From what I have heard Chuck Liddell is trying to talk Dana into one more fight for the UFC then retiring. The fight he wants is Tito Ortiz. That is why you have not heard Chuck talk about retirement at all. Dana is considering it, and is trying to see how long Tito will be out before he signs off on it.
What do you guys think?

At leased Chuck will go out with a win if he fights Tito.

Can you imagine if Tito landed a shot that put Chuck out? Chuck would NEVER be able to accept that Tito Ortiz was the one who ended his career. And neither would I. He looked better than ever against Rich but he can't take all the shots anymore. So for Chuck's health and career I want him to retire. The guy's a legend with nothing else to prove. We owe a lot to him for making the sport what it is today. But it's his time to step away from the Octagon.

Honestly if he does comeback and fight Tito, Tito might land the one lucky punch and KO Liddell. He can't take a hard punch anymore.

Considering that Chuck's last couple of fights have all ended with him on the ground in a very short time, and Tito's last fight saw him go to a decision with a very motivated Forrest Griffin, I still don't see Chuck winning. Even in their first 2 fights, Tito got shots in. And apparently, it only takes one, kind of good one, with Chuck.
Just hang it up man.

If this is true, it really does prove that as long as Chuck can walk, Dana will give him a fight. Personally, I'd love to see Tito KO Chuck. I hated the way that TUF 11 went down, and really thought that Chuck used his pull with Dana alot during the show.

I figured Chuck would want Tito one more time before retiring. I hope he realizes that if he were to lose to Tito and that was the last fight of his career then Tito will never shut up about it and every time Tito is anywhere he will bring up how he ended Chuck's career.

Honestly if he does comeback and fight Tito, Tito might land the one lucky punch and KO Liddell. He can't take a hard punch anymore. I completely agree. Anyone who says Chuck would definitely beat Tito at this point has clearly missed out on Chuck's last few fights. Chuck just can't take a solid shot anymore like you said and it is more than possible that Tito could drill him with one shot and drop him and finish him off. All it takes is ONE shot and you are cooked. Just ask Chuck. He knows that more than anyone at this point. I think Tito could have Chuck's number this time around.

I really would like to see Chuck just hang it up. However I'd like to see him and Tito square off after all that happened during the season on TUF.
I've never thought of Tito as much of a knock out puncher, but more of GNP lay n pray type of fighter. Although it only takes one punch, Chuck has that slight potential to knock Tito out. Chuck is hard to keep on the ground, and Tito would be forced to stay mainly stand up. I don't know if the odds would favor Chuck or Tito at that point, but I'd actually give Chuck the favor on this one.
Will it happen? Who knows?

I really think he should retire really, as much as I don't want to, it's for his good, for his legacy and career. He has lost 5 out of his last 6 fights, hopefully he gets a win if he still pursues another fight.

And if he does get the fight with Tito and does win, what will that honestly prove?? I mean, he's beat the guy twice already, what will a 3rd time prove?? In my opinion, it won't prove a damn thing other than he can't beat anyone else but Tito.
He should learn from this latest loss, to retire and stay retired.

^^^ I think Chuck just believes that he can beat Tito again..
and that if he DID beat Tito that Tito would kind of be forced to retire as well.
..at this point though I think Tito might be able to win a fight against Chuck.

I don't think a loss would "force" Tito to retire. He may be battling injuries, but I think he has a lot more fight left in him than Chuck does.

Just one more fight against The Ayatollah, then he's hanging up the boots gloves for good.

I think Tito has a lot of fight in him too but this whole fighting once a year thing isn't helping him at all. He is getting lost in the shuffle even more than he already was.
