GATTACA: PRO Signs New Gaijin, Mercennario; Debuts On EUGENICS 96
GATTACA: PRO announced today that they have signed another gaijin to the roster, in the form of the largely unknown Mercennario.
Chris Danielson is his name, a 21 year old from Santa Maria, California. He stands 6'2", 230 pounds, and made his wrestling debut in 2009.
"I always wanted to be a wrestler when I was a kid. Noone thought I would be able to, but I did anyway, wrestling independents in the US," Mercennario said. "I want to make an impact in GATTACA, to not only get better, and get more experience, but to get more fan exposure, and I know GATTACA can do all of that for me."
Mercennario describes himself as a technical wrestler, stating his main wrestling inspirations as Kurt Angle, Bret Hart, and GATTACA's own, Justin Tyger.
"I was a huge fan of Tyger when I was younger. He's just a great wrestler, and showed you can be American and make it big in Japan, which is something I hope to do here in GATTACA," Mercennario added.
"When he was younger? Jezz, that makes me feel old," Tyger joked when asked about Mercennario. "I've heard of Merc for some spots he did in the States, and I liked him, I think he has a lot of potential. I know coming to Japan is a big goal of his, and I want to give him the opportunity to come over and make a name for himself in GATTACA."
When asked about his ring name, Mercennario, he explained reasons behind the name:
"In Junior High, I was apart of the football team, and one day we were running sprints, and the coach yelled 'RUN MERCENNARIO!' I have no clue why he called me that, but ever since then, it's been what everyone calls me."
Mercennario will make his GATTACA debut on EUGENICS 96. He debut match will be against a fellow gaijin, former GEN Heavyweight Champion, Hafiz Abdurehman.

Must be a really tough challenge to face Hafiz on his first match. Looking forward to see what he's able to accomplish.

Down to the final two men, with the next pinfall ending the match, Ishii and Honma fended off Shibata and Kono for as long as they could, before Honma knocked Shibata to the outside. -Sad to see Prelude to DREAMS! get a loss, good opener, though -Even with a loss, kicking out of the finisher makes Mercennario look strong. Hopefully that handshake leads to something -Okita/Sasaki should be a good match -Surpised to see Tyger pull up the win, hopefully Magnus steps up and this loss makes him stronger

Tyger Announces Plans For A Stable!
- During an interview following his match at EUGENICS 96, Justin Tyger announced that he plans to form his own stable! Tyger said he hasn't approached anyone about joining yet, but he thinks he can gather a talented team.
"I hope I can gather some great guys, and we can prove ourselves and a formidable stable in GATTACA. I haven't talked to anyone about it, but it's been in my mind for awhile," Tyger said.
- After saying this, Brutus Magnus, Tyger's opponent minutes before, walked up to him, and the two shook hands. Magnus looked Tyger in the eye, asking to be the first man to join Tyger's new stable, which Tyger immediately agreed to.
"I think Magnus is a great talent," Tyger said later. "I think he's a great first member to this team I want to build."
- When asked about a name for the stable, Tyger pondered the thought:
"I think it'll be BURN, I think that has a nice little ring to it."

Tyger Extends Invitation To Abdurehman To Join BURN!
Following EUGENICS 97, Justin Tyger and Brutus Magnus had a successful first outing as the stable, BURN. Following this, Tyger approached Hafiz Abdurehman, who also won his match earlier in the night, extending an invitation for Hafiz to join BURN. Hafiz told Tyger he would think about it, before the two parted ways.
Tyger and Abdurehman aren't strangers to teaming each other, as the two were a dominate tag team in Pro Wrestling GEN. They chased the Tag Team Titles several times, but failed to win the belts before GEN folded.
Hafiz has a lot to think about, as he is the leader of his own stable now, Prelude To DREAMS!. Would Hafiz leave his stable in order to be a member of BURN, with his old teammate, or will he stick with his current stable, made up of Fale Simitaitoko and Chris Brookes?
"Prelude To DREAMS! is about advancing and becoming bigger and better names in wrestling," Hafiz later said. "I think joining BURN would be that next step for me to because that bigger name, teaming with a veteran such as Tyger, who I've I already had an extremely successful tag team run with.
I've got a lot of thinking to do, if I want to sat with DREAMS! or join BURN, but we'll see."

Updated EUGENICS 100 Card!
Released today was an updated card for the upcoming, monumental show, EUGENICS 100, which, of course, marks the 100th EUGENICS episode since GATTACA: PRO began in May of 2010. The show will be held at the Osaka Namihaya Dome, the largest venue GATTACA has ran to date. A huge card is planned, as six matches have already been announced for the show!
vs. - In their first defense of the Openweight Tag Team Championships, the Kensuke Office pairing of Katsuhiko Nakajima and Kento Miyahara square off against the Kowloon teaming of former Unified Junior Heavyweight Champion Fujita Jr. Hayato and Rui Hyugaji. Hayato and Hyugaji say they will end Kensuke Office's reign before it even begins, but Nakajima and Miyahara they have only began, and will further establish themselves as a dominate tag team!
vs. - Former Kensuke Office trainee Takashi Okita surprised everyone when he challenged his former mentor, Kensuke Office leader, Kensuke Sasaki. Okita claimed that he improved more as a wrestler after he left Kensuke Office, than he learned while he was in it. Sasaki later accepted the challenge, saying he was surprised by it. "I was proud when Okita broke away," Sasaki said. "I hoped it would be the stepping stone to becoming more. Him challenging me has showed me that. I am proud of him." Will Okita score the upset of the year and jump-start his career, or will Sasaki slow down his former student?
vs. - Hikaru Sato and Koji Kanemoto have been heated for months now, dating back to the SEX-MEN vs. Kanemoto/Taguchi matches during the summer. After a stiff exchange at EUGENICS 96, Sato challenged Kanemoto to a singles match, which Kanemoto soon accepted. Will the veteran Kanemoto defeat another younger Junior, or will Sato be the man to take Kanemoto down?
vs. - With his retirement looming next month, and a recent pinfall victory over the champion, Munenori Sawa looks dethrone Unified Junior Heavyweight Champion Atsushi Aoki! "This could be my last chance," Sawa stated. "I need to take the opportunity and run with it, because I might not get the chance to again." Will Sawa end his career on a high note, winning the championship, or will Aoki end Sawa's dream, and reign on as champion?
vs. - Last year, Genichiro Tenryu came into GATTACA: PRO as Naomichi Marufuji's surprise for his future opponent, Daisuke Sekimoto. We saw the legend Tenryu hand Sekimoto his first loss in GATTACA, delaying his match by months. For more than a year, this loss has been on Sekimoto's mind. Upon Tenryu's return at EUGENICS 96, Sekimoto challenged him for the match, to which Tenryu laughed off. Sekimoto forced his hand, before Tenryu accepted the challenge with a smile on his face. Will Tenryu shut Sekimoto down once again, or will Sekimoto overcome his Achilles Heel?
vs. - Shuhei Taniguchi has rocketed to stardom, with pinfall victories over Naomichi Marufuji, Katsuyori Shibata, Masato Tanaka, Justin Tyger, and more. Taniguchi made his presence known, winning the Performance Quest '11 tournament, becoming the next challenger for the veteran Satoshi Kojima's Unified Heavyweight Championship. Kojima is undefeated in his near-year long tenure in GATTACA. Can Taniguchi end Kojima's streak of dominance and win his first championship, or will Kojima continue his stranglehold on GATTACA: PRO?

"This is a huge milestone for us at GATTACA: PROJECT. I want to make this the biggest and best card we have ever had," Tyger said. "We hare running the biggest venue we ever have, and I think we will make it the best show we have ever done.

GATTACA: PRO Signs Matthew Anderson; Will Debut After EUGENICS 100!
GATTACA announced shortly before EUGENICS 100 that they have signed Matthew Anderson, starting next tour.
Anderson stands 6'1", weighing 235 pounds. He is 24 years old, and has been wrestling for 5 years. He's from Savannah, Georgia, and says his southern upbringings have heavily influenced his wrestling style.
"I ain't gonna take any **** from noone," Anderson said. "I'm here to win matches and win championships, nothin' else."
His entrances theme, chosen by him, "Drive It Like You Stole It" by Matt Kennon, suits him to a T.
"If fits my situation right now. I'm finally gettin' that break I've been lookin' for, I've got my foot in that door. I ain't gonna waste this chance. It's my moment, I'm gonna go out and steal the show."
It will be interesting to see what impact Anderson makes upon his debut!

- In the opening match, Prelude For DREAMS! members Hafiz Abdurehman, Fale Simitaitoko, and Chris Brookes banded together to battle the team of Chris Prospect, Satoshi Kajiwara, and Tyler Volz. The two teams wrestled a fairly basic match, until Hafiz got control over Prospect, hitting a Dream Catcher to win the match! After, Hafiz gathered his teammate, getting a microphone, before announcing he was leaving Prelude To DREAMS! to join BURN! This news angered Fale, who got in Hafiz’s face, screaming at him, until he threw a punch! The two traded punches, as Brookes tried and failed to break it up. Finally, BURN leader Justin Tyger charged the ring, cutting in the middle, nearly getting punched by Fale, who soon left the ring, as Tyger and Hafiz shook hands.
- Tomohiro Ishii and Tomoaki Honma teamed with Kenta Kakinuma to take on the gaijin team of Joe Doering, Brutus Magnus, and Mercennario. Doering and Magnus showed their muscle against the other team, and Merc showed how sound technical skills, but Ishii’s murderous Lariat was the breaker in the match, when he cracked Merc, sending a loud smack throughout the arena, before pinning Merc to win the match!
- LAUGHTER7 member Manabu Soya teamed with Ryuji Hijikata to take on Akihiko Ito and NGF member Shinya Ishikawa. Ito and Ishikawa used their speed to take control of the match for a brief time, but Hijikata’s kicks and Soya’s strength proved to much for them, as Soya hit a Brainbuster on Ishikawa to pick up the victory!
- In a match of huge consequences, former tag team partners, now bitter enemies, Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega met in an End Of Discord IX showdown, where the loser had to leave GATTACA forever! The two exploded in the ring, trying to end the match as quickly as they could. When neither man could end the match, the two attempted to inflict as much pain as possible, throwing the stiffest punches and kicks they could manage. Omega got control of the match, putting Ibushi on his shoulders, hitting a Croyt’s Wrath! The crowd gasped, as Omega pinned Ibushi…. Getting a two count! Ibushi countered Omega, hitting a Golden Star Bomb, before he climbed to the top rope, hitting a Phoenix Splash, covering Omega to end the match, banning Omega from GATTACA!
- In their first defense of the Openweight Tag Team Championships, the Kensuke Office pairing of Katsuhiko Nakajima and Kento Miyahara battled the Kowloon team of Fujita Jr. Hayato and Rui Hyugaji. Nakajima and Hayato went to war, trading kicks and punches, before the two stalled, tagging in Miyahara and Hyugaji. Miyahara took a big advantage over Hyugaji, but couldn’t finish him off. Hayato got back into the ring, taking Miyahara down, controlling him with kicks and submissions. Miyahara caught a second wind, hitting Hayato with everything he had, before hitting a Northern Lights Suplex… to score the victory, and defend tile belts! After the match, Hayato showed his respect, shaking Nakajima and Miyahara’s hands.
- Takashi Okita surprised everyone when he challenged his former teacher, Kensuke Sasaki to a match, but Kensuke accepted, saying he was proud of Okita for moving the brave move. The two met in the middle of the ring, locking up. Okita gained a quick advantage of Kensuke, but that was the end of his hopes, as Kensuke soon took advantage away, keeping it for the rest of the match, before hitting a Northern Lights Bomb to end it. After the match, Kensuke helped Okita up, shaking his hand.
- In a first ever singles match encounter, Hikaru Sato did battle with New Japan’s veteran, Koji Kanemoto. The two exploded, trading elbows and kicks as fast as they could. Kanemoto got the early advantage, taking Sato down, before the two traded various submissions. Sato got the better of the exchange, but was unable to make Kanemoto tap out. The two stood back up, trading more elbows before Sato grabbed Kanemoto, hitting a Backdrop Suplex! Sato covered Kanemoto, but Kanemoto quickly slid out of it, grabbing Sato’s leg, locking in an Ankle Hold! Sato clawed his way to the ropes, before Kanemoto slid him to the middle of the ring, locking in a Cross Ankle Hold! Kanemoto wrenched it tighter and tighter, as Sato showed signs of tapping out…. But he didn’t, as he caught a second wind, busting out of the hold, stomping Kanemoto’s ankle before he could stand up. As soon as he did, Sato grabbed him, hitting another Backdrop Suplex, before locking in a Heel Hook! Sato twisted tighter, as Kanemoto reached for the ropes, finding nothing! Kanemoto clawed for a few more seconds, before tapping out! Sato jumped up in victory, celebrating his win, as Kanemoto limped to his feet, walking over to him, shaking his hand!
- Jun Akiyama and Taiyo Kea made their return to GATTACA, teaming with a man they have both held tag team gold with, Justin Tyger. The trio battled the LAUGHTER7 teaming of Katsuyori Shibata, Masayuki Kono, and Kazuchika Okada. The three, angry and annoyed at the recent antics of Ishii and Honma, released their frustrations tonight, as Shibata kicked Tyger with all of his might for the opening part of the match. Kono and Akiyama met in the ring soon after. The two are no strangers to each other, as Kono defeated Akiyama last year during the Performance Quest ‘10. The two traded huge knees, before they went to a stand off. Kea and Okada squared off, as Okada attempted to gain the advantage, but Kea quickly took control, getting the best of a kick exchange, but was unable to put Okada away. Shibata and Tyger got back in the ring again, as Tyger controlled Shibata for a brief period of time, before Shibata cracked him with a huge head kick! Tyger stumbled to his knees, as Shibata kicked him in the head again! Tyger fell over, raising up just in time for Shibata to crack him with a PK! Shibata covered Tyger, winning the match!
- In one of his final matches before he looming retirement, Munenori Sawa battled Atsushi Aoki for the Unified Junior Heavyweight Championship. The two immediately broke out in a war of kicks and punches, knocking each other loopy several times. Sawa got the advantage, as the grow went wild, praying for his emotional win. He hit Aoki with several punches, before rearing back hitting him with a Baseball Punch! Aoki fell to the mat, as Sawa covered him… for the two count! Aoki stumbled to his knees, as Sawa charged, attempting a Shining Wizard, but missed! Aoki spun away from Sawa, meeting him on his feet, scooping him up to hit an Assault Point! Aoki covered… getting a one count! Sawa jumped to his feet, hitting a Shining Wizard before Aoki could stand! Sawa covered him, getting another two count! The two stumbled to their feet, trading punches, as Aoki cracked Sawa, sending him staggering, before grabbing him, hitting another Assault Point, covering Sawa to win the match, and defend his title! After the match, Aoki helped Sawa to his feet, who was breaking down, crying at his failed attempt to win the title in his final chance. The two shook hands, as Aoki left the ring, leaving Sawa to take in the cheers.
- In a rematch that has been anticipated for over a year, Daisuke Sekimoto squared off with the man that handed him his first GATTACA loss, the legendary Genichiro Tenryu. The two clashed in the middle of the ring, locking up in a test of strength, as both went back and forth with the advantage, before Tenryu kneed Sekimoto in the stomach, gaining control of the match. Tenryu kept Sekimoto down for a majority of the match, looking as if he would repeat his win, but couldn’t finish Sekimoto off this time. After a few more moments, Sekimoto began making a huge comeback, fending Tenryu off, before he slowly began to break him down, hitting Tenryu with several Lariats, before hitting two German Suplexes, before hitting an impressive German Suplex Hold…. To win the match! Sekimoto jumped up in victory, as the crowd erupted! Tenryu crawled to his feet, staring at Sekimoto in the eyes, before extending his hand, showing his respect, as the two shook hands!
- Performance Quest ‘11 winner Shuhei Taniguchi garnered a huge amount of support going into the biggest match of his life, against the undefeated Unified Heavyweight Champion, the veteran Satoshi Kojima. The two met in the middle of the ring, as the two traded control of the match back and forth, with no clear winner. Slowly, Kojima began to pick apart Taniguchi, using his seasoned skill to take down the younger Taniguchi. The crowd slipped into silence, as Kojima controlled Taniguchi, hitting him with a Koji Cutter, before taking off his elbow pad. Kojima charged Taniguchi, hitting a huge Lariat! Kojima covered Taniguchi… getting a two count, causing the crowd to explode! Kojima’s face fell to shock, as Taniguchi rose to his feet, as a fire sparked inside of him! Taniguchi attacked Kojima, hitting him with all he had, as Kojima could do nothing but cover up and block as much as he could. Taniguchi smacked Kojima with several elbows, before slipping behind him, hitting two German Suplexes! Taniguchi picked Kojima up, raising him in the air, hitting a Fisherman Suplex, covering Kojima… for a two count! The crowd went crazy, as Taniguchi grabbed Kojima again, hitting another Fisherman Suplex… for the three count! The crowd broke, going insane, as Taniguchi leapt to his feet, letting out a roar of victory! Streamers flew into the ring, as Taniguchi was handed his new Unified Heavyweight Championship! Kojima rose to his feet, walking over to Taniguchi, looking down at his former championship. Kojima extended his hand, which Taniguchi quickly accepted! Kojima raised Taniguchi’s arm in victory, before rolling out of the ring, as Taniguchi stood with his championship, basking in the glow of the crowd screaming for him!

Kojima/Prospect Leaving For New Japan!; Omega Returning To DDT After Loss
- Soon after his title loss to Taniguchi, Satoshi Kojima announced that he will be leaving GATTACA: PRO and returning to his native New Japan Pro Wrestling. In even more surprising news, he announced he will be taking his protege, Chris Prospect, with him to NJPW.
"I think it's time to go back home," Kojima said. "I hope no one in GATTACA has any hard feelings about this. I just think it's time to go back to New Japan full time now."
"I am very excited for this chance," Prospect later said. "New Japan is one of the bigger promotions in Japan, and I have a huge learning opportunity here to learn from a lot of the best in Japan today. I hope I can come back to GATTACA in awhile, better and bigger than ever."
- Kenny Omega, who lost a Loser Leaves GATTACA match during EUGENICS 100, will return to his native DDT.
"I'm sad to leave GATTACA," Omega stated. "But I'm also happy to be going back to DDT full time. I made my name there, and there's a lot of good guys there. Maybe the opportunity will arise someday for me to return to GATTACA, I hope so."

EUGENICS 101 Card Announced!
Announced earlier today, was the full card for EUGENICS 101, which will be GATTACA's first show since Satoshi Kojima, Chris Prospect, and Kenny Omega's departures, and the first since Shuhei Taniguchi's first Unified Heavyweight Championship win:
vs. - The new Unified Heavyweight Champion Shuhei Taniguchi will team with NGF teammate Daisuke Sekimoto, and the Unified Junior Heavyweight Champion Atsushi Aoki to battle the LAUGHTER7 trio of Masayuki Kono, Manabu Soya, and Kota Ibushi. Taniguchi has a lot to prove in his first night as champion. Will he show his worth, or will he fall flat in his first showing?
vs. - For weeks, Tomohiro Ishii and Tomoaki Honma have terrorized their former stable leader Katsuyori Shibata, and his gang LAUGHTER7. Tonight, Shibata will team with Kazuchika Okada to take on the two, but unlike the other matches, this match will be a No Count Out match, meaning Ishii and Honma can't pull their antics this time! Will Shibata and Okada finally release their anger on the two, or will Ishii and Honma pull out the upset?
vs. - Rumors have been going around that Munenori Sawa and Hikaru Sato are looking for an Openweight Tag Team Championship shot, and they can put their names in the hat tonight, when they team with Ryuji Hijikata to take on the champions Katsuhiko Nakajima and Kento Miyahara, teaming with their Kensuke Office stablemate, Satoshi Kajiwara. Can the SEX-MEN earn a shot at the title, or will Kensuke Office shut them down as Sawa's retirement nears?
vs. - In his GATTACA debut, Matthew Anderson will do battle with veteran gaijin Justin Tyger. Anderson has a huge opportunity to make a huge name for himself early on in his career, and had some harsh words for Tyger when asked about the match, "Tyger don't deserve to be held so highly in wrestling," Anderson said. "I am so much better than him in the ring, and I'm gonna prove it when I open a cold, American Yoo-hoo Blast on his Canadian ass." Tyger laughed off the comment, saying we'll see what happens when the match comes.
vs. - Mercennario advances up the card in his second tour, battling fellow gaijin Joe Doering in a singles match. Mercennario has a chance to jump start his career if he can defeat Doering, but it won't come easily, as Doering has proved himself as one of the most dominate gaijins in GATTACA, only losing a handful of matches this year.
vs. - In his first match since leaving his stable for BURN, Hafiz Abdurehman will team with new stablemate Brutus Magnus, squaring off against Hafiz's former Prelude To DREAMS! teammates, Fale Simitaitoko and Chris Brookes. Can Hafiz prove his worth to BURN, defeating his former friends, or will DREAMS get the better of him and Magnus?

Hyugaji kept Ito down for a moment, before Ito made a come back, hitting Hyugaji with several moves before tagging in Ishikawa, who flew in like fire, hitting a Diving Dropkick on Hyugaji, but was unable to end the match. Ishikawa kept Hyugaji down, but Hyugaji broke away, tagging in Hayato. Hayato and Ishikawa traded stiff punches, before Hayato caught Ishikawa with a hard kick, turning the match in his favor. Hayato kept Ishikawa down, before hitting a Helm, covering him for the win!
- In his debut match, Matthew Anderson strutted to the ring, drinking a bottle of Yoo-Hoo, and wearing a Carl Edwards T-Shirt. His opponent, Justin Tyger, answered this by wearing a Brad Keselowski shirt to the ring, as the two stared off, their rival driver t-shirts close. The match began, as the two locked up, with Tyger getting the quick advantage. Tyger kept Anderson reeling for the time being, before Anderson stole control, punching Tyger in the nose, before tackling him down. Anderson attempted to end the match a number of times, but failed to do so. Slowly, Tyger began to make a comeback, fending off Anderson’s attacks, before hitting moves of his own. Tyger stumbled back, as Fale jumped off the apron, running off. As Tyger shook off the cobwebs, stumbling back, Anderson caught him, hitting a huge Yoo-Hoo Blast, his Sit-Out Spinebuster, pinning Tyger for the win! Anderson, Fale, and Brookes met in the middle of the ring, celebrating Anderson’s win. Anderson grabbed a new Yoo-Hoo Bottle, taking a sip of it, before walking over to Tyger, dumping it all over his face. Hafiz Abdurehman and Brutus Magnus charged the ring, as the trio ran off.
- In a huge junior six man, SEX-MEN partners Munenori Sawa and Hikaru Sato teamed with Ryuji Hijikata to battle the Kensuke Office trio of the Openweight Tag Team Champions Katsuhiko Nakajima and Kento Miyahara, and Satoshi Kajiwara.
