Ibushi/Omega lose IWGP Titles!; Sawa responds to Hayato; Tyger/Kea/Sekimoto in All Japan
- At NJPW’s “New Japan Presents CMLL FANTASTICA MANIA ’11”, Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega defended the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships for a 2nd time, against IWGP Jr. Champion Prince Devitt and the new CMLL Welterweight Champion Ryusuke Taguchi, in what was said to be another great match between the two teams. Omega lost the match, when Devitt and Taguchi debuted a new double team move, the “Black Sunday”, a mix of a Dodon from Taguchi and a DDT from Devitt.
After the match, a reporter asked the new champions about Fujita Jr. Hayato’s recent comments about challenging for the titles. Devitt danced around the question, but Taguchi was more straight forward, saying they’ll accept the challenge, anytime that Hayato and Hyugaji wanted it.

- Munenori Sawa commented on the recent deterioration of his friendship with Hayato:
“I never meant for this to happen at all. I just wanted to have another one of my best friends wrestle with me. I don’t know why Hayato took it this way, I thought he would like having more friends with us, to fight with us. I thought it would be fun, apparently I was very wrong. I will keep teaming with Sato, especially after the words Hayato had the other day.
I don’t want to fight Hayato, he’s still my friend, no matter what happens. If it has to come to that, so be it, but I don’t want it to. I didn’t mean for all of this to happen, but Hayato wants to force the issue, me and Sato have no choice but to fight back.”
- It has been announced that Justin Tyger and Taiyo Kea will defend their Heavyweight Tag Team Titles against another VDM team, KONO, and the recently returned Joe Doering. Also on the show, Daisuke Sekimoto continues to team with Yuji Okabayashi, this time, wrestling the All Asia Tag Team Champions Manabu Soya and Seiya Sanada not once, but twice.
Also, Tyger look to have a shot at the Triple Crown Championship! As he enters a three way match for the contendership, against KENSO and KONO! How will Tyger fair in the match against two of his Voodoo Murders rivals?

For those of you that may not remember, I am Hafiz Abdurehman, the “Enforcer of Truth”. I debuted on November 15th, 2008. I won the GEN Heavyweight Champion once, just 2 months after I debuted. I defeated Shawn Michaels on January 14th, 2009 to win it, before I lost it to Kensuke Sasaki on March 19. I spent the rest of the year teaming with, my friend to this day, Justin Tyger, and Kenny King. King and I nearly won the GEN Tag Team Championships on two occasions, but we never did win the belts. I left the promotion in October, with my final match being a tag against Satoshi Kojima and Hiroshi Yamato on the 19th, a month shy of marking 1 year since joining GEN. I haven’t wrestled since.
I spent my entire tenure in GEN preaching about a “dream” I had. I had no clue what my dream actually was. I thought getting into a big promotion was my dream. I thought winning the Heavyweight Championship was my dream. I had done all of that, but I still had a burning in my heart. Those were false dreams, the real dream was hidden underneath it all.
It took me a long time to realize, none of that was my dream. They were great moments in my life I’ll never forget, but my dream, my true dream, was to just do what I love, wrestle. To wrestle with my friends and heroes. That was my dream all along, not everything I rambled about, racism, poverty, civil rights. I just wanted to wrestle, I didn’t want to change the world or people’s ideas, I just wanted to wrestle, and I realize that now. A year and three months after I left GEN, I want to wrestle again.
I’ve made overtures toward GATTACA: PROJECT and my friend, the Interim President, Justin Tyger, and I hope I can have the pleasure of living my true dream once again.

“It’s not over. This will go on forever, if that’s as long as it takes to prove I am the best.” – Satoshi Kojima
- Words have never rang more true, as Satoshi Kojima denies the BURNING/F4 feud to be over. Kojima has thrown a huge twist into the mix, as he states a new member will be added to F4 at EUGENICS 55 as they will face off against the legendary team of Kenta Kobashi and Jun Akiyama! Kojima hinted that the mystery partner won’t be the only surprise he has in store for BURNING!

Hama and Nakanoue look for revenge after their loss against the Heavyweight Champion himself, Daisuke Sekimoto! Sekimoto teams, this time, with young lion Fale Simitaitoko to clash with the All Japan stars! Will Sekimoto repeat the match from All Japan, pinning Nakanoue? Will he or Hama turn the tide, defeating the champion?
- This tour will see two debuts for GATTACA: PROJECT, as the former GEN Heavyweight Champion Hafiz Abdurehman makes his debut, against his former tag team partner, the Interim President Justin Tyger! Will Hafiz make this a grand return to Japan? Also, Tomoaki Honma debuts in a match against Takashi Okita! Will Okita stop Honma’s GATTACA: PRO run before it even begins?
- After their great, time limit draw match at HALO V, GATTACA has decided to reward the young lions, Fale Simitaitoko and Chris Brookes, will singles matches with their respective division’s champions! Fale will battle Heavyweight Champion Daisuke Sekimoto, while Chris will battle it out with Junior Heavyweight Champion Ryuji Hijikata! Will Fale and Brookes surprise the world again?

Sato mounted Hayato, raining down punches, as Sawa pulled him off, before Hayato and Rui slid out of the ring!
- In the second GREAT JOB! match, Fale Simitaitoko battled the Heavyweight Champion Daisuke Sekimoto! Fale tried to mount an offense against the champion, but Sekimoto kept Fale on his heels, throwing him around like Fale has never been before. Sekimoto set Fale up for a German Suplex, but Fale reversed, spinning out of it, before kicking Sekimoto in the back! Sekimoto wrenched in pain, as Fale grabbed him, hooking his arms, and putting Sekimoto on his shoulder, preparing for the Backbreaker… but Sekimoto slipped out to, quickly snatching Fale and hitting a German Suplex! Okada stomped Kono, as Taniguchi broke away from Kakinuma! Taniguchi and Okada met in the middle, side my side, as Kakinuma and Kono raised up in front of them! The two teams stared of for a brief moment, before they erupted in elbows and kicks and slaps, but before either side broke any ground… the bell rang! The time limit has expired! The four men stopped their actions, taking deep breaths and regaining themselves as the announcement of the draw was made. After a few moments, Kono got a microphone, and claimed all four of the men in the ring were the future of GATTACA, and Japan. He said that they needed to band together, and take on their dreams! He put his fist out, as Kakinuma reached his out, touching Kono’s. BREAKING NEWS: KEA AND TYGER LOSE TAG TITLES!
In their 8th defense of All Japan’s Tag Team Championships, Taiyo Kea and Justin Tyger failed to defend! The friends lost the belts against the VOODOO Murders teaming of KONO, and, making his All Japan return, Joe Doering! Their entire reign was flooded with VOODOO Murders challengers, defeating them all throughout whatever adversity was presented, but after 7 months, VDM finally claimed the titles as their own!
Tyger’s future in All Japan is currently unclear. He will finish out the current tour, but, Tyger said that after this, he doesn’t know. “I would love to keep coming back, this is where it all started for me. I know the door is still open for me, but it all lays with them if they want me or not.”
Kea’s future in GATTACA: PROJECT is well put, as he will continue to make special appearances whenever called upon. "Tyger has been one of my best friends for years, I love working for him and Marufuji. I'll be in GATTACA whenever they want me."

In a surprising match, we saw the two teams go to a full, 30 minute time limit! The teams will meet again later in the tour. Will this score be settled?

After a lengthy hiatus following HALO V and the subsequent tour, a press conference was held today to announce the return of GATTACA: PROJECT! Justin Tyger, the Interim President of GATTACA, touched on various subjects during the conference:
- GATTACA: PRO is fine, the long hiatus was for various reason, but none negative. Rumors of the end of GATTACA were exaggerated. Tyger stated he wants GATTACA to live on forever.
- Several All Japan talents will be used this tour. Tyger listed off KAI, Hiroshi Yamato, Ryota Hama, Yasufumi Nakanoue, and BUSHI were coming. Tyger dodged rumors of the former Triple Crown Champion Hama challenging Sekimoto, saying “We’ll see what happens at EUGENICS 56.”
- On the topic of All Japan, Tyger was asked about his future in the promotion, answering that details were sketchy, but it would be some time before Tyger was in All Japan again. He spoke highly of his return there, and said he would love to work there again. He and Taiyo Kea will continue to team periodically no matter Tyger’s usage in All Japan.
- When asked about Chris Prospect, his return and joining of F4, Tyger was slightly confused. He said he knew nothing of Prospect’s unhappiness. Saying that Prospect resignation was just as much of a surprise to him as to everyone else. “I don’t know what’s gotten into him. He’s a great talent, won more titles than most people, I don’t know what exactly made him snap,” he said, before adding “With the addition of Tenzan and Prospect to F4, I don’t know who could ever stop them.”
- Daisuke Sekimoto’s name was brought up, and Tyger spoke highly of his championship reign, saying “Sekimoto is a great champion. He’s a good talent, and is incredibly dedicated to wrestling. The dude wrestles more matches in a week that a lot of us do in a month, and he is holding more singles titles right at this moment that I’ve held in my life. I’m proud that he is leading this promotion right now. I would quickly plaster his face all over a GATTACA poster, because the man truly deserve it.” When asked who he predicts will end the reign, Tyger answered, “I honestly don’t know. He’s had an amazing reign so far, with 5 defenses. He’s doing a fabulous job showcasing GATTACA with his 3 outsider defenses, but there’s a lot of home talent that’s chomping at the bit to get a shot at him. I know Taniguchi would love to get a shot, he’s the closest anyone has came to beating Sekimoto since Tenryu pinned him last summer. I don’t know who will take him down, but I can tell you it won’t be soon. I believe that Sekimoto will shatter all the GEN and GATTACA defense records. I do believe he will be the first to break double digit defenses. He’s a great champion.”
- The increase of tag teams and stables was brought to attention, and Tyger responded that he loved it. Tyger himself is almost a tag team specialist, winning several tag team titles over the years. “I love tag team wrestling, and Japan I very reliant on tag matches. I love that we’re going to see more friendships, more matches, and more feuds come out of this. New Generation Force is a great stable of kids. They truly are the next generation of wrestling. Kensuke Office is great for all of the students involved, and has done all of them wonders in their careers. I think Shibata’s new stable of guys LAUGHTER7 is different, I’m very excited to see where they go, and the sheer dominance that F4 has torn through GATTACA is extremely exciting. I don’t know who will end them, if anyone will, but it’s exciting as could be.”
- Following the questions Tyger announced the full card for EUGENICS 56. The show will see: - The return of Hama and Nakanoue, as they battle Sekimoto and Soya. - LAUGHTER7 officially forms, as Shibata, Ishii, and Honma battle the NGF teaming of Kono, Taniguchi, and Okada. - In another chapter in the KOWLOON/SEX-MEN feud, we will see the return of GOD BLESS!, as the veteran leader of the former stable, Minoru returns! Minoru will team with his stablemate Munenori Sawa to battle Hayato and Hyugaji! - Following his explosive return to GATTACA, attacking Kenta Kobashi with a chair, Chris Prospect makes his official return to the GATTACA ring, battling Jun Akiyama! - KAI and Hiroshi Yamato will unite with fellow All Japan star BUSHI, as the three take on Unified Junior Champion Ryuji Hijikata, Atsushi Aoki, and Akihiko Ito!

Looking for vengeance, Sawa and his SEX-MEN partner Hikaru Sato have recruited the man Sawa was NWA International Lightweight Tag Team Champions with for two years, ZERO1 International Jr. Heavyweight Champion, Ikuto Hidaka!
