nice collection i always liked that wcw tnt jeff jerrett. At one time I had the Nitro Active Jeff Jarrett as well. I could kick myself for getting rid of it now. Since I only like collecting sets of figs, I'd like to own Nitro Active because JJ's in the set. I found a MOC set on ebay awhile back and foolishly passed on it. I NEVER see them on ebay let alone a complete set.

Those you passed on may have been the ones I got. Two have some yellowing in the bubbles, but they rarely come up as a set. I wish I knew they made different packaging on some of the Toybiz figures. There are 5 like Awesome in the smaller packaging in mini-blisters.

Wish I hadn't of passed on them I ended up getting the Unleashed set when the only figure I liked was Shane Douglas Those are gone because I've since sold them and Nitro Active still eludes me. Thanks for posting these. I would be interested should you decide to part with them.

Figurecollector, there were more than 5 on the mini blisters. I worked at KB Toys when they came out, and there were anywhere from 8-12 different ones with card backings from the set they were originally released in. The ones I can think of off the top of my head are Hollywood Hogan, Sting, Booker T, Kanyon, Mike Awesome, Scott Steiner, and Goldberg. They came out at the very end of the line, right at the time when WWE purchased WCW.

I looked at my collection photos regarding the minis.
I have Awesome in Unleashed, Sting & Page in Smash N Slam, Steiner and Booker T in Ring Fighters and Kanyon and Hogan in Power Slam. I do not see a mini package Goldberg in the database. Are you cetain there was one or have any idea which series it may have belonged?
There are two Hogans shown, with and without a design on the shirt. I guess I need to look for the other.

My question is still - Why did they do it? It is not like they did not have packages the same size as the regular figures. Why pick these particular ones to put in large and small packaging when they were using the larger package anyway?

Good times.. Gooooo d times. I stand by Toy biz/marvel being the best company to ever produce wrestling figures. Sure there were some hits and misses, but overall, no other company provided the detail, accuracy, articulation of these figures.

Maybe I looked past it in my searches, but the database shows Hogan in a black shirt and a black shirt with a white design.

Very nice collection. The only ones I need are the Jeff Jarrett, Shane Douglas, and Vampiro. I could never find those in stores.
