me collect so I don't think I will out grow them but I might

I'm 25 and still buy toys, and I don't care. I just don't buy insane amounts like you guys do. That's not an insult, at all. Believe me, if I didn't have a girlfriend, bills, rent, etc I'd have a room full of these things. The Mattel figures are so nice, they actually got me back into collecting WWE. Although right now I'm only interested in the Legends and 1/1000s, some of the elites are so nice, I may have to grab them too. Right now what I really need is a Roddy Piper Entrance Greats for my girlfriend. She feeds my habit, unfortunately.

If you collect something with the hope that you will later be able to sell them and get all your money back that you invested in them you are collecting stuff for the wrong reason.

That is a freaking beautiful saying right there!! I am totally gonna use it for now on. But I agree, I won't ever stop collecting. Though, I do only collect certain guys I like now, I am not gonna just buy wrestling figures for the sake of it. They have to be the guys I dig the most, like HBK, Jericho, Edge, Christian and a few others.

I stopped back in 2004. Among the last figures I bought were Shawn, Bret, and Warrior from CS1. Good figures.
Now I'm back into it a little, I'm not "collecting" per se, but I've been trying to get some animating done
A) because it's fun for me to do, and fun to see people's reactions, B) because I want to get a career doing something creative, and it builds a nice resume.
So I've got a few DA's from trades and just bought a RSR. I've still got loads of BCA, TTL, and other Jakks figures that I plan to get rid of, but I'll probably keep a few.
Moral of the story...don't hesitate to buy something until you KNOW you don't want it. If you simply don't buy a figure because you're convinced you won't want it in a year, then you're going to be upset a year from now when you're buying it second-hand for more than you could have spent in retail.

I've already lost some interest, not neccesarily in mattel, but in wwe in general, so I'm just gonna buy legends and a few elites from now on, no more basic for me

I'll be 26 this year and I still love to collect figures(mostly UFC). I still do my own feds with my figures and have kept all of my Jakks WWE collection too. I can't part with them at least not yet maybe 5/10 years down the road but ya never know what might happen by then..
