Ahh, 1 year since I went camping then aswell, as my cousin got a text about it from TMZ or something and none of my family beleived it.

I couldn't believe it. I had heard that he was rushed to the hospital after suffering what was reported as cardiac arrest. My friend then txtd me as I was sitting in the mexican restaurant, eating dinner with my mom and a friend. I snatched my mom's phone to get online - I was still on a pre-paid at the time, and couldn't get online with my phone - and went to Yahoo!, TMZ, MSN....anywhere where I thought I could find the news, and it was there on MSN that I saw the reports that he had died. I will never forget the sinking feeling I got as I read the article...

Damn, its already a year? I remember just going through the channels and as soon as I went to see what was on the news, I just caught the report saying he could be dead. It was probably the longest I've watched the news in a long time as well.

When I found out I wasn't super depressed but it sure as hell caught me off guard. I wasn't always a huge MJ fan... but the dude did Thriller and that's good enough for me.

It doesn't feel like a year because the post-mortem fanaticism hasn't died off yet. The specials haven't died off. I saw Laytoya talking to a freaking monkey on TV a few days ago, balling her eyes out reminiscing with him about her brother. The madness will never end.

Classy. I always find it interesting how people HATE Mike Vick because he was involved in dog fighting... But when it comes to Michael Jackson molesting kids... Hey, he was a great entertainer! How famous, exactly, do you have to be -- to make it so having sex with children is okay? Great entertainer... But all evidence points to him being a creepy  ing kiddie diddler. |

I remember walking up my block and my friend Erik called me and said "Can you ing believe Michael Jackson died?!?!?" and I yelled "MICHAEL JACKSON DIED?!?!?!" so loudly that one of my neighbors ran out of her house and asked if it was true. I ran to my house, turned on the TV, and sure enough there was the news. Rest in Peace, Michael Jackson. Perhaps the greatest musician of all time. |

What evidence? The original kid came out after MJ's death and said he made it up. MJ was also never found guilty of the acts, despite whatever evidence they had.
Michael Vick was found guilty for his actions beyond a shadow of a doubt. MJ was found to be innocent beyond a shadow of a doubt.
As for the John Wayne Gacy comment, once again, one killed people and the other was accused of a crime he was found innocent of.
