New Champion Kojima Speaks; Nominates Kono for First Defense!
The new Heavyweight Champion Satoshi Kojima shocked everyone when he hit Daisuke Sekimoto with a Lariat before pinning him to stop Sekimoto’s record shattering reign in it’s tracks.
“I want to thank everyone at GATTACA for giving me this new chance,” Kojima said. “I will carry this Championship with honor, and try to bring even more attention to it than there already is.”
Kojima soon cut to the chase, nominating who he felt should be the first challenger for his new title.
“After the performance he showed me during the Biometric Cup and the anniversary shows, I think Masayuki Kono deserves a shot at the title. I beat him, but just barely. He nearly prevented me from becoming champion. I want to prove myself against him. I want to defeated him soundly now that I am champion, I want to prove that I am the best champion GATTACA will ever see, and I think going up against a great wrestler like Kono, and defeating him more handedly than I did before will prove just that.”
While no official announcement has been made yet confirming or denying Kojima’s request, expect an answer when full cards for the upcoming tour are announced.

GATTACA Returns With New Tour!; Kono Dubbed First Challenger
- Following a brief hiatus, GATTACA has announced their next tour, ending at EUGENICS 75 with Satoshi Kojima defending his Heavyweight Championship for the first time against the man Kojima nominated for the match, Masayuki Kono!
"I'm honored that Kojima considered me to be his first defense," Kono stated during the press conference today. "Last time we wrestled I came in short, but that will not happen again. I will wrestle and train harder than I have ever in my life in preparation for this. There will be no way Kojima can beat me again."
"I nominated Kono because he took me to the limit. I barely beat him. I believe he deserves a shot at this title because of what he showed me he could do," Kojima later said, "but I will not let that happen again. As I stated before I will truly defeat Kono this time, and I will defend my title for the first time against him. Kono will have to come out faster, stronger, and harder than he did before, because I know I will."
- The team of Justin Tyger and Joe Doering suffered their first lost as a tag team in GATTACA to the legendary duo BURNING, Kenta Kobashi and Jun Akiyama. Tyger and Doering look to get back on track with their winning ways, as the two team in some form for most of the tour.
"This doesn't not mean I am slipping," Doering said. "My undefeated streak was recently broke, and now me and Justin's undefeated streak has been broken, but don't take us as weak by any means. This just means we're more determined, and more focused that we've ever been."
- No challenger has come forward for the Unified Junior Heavyweight Champion Ryuji Hijikata as of yet, but several names have came up with no clear name confirmed.
"I want to defend this title as much as possible. I want to carry the belt with honor and dignity, and I want to defend it against anyone who feels worthy of deserving a shot, no matter who it is. I'll stand across from them during a title defense, and I will beat them, and defend this title again."
- Following their Time Limit Draw Three Way Match at One Year Later... Night 2, Hafiz Abdurehman, Fale Simitaitoko, and Chris Brookes all shook hands following the match, seemingly forming a bond. Now, Hafiz has officially announced the three are banding together to form a new faction, entitled "Prelude to DREAMS"
"Dreams still press against my mind even after all of these years after I debuted in Pro Wrestling GEN," Hafiz described. "Back then, they were civil rights and racially motivated. Now, that I have achieved what I thought were my dreams winning the GEN Heavyweight Championship, and took a break form wrestling, and I realized that what I preached about wasn't my dream, my dream was to just wrestle, and be good at it. I discovered after my return to GATTACA, that there were others here with just the same motives and dreams, like Fale and Brookes. Now, together, we will achieve our dreams. We will fight to the top of GATTACA, from the bottom to the top, and we will live our dreams, and become the best in this promotion."
- Following the press conference, full cards were announced for EUGENICS 71-74, with 75 being announced fully at a later date.

- In the opening match, we saw Hafiz Abdurehman’s new stable, Prelude To DREAMS unite, as he teamed with Fale Simitaitoko and Chris Brookes to battle the team of Takashi Okita, Rui Hyugaji, and Satoshi Kajiwara. DREAMS had a great first showing, as the trio went on to defeat their opponents, as Hafiz used his Dream Catcher Suplex on Kajiwara to end the match!
- Kensuke Office’s Kento Miyahara squared off with SEX-MEN’s Munenori Sawa, and showed an impressive performance against the more experienced Sawa, but slowly, Sawa gained control, before nearly knocking Miyahara out with a Baseball Punch, before hitting him with a Shining Wizard to pick up the victory!
- Fujita Jr. Hayato had a bit of a challenge ahead of him tonight, as he fought the veteran Kentaro Shiga. Hayato gained the control at first, keeping Shiga down, until Shiga stole the control away. Shiga kicked Hayato in the head, before quickly hitting a Pumphandle Backbreaker. Shiga pinned Hayato… only getting a two count, before he locked Hayato into the Shiga Sleeper! Shiga wrenched harder and harder, until Hayato climbed to his hands and knees, before rising to his feet! Shiga held on, pulling harder and harder, as Hayato ran back into the turnbuckle, but Shiga held on! Hayato charged the ropes, and flipped both him and Shiga over the ropes, crashing to the floor! The two laid out on the floor as the referee counted higher and higher. As he closed in on twenty, Hayato slid in the ring! Shiga laid there for seconds longer, before rolling into the ring at nineteen! Hayato quickly punted Shiga in the head, before picking him up, slapping and punching him, before hitting a huge head kick! Shiga feel to his knees, as Hayato charged him, hitting a crashing Helm, before Hayato pinned him… Getting a three count, to end the match!
- In an extremely stiff match up, SEX-MEN’s Hikaru Sato battled Kensuke Office’s Katsuhiko Nakajima. The two traded huge kicks, slaps, and punches the entire match, trading control backwards and forth. They both traded submission attempts, locking in various arm and leg holds. Sato locked in a Cross Armbreaker from seemingly nowhere, wrenching harder and harder, as Nakajima scratched and clawed for the rope. Getting nothing, Nakajima rolled towards Sato, raining down punches, nailing Sato right in the head, causing him to lose his grip, giving Nakajima the chance to roll away from Sato. Holding his arm, he stands up, as Sato climbs to his feet. The two trade kicks, until Sato throws a huge Jumping Head Kick… missing! Nakajima moves out of the way, and as Sato climbs to his feet. Nakajima charges Sato, hitting a Running Low Kick, which staggers Sato, before Nakajima quickly smacks him with a Death Roll! Nakajima quickly makes the pin… getting the three count! After the match, Nakajima celebrated as Sato climbed to his feet. The two faced off, before shaking hands!
- New Generation Force members Kazuchika Okada and Kenta Kakinuma battled with members of their arch rival stable, LAUGHTER7, in Tomohiro Ishii and Tomoaki Honma. Ishii and Honma put up a great fight, nearly pinning Kakinuma, but Okada, showing a newly lit fire in his recent matches, took control over Honma, hitting him with a German Suplex Hold to score the victory!
- Justin Tyger and Joe Doering looked to get back to their winning ways, as they teamed with Kenny Omega to face the LAUGHTER7 teaming of Katsuyori Shibata, Manabu Soya, and Kota Ibushi. Tyger and Shibata went to war from the moment the bell rang, as the two are still heated from their series of singles matches last year. Shibata got control of the match with his series of kicks, but Tyger soon gained control, hitting Shibata with a barrage of knees. Doering and Soya soon locked horns, wrestling to a stalemate, until Soya hit Doering with a huge elbow from nowhere, as charged him looking for a Lariat, but Doering ducked it, and swung around, hitting Soya in the back of the head with a Lariat of his own, before pinning Soya, getting a two count. Omega was tagged in the match, as Soya stumbled to his corner, tagging in Ibushi. The former tag championed exploded in the ring, exchanging huge elbows, until Ibushi got control, kicking Omega in the head, sending him down. Ibushi rebounded off the ropes, but before he could get to Omega, Omega climbed to his feet, and threw a sickening Hadouken, sending Ibushi crashing to the ground! Omega covered Ibushi… getting a two when Soya and Shibata ran into the ring and broke up the pin! Doering ran into the ring, taking out Shibata! The two fell out of the ring, as Omega tagged in Tyger, just as Soya dragged Ibushi to his corner, tagging himself in! Soya and Tyger met in the middle of the ring, trading elbows! Soya cracked Tyger with an elbow, sending him down to his knees! Soya quickly heaved Tyger up, attempting a Brainbuster, but Tyger slid out of it! He bounced off the ropes, and as Soya turned around, he jumped, hitting a stiff Jumping Knee Strike! Soya staggered, before Tyger grabbed him, pushing Soya’s head down, just as he threw a knee in the air, cracking Soya in the face! Soya went limp, as Tyger lifted him in the air, before hitting a Northern Lights Bomb to win the match, and finally get revenge from last year when Soya pinned Tyger!
- Atsushi Aoki and Akihiko Ito banded together to take on the team of Shinya Ishikawa and the Unified Junior Heavyweight Champion Ryuji Hijikata. Aoki and Hijikata’s never ending rivalry picked up right where it left off, as the two brawled for a good portion of the match. Ito, who has two pins over Hijikata, made his way into the match, looking to take down Hijikata, doing just that. He kept Hijikata down for a few moments, before Hijikata took control back, before tagging Ishikawa in. Ishikawa and Ito wrestled around, before Ishikawa took control of the match, hitting Ito with an Elbow Smash, before climbing the top rope, hitting a Diving Dropkick! Ishikawa quickly pinned Ito… getting the shocking three count! After the match, Hijikata and Ishikawa had their hands raised, before Ishikawa retrieved the Unified Junior Championship, looking down on it, before looking up at Hijikata, handing the belt to him. He pointed at the title, then back and himself, challenging Hijikata! Hijikata agreed, as the two shook hands!
- New Generation Force banded together, as Daisuke Sekimoto, Masayuki Kono, and Shuhei Taniguchi tamed to face the new Heavyweight Champion Satoshi Kojima, Naomichi Marufuji, and Chris Prospect. Sekimoto picked up the early control, but Marufuji soon showed his new skills as a heavyweight, taking Sekimoto down, controlling him before tagging out to Kojima. Kojima and Sekimoto brawled for a few minutes, before Sekimoto hit a huge Lariat, tagging out to Taniguchi! Taniguchi took Kojima down, keeping him down before Kojima stole control away, hitting a Rolling Elbow! Taniguchi stumbled back into his corner, where Kono tagged himself in! Kono and Kojima faced off for a tense seconds, before the locked up, with Kojima getting the control! Kojima kept Kono on the defensive, until Kono hit a knee out of nowhere! Kono capitalized, hitting several more knees before hitting a Jumping Knee Strike! Kojima staggered, as Kono lifted him up, hitting a Chokebomb! Kono went for a cover, only getting a two, before Kono climbed to the top rope, preparing a Diving Kneedrop, but Kojima rolled to his corner, tagging in Prospect! Prospect charged to the turnbuckles, climbing them to meet Kono, hitting him with several elbows! Prospect grabbed Kono, and set him up, throwing himself off the turnbuckle, taking Kono with him, hitting a Superplex! Prospect covered Kono… getting a two count! Prospect picked Kono up, hitting several shots, before he set Kono up for a Cradle Driver, but Kono busted out of it, and planted Prospect with a Chokebomb! Both men stood up at the same time, and traded elbows, before Kono got the advantage, hitting two knees, before he charged, and hit a Jumping Knee Strike! Really enjoy reading your writing, even if I have no idea who i'm reading about, haha (well apart from Kenny Omega, who is just the shiz, aha). I'm really glad we have a diary like yours on here that's so different in all aspects; layout, style, content. It's great stuff man, keep with it.
A suggestion, maybe a stupid one, but if you want more readers or replies, maybe doing some kind of talent exchange with a North American promotion could do that? Recognisable names are sure to get people more interested, more willing to keep up. I know it worked for you before when you brought in Kurt Angle...

Epic show deff makes it eaiser to follow with more American stars involved. Would love to see you keep this relationship up having joint shows every now and then. Could even to tallent swaps. SEX-MEN vs. MCMG sounded awesome. But then you followed that up with another tag? Daisuke/Joe awesome and a great write up hopefully thats setting up a return for Joe even after TNA goes. Angle winning seemed the right result, nice bookingon the tag match to make it a time limit. Good end to the show with GATTACA standing tall, the end comment hints at more cross promotion I would love that. Good luck.

-In a match of two big, muscle bound men, Joe Doering battled Crimson. Both men looked similarly, wrestled similarly, and were similarly built, as they clashed in the middle of the ring. The two traded huge shots, with neither men getting the advantage. Doering though, slowly gained control, before hitting a Revolution Bomb to win!
- The Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, shocked everyone, when the two put an end to Atsushi Aoki and Akihiko Ito’s undefeated streak as a team, when Sabin hit Aoki with a Cradle Shock to score the upset!
- Samoa Joe was out for a win tonight, following being knocked out last night. He battled the muscle-bound Manabu Soya in a hard-hitting match, and Joe quickly out the win he was looking for, as he hit Soya with a Muscle Buster to end the match!
- Similarly to Joe, former Heavyweight Champion Daisuke Sekimoto looked to redeem himself from also being knocked out last night, against the man the claims to be the “DNA of TNA”, Matt Morgan. Morgan used his height advantage over Sekimoto to keep him controlled for a few moments, but Sekimoto quickly used his strength to take control of the match, heaving Morgan up with a spectacular German Suplex Hold to win!
- Chris Prospect received his for championship match since he graduated to the heavyweight division, against the Television Champion, Desmond Wolfe. Prospect kept Wolfe on the offensive, but Wolfe soon gained the control of the match, hitting Prospect with a Lariat, but only getting a two! Wolfe heaved Prospect on top of the turnbuckle, hitting a Tower of London to retain for the fifth time!
- Rob Van Dam battled Katsuyori Shibata in an exciting, stiff match full of more kicks than anyone could have imagined. Shibata pulled off the surprising win, when RVD jumped off the top rope, looking for a Frog Splash, but Shibata jumped up, kicking RVD in the head, sending him crashing to the ground! The referee ran over to RVD, checking on him, before calling off the match! Shibata stood over RVD, standing victorious!
- Kurt Angle continued his Trial Series tonight against a fellow amateur wrestler, Shuhei Taniguchi. The two put on an excellence wrestling exhibition, showing off amateur wrestling moves and holds. Soon, the two stood, trading shots. Soon, Taniguchi took control of the match, hitting a huge German Suplex on Angle, before hitting a Fisherman Suplex… for a two count! Angle quickly rebounded, hitting an Angle Slam, getting a two! Angle responded, hitting three German Suplexes, before locking in an Ankle Lock! Taniguchi looked for every way out, but when he came up with nothing, he was forced to tap! After the match, Angle and Taniguchi shook hands, showing their respect for each other.
- Kazuchika Okada, after an notable performance against Styles and Sting yesterday, challenged TNA Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles for his belt today. After nearly defeating Styles with the Octopus Stretch yesterday, Okada looked to repeat the success of the move, attempting to lock Styles in the move several times with no luck. However, near the end of the match, Okada finally locked in the move! Styles was stuck, with nowhere to go, exactly like the tag match! However, this time, there was no time limit to save him! Okada wrenched the move harder and harder, while Styles struggled to get to the ropes. Finally, Styles managed to make it! Tyger picked Sting up, trying for a Body Solebutt, but Sting, dodged it, pushing Tyger to the ground, locking in a Scorpion Deathlock! Tyger scratched for the ropes, as Sting wrenched the hold tighter, before Tyger got the rope break! Sting took full control of the match after this, hitting several Stinger Splashes, before trying for the Scorpion Deathdrop, but Tyger got out of it, grabbing Sting, and hitting a Northern Lights Bomb… for a two count! Tyger picked Sting up, attempting another, but Sting gout out of it, quickly hitting a Scorpion Deathdrop, pinning Tyger.. for the two! Sting stood up, grabbing Tyger’s legs, and wrapping him in the Scorpion Deathlock. Sting wrenched the move harder and harder, and Tyger, with nowhere to go, tapped out! After the match, Sting and Tyger, after a moment of staring each other down, shook hands!

That's such an epic photo of Sting. The first two matches seem a bit thrown together just from all the tallent you didn't use. All the titles have to be defended right, there can't be a GATTACA TNA Champion, right? Would be an epic twist though. Guns went over huge over the two shows. Good to see both Joe and Sekimoto win thier matches, like I said before I'd love to see Joe return without TNA for a rematch. Meh at the ref stoppage in the RVD match but it still keeps him strong. Epic Angle match, good to see him pulling out a nice long match. Styles just had to retain the belt. Great way to end of the show, Sting had to go over. I loved these two last shows, since it had guys that I knew about. I'd deff think about doing some more down the line, maybe even a few shows with ROH? Good luck.
