...they're worried they will 'grow out' of them? not just as in actually getting older, but just losing interest? i mean, i restarted a few years ago and bought quite a few. i have quite a lot now, and i'm worried to buy more because of incase i spend a lot on some figs, then just get fed up with them, and have them lying around in the loft.
i've seen so many on classifieds for instance who just lose interest, and get rid of the hundreds they have collected, selling them for a fraction.
some of the mattels are amazing, and i'm resisting buying some just because i don't want to risk wasting so much money. anyone else the same about collecting figs in general?

Im 40 years old and love displaying them. I play with my 5 yr old son with them. I will prob get rid of my near complete DA collection though , way too much space it takes up. Mattel I like due to smaller size and great deco

I'm 43 (cr@p I'm old) if I haven't grown out of collecting by now I doubt I ever will. My only rule is I have to like the wrestler before I purchase it. If I didn't/don't find them entertaining when watching them then I don't need to see them on my shelves. *exception is if I get them when on sale.

As an indy wrestler, its come up quite alot on why I still have wrestling figures..... But, I've pretty much quit my Marvel, DC, Movie collection except for a few movie ones here and there. But to quit Wrestling figures, not so much. At least I have an excuse that im an indy wrestler so I collect what I do lol.

The love of my life has no problem with it, so I do not see any reason to grow out of it.

I always said I'd never grow out of them. That I'd always collect them.
The last WWE figures I bought were from Classics 2, and they were only bought because they were on clearance. This is when they were first released too, so 2006? 2005?

hmm... i started when i was abt 7 and i'm 21 now so i haven't grown out of it... i just cant seem to lose my interest in toys probably cos its passion more than interest... but if i really do someday, I'll give them all up to someone who can appreciate more than I could :-)

I dont think I will grow out of them or sell of my entire collection, but I would stop collecting or sell off some figures for the following reasons
1) Price. Mattel Elites and DCUC cost $14.99 now and 3.75" figures cost up to $8.99 2) Space. I am running out 3) Availability. Lines like DCUC are so hard to find in stores, I cant rely on the Internet and pay scalper prices all the time

I'm 21. I stopped collecting when I was 14/15 or so and just started back up again. I kept some of my old stuff and am pretty mad that I got rid of the rest, I really wish I still had some of that old stuff but I know if I do stop collecting at any point to just save them because I've loved wrestling all my life and have collected for A long time. My girlfriend doesnt mind it and even though she wont admit it, she finds some of the stuff cool (even built A stage for me and goes figure hunting with me). I figure I wont stop but maybe slow down if I get really busy with school/work but I know when I have A kid i'll be glad I still have em to play with.
but for now... I dont see me slowing down since I havnt been this obsessed with collecting since I was like 12 lol.

I'm almost 17 and i'm growing out of the product slowly but surely. I only buy the figs that I like. For example this past weekend I went to 4 stores which were all loaded. I only bought basic 5 HBK since its my favorite attire of his and I bought Cryme Tyme. Now with the legends line with The Rock and Duggan which are 2 of my all time faves along with Hogan (oh how I wish mattel was making a Hogan) I dont mind shelling out the 15 bucks for them each. I rarely buy figs now but Mattel gave me a minor spark in wanting to buy again. But so far i've managed to get 10 mattels so far and I plan on getting more but elites are expensive and I dont make enough money to buy alot of figs. I rarely buy figs I mostly buy dvd's, clothes, and of course GAS.

I'm 16 and I cant see myself stopping. I dont know what it is, but when you pick up a new figure fresh from the box I just get a sorta rush. Nothing like the smell of a new figure...

I'm 17, collected figs and all. Then when Mattell came out I just didn't bother, I lost intrest due to Mattell because I didn't want to start a collection again.
