Raw was awfulllll. And ive never said that about Raw before.
It just plain sucked and dragged on.
Cena was just not funny at all, the gm thing is stupid which also drags on as Cole takes for ever to just announce one small thing.
Then we have random interviews backstage that wasted time also.
A match with santino/kozlov which was okay but Kozlov is really bad now, hes no longer the Moscow Mualer, it was a joke.
then what next.... not much for a while... rob announces the mitb partcipants in a awful way which leads to edge appearing cutting a promo and rob not being seen again.
Then random nxt attack on legends, which is getting very stale now and just argh.
Then what was it? The divas match I think which was the best thing up to that point. Quite enjoyed the macth tbh.
Then the main event which was okay but a little meh at the end.
I expected qualifying matchs tbh, well... matches tbh.

Why was the mitb briefcase there?
They usually put the briefcase up there in the weeks leading to WM. Why wouldn't they for the weeks leading up to MITB PPV?

Why is the gm anonymous?
Bret Hart left relatively quickly. I am guessing WWE wasn't prepared for it and didn't have an on air replacement lined up. They are doing the Anonymous thing to A) bring a little mystery/interest to the role B) bide them time to find a good replacement.
Why is Michael Cole the official email guy?
He's a commentator. He's always out in front of the cameras, so they have him do it instead of making someone from backstage come out every time they need to make a GM announcement. Also...who else would it be? He's a logical choice.
How did the mitb guys get picked?
Not everything has qualifying. A few years back they didn't qualify for the EC or anything. They just listed the participants.
Why was maryse with Ted?
Storyline.
What's a 'megamatch'?
Very lame name for 8 top guys in the main event.
Why did Regal attack Santino?
To advance storyline. Why does anyone come to the ring and attack anyone? You have to start a program somehow.
Why did Santino wanna tag with Koslov?
They've been doing this storyline for a long time. I believe they are setting up for Santino's sitcom, which co-stars Kozlov.
Why did Koslov protect him?
Again. Advancing that same storyline. If you'd listened to the commentators, I believe Cole said something along the lines of "Kozlov wants to be the only one that beats up Santino." Not a quote, but that was the main idea.
Why am I watching this?
No one is forcing you.

Those answers all seem pretty weak, and that's not a slight on you, I think its a slight more on this nonsensical programming.

Those are just the actual answers to those questions. RAW is an ongoing entity that has had weekly episodes for 16+ years with a handful of writers that change faster than the talent roster. It's not going to make perfect sense all the time. Those answers suffice in my opinion. EDIT: And just out of curiosity, what seems so weak? |

Oh what a surprise, best buddies 4LK and Shooter are in a WWE thread claiming that WWE storylines/ booking are/ is nonsensical, within moments of each other.
If you don't know why Maryse is with Ted DiBiase, why the MITB briefcase is hanging above the ring in the weeks leading up to a MITB PPV, what is going on between Regal/ Kozlov/ Santino, and why there was a Steel Cage above the ring... you haven't been watching RAW, or you're just a moron. As for the anonymous GM, you don't need to know why there is one or who it is, that's the whole point... to bring suspense.
