I'm an old school Hughes fan, although I highly respect GSP's abilities.
It would really make me happy to if somehow Hughes were able to finally beat GSP again, one last time, to avenge the last 2 crushing defeats from GSP.
Also being a Franklin fan, I also wish we could see Rich come back and avenge his losses to Silva.
Comebacks like that although almost impossible, would be amazing to see .

Hughes has a better shot at beating GSP then Franklin beating Silva. Silva demolished Franklin in similar fashion twice. Franklin can't handle the clinch worth shit.

I don't know, maybe a rematch with silva might put his ass back in gear, the Thales and Maia fights were just stupid to watch, if I were paying for the ppv at my house instead of going out, I'd be a whole lot more pissed to spend 45$+ to watch someone dance around in the octagon for 25 minutes.

if a fighter is unable to stop Anderson from his "dancing" in the octagon then that should say something about the fighter that Anderson is facing...like maybe they don't even deserve to be in there with him..
there is a reason Anderson never did that sh** against Henderson or Franklin..because both guys deserved to be in there with him..Thales and Maia had no business being in there with him.

I dunno, I don't think he's cleared the whole division more that I think the division is just too small, I respect Silva a lot, but he has the opportunity to knock out maia, correct? Finishing the fight is a win win situation, no disrespect to the fighter, just the choices he made, it just seemed a little odd that he wasn't jumping to finish the fight when he obviously could.
I personally think the WW/MW division are both weaker than the LH LW HW's are, but I'd like to see Silva move up to LHW and fight some of the big fighters there,

I think WW is one of the strongest and most well-rounded divisions in the sport..WW's just have the misfortune of having an absolute beast as their current champ.

Same with Middleweight. Silva is just light years ahead of some guys.

Anderson is indeed a great fighter, but dancing around the ring is not the way to showcase your superiority. I'd be more impressed by the KO.

Hughes was on top when I started to get into MMA, so by nature I'm a huge fan and always will be. I LOVED watching him demolishing Gracie the way he did. Gave me flashbacks of when he used to do that to actual title contenders who stood a chance.
As much as I'd love it, it wouldn't happen. I think Joe Rogan hit the nail on the head about Matt Hughes. I belive it was him that mentioned Hughes waitiong too long to become a great boxer/striker. Nowadays, you have to be well rounded to become and stay a champ in any division. Matt Hughes was still learning to become an efficient striker while he was at the top. Then a guy like GSP comes along who can wrestle just as good as him, and is already lightyears ahead of him in the striking department, he just can't hang.
