It's a little shakey. The red needs another coat, asdoes the gold. I'd try to find the RA 22? head of Angle. Thanks! From someone how has probably never did a custom in their life. Your comments will be taken for granted. I always show my first scan then I eventually improve them. All you do is leave a bunch of bunghole sarcastic feedback. So if I were you I would keep my smart ass comments to my self.  Woah there. First off, your customs are good. There are some areas in which you could improve, such as laying down a few more coats and straightness of lines, which Nick already addressed. There wasn't really anything in his post that was sarcastic or mean-spirited, so I'm not exactly sure why you're taking it as such? I thought he came off as rather constructive. Nick has done quite a few customs before as well -- do your research before you question someone's experience. Finally, if you can't take criticism, don't post here. Simple as that. |

looks like you beat me to it cioffdogg, i second your comments about taking criticizm. Also if you knew anything about this board, you'd know Nick Maniwa has judged multiple competitions and is a seasoned customizer himself. He also garners a good measure of respect here, so watch your tone.

I agree with you Titantrap. Everything Nick said wasn't meant to be taken as a put-down or a slam or or a burn or whatever the kids call it nowadays. I firmly believe that with everything requiring skill, we are on a near-endless spectrum at all times. There's no point in which we can say that we've reached the pinnacle of mastery, in fact I would even question the existence of such a thing. There's always room to improve and thus always room for constructive criticism. So whatever it is -- skintone, sculpting, lines, smoothness of paint, there's always room to get better.

Congrats to you for making me NOT CARE about anything you do in the future. I was actually a fan of your figures. I was trying to help you get better. Don't be a douche. You come in and ignore the rules by posting four topics on the main page, which bumps other people off, then you are a cockhole to one of the few guys that is will to help. You would be better served to listen to a critique than you will be listening to the "those customs are sick! 10/10".
Nick is one of the few that still gives honest asessments of a custom. I quit doing so long ago because of reactions just like yours. Do us all a favor and delete your account, come back as someone that isn't a dick and you'll have no problem gaining our respect.
This isn't some elitist comment, I'm sure a few people will take it as such, but it irritates me that customizers have been begging for reall critiques for a while now, and the first one this ahole gets, he flips out and insults the cat that gave it to him.

Every other post in here has been "omg amazing" or "great job". He's trying to give you detailed criticism on what you need to improve on. And after seeing that Nigel and sloppy painted Angle, you definitely need all the help and criticism you can get. He's not being sarcastic. He's not being an bunghole. He's being one of the only helpful people on this board. If you don't get criticism from anyone, how are you ever going to improve? If people keep telling you that your customs awesome, your going to keep doing the same sloppy poop you're doing now. If anyone truly wants to get better around here, they listen to Nick Maniwa. |

The white lines look a little wavy and you should add a little more red cuz it looks like i can still see a bit behind it. But other than that, it looks good.

Here's the thing.... You've been here since June 19th. This board has gone to hell in the past year. No one cares anymore. You've got the group of Heavyweights that are more than will in to help if you give them a chance. Then you you have the others, while they don't have as much "talent" they still know the bone basics to help. And that's because they've paid attention to what the "more experienced " customizers have to say. As I've explained to others on the board....This IS NOT ART. For the most part we customizers are taking work that's already been fabricated by "Real" artists working for toy companies. You can bitch and moan all day that you're the best customizer on the board but it make no difference at the end of the day or in your little plastic world of disbelief. If the figures make you happy.....That's great. If you decide to sell them....You're not gonna get rich. In fact, most of the time you're gonna make minimum wage by the time you add up the parts and time involved. Nick may not be the best customizer around, but he knows the basics and knows that he has enough skill to point a customizer in the right direction. Pretty paint and decals only get you so far......Then the burnout sets in. I'm done with the board because well, I OBVIOUSLY know nothing. I've tried to help, but that only goes so far. If anyone needs to get ahold of me, check the private board or use the e-mail that I've sent to a select few. Life's too short to bitch about "tiny plastic men". Namaste |

Okay time to reply to all my negative comments. First off I would like to give an apology to Nick. Sorry, but I had to really post what was on my mind. However I was wrong, I was mad at something else and took it out on you. 1000 sorry's for that dude. I appreciate your help. Sorry it had to be that way. Now, we have people jumping all over me left and right before even giving a squat of a chance to explain myself. I say "It's not that serious" This is a message board with thousands of random responses. lol that's why I didn't respond till now.
