Alright, damn it. Here are my picks.

1. Heavyweight bout: Jon Madsen vs. Karlos Vemola
2. Welterweight bout: Daniel Roberts vs. Forrest Petz
3. Middleweight bout: Gerald Harris vs. Dave Branch
4. Middleweight bout: Kendall Grove vs. Goran Reljic
5. Light Heavyweight bout: Seth Petruzelli vs. Ricardo Romero
6. Heavyweight bout: Brendan Schaub vs. Chris Tuchscherer
7. Lightweight bout: George Sotiropoulos vs. Kurt Pellegrino
8. Light Heavyweight bout: Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Stephan Bonnar
9. Welterweight bout: Chris Lytle vs. Matt Brown
10. Middleweight bout: Chris Leben vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama
11. Heavyweight Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs Shane Carwin
I will admit, I have a very strong bias for Pellegrino after training with him for so long. He has his hands full though.
Lytle/Brown should be fight of the night. I expect a big KO from Lytle.
Leben vs. Akiyama is a very good fight. I think Akiyama will edge him out in a decision though. He's way more well-rounded than Leben.
I expect Lesnar to take Carwin down in the first round, beat up on him for a bit, then in the 2nd round, Carwin will catch him and knock him out.

Weigh-ins tonight @ 7pm EST on Spike. Nice. I will be watching for sure. *Edit* Well, I did watch the weigh-ins on Spike and it's good to see that everyone made weight. Man, I couldn't believe how big Brock looked. He looked ripped and ready. He weighed in at a solid 265 and so did Carwin. But, Brock looked quite a bit bigger than Carwin. I wish it was on tonight because I am psyched!! I can not wait until tomorrow night. It should be awesome. |

I am  ing pissed off that my brother just had to pick July 3 to be his wedding date. Hopefully I can try and leave the party a little earlier and come back home or go to Buffalo Wild Wings. The weigh ins had me psyched. |

On a completely random note, I met Matt Brown last Friday at a fight show and he seemed really arrogant. Great fighter, but a complete tool. ANYWAYS, Brock is gonna dominate tomorrow! Either way, great to see Stephan Bonnar back on the card.

I really want Lesnar to lose, bt still say Lesnar via ground and pound stoppage in the first round. I see Carwin going for a big punch, missing, then having Brock shoot for the takedown and get it, and destroy him

Once Lesnar put Carwin into the ground it's going to be over. The key for Carwin to beat Lesnar is the stand up game, get lucky to hit that unanticipated knockout punch.

Well, those salaries don't include the other bonuses that fighters get, so I don't think it's realistic to think Carwin will ONLY make $40,000.

Certainly not IF he gets a KO or submission or if it's fight of the night. He'll get more than $40,000 for sure then. Hey, I'm still going with Lesnar in this one and I said IF Carwin gets a KO or submission and that's a big IF, in my opinion. We'll have to wait and see how it plays out and I for one, can not wait!! Should be a tremendous night of fights. |

really pumped to see this fight, it's been on my mind all day lol, can't wait to see it ! also, i'm impressed to see how good and big brock still looks wow...after going through his health problems, and knowing first hand how quickly you lose muscle tone when you can't work out for a even a few weeks, lot of respect for how he does it , that is a statement to his discipline for sure. when i get sick and am unable to workout for a week or 2, i quickly feel flabby and weak and it's a b*tch to start lifting again, you really lose momentum...fast. Go brock !  |

Lesnar vs. Carwin is hard to pick. I kind of want to see Lesnar win just for the sheer morbid entertainment of the Carwin bandwagon/Lesnar haters crying about it online for a month afterward.
I have nothing against Carwin, or Lesnar for that matter. But it gets really annoying to see people pile onto a guy's bandwagon like they are with Shane, and equally so for the least rational of the Brock haters.

I've been wrong in picking the winners to the past couple of main event fights. I picked Rampage over Rashad and Liddel over Franklin.
I hope I'm right this time in picking Lesnar, because I really do think he is better than Carwin.
