Good show for Chicago, gaining two matches on LV. Awesome to see Jackal and Williams to pick up wins, really hoping for Jackal or even Devine to get on a Yamato like run and become a candidate for Rookie of the Year. Enjoyed Red Dragon's piece about his team as well as Demon's Corner. Did you forget to add my signing of Luke Collins? I don't see it added to my team and just want to make sure you got it.

Sounds like Yamato/Curtis had an amazing match. Hopefully it will be a candidate for MOTY, I could see those two styles meshing well together. Good to see LA won both of their matches. I totally forgot about Jack Richardson! I'm hoping he'll at least get a few matches in the bigs.

Lame to see Boston go 0-2 again. Really wish we'd start winning again. The roundup was good as usual. Keep up the good work.

...PRESENTS: NWL LIVE! Las Vegas, NV 09/29/10 - 6:30 PMAttendance: 6,548 Ladies and gentleman, we are just two mere days away from the second ever Best of the Best tournament and tonight is our final stop before we travel south of the border! Jimmy Pietrafesa here to cover the event and tonight, the Las Vegas Blitz look to grasp ahold of some major momentum going into this weekend! vs. Match #1; Devin Curtis [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Bret Thomas [Tri-State Evolution]- After 17:08 of action, in a tune-up match and a possible Best of the Best preview match, the young Bret Thomas returned to form tonight and scored the surprise victory over Curtis following the Hammer's Fall. These two displayed just why they are in the upcoming tournament and this was one of the better matches we've seen out of Thomas. Curtis has to get his game back in order and hopefully we could see a part two to this soon. - Following the match, Thomas helped Curtis to his feet and told him that even though he doesn't respect his teammate Evan Pagano or his captain, Red Dragon, he has a ton of respect for Devin and extended his hand for a shake. Curtis refused and told him that if he cannot respect someone as good as Red Dragon, then he is a f*cking idiot. Curtis left to boos from the crowd. vs. Match #2; X Jack [New York Crush] vs. Jordan Devine [Chicago Warriors]- After 15:11 of action, these two solid talent squared off and it was Jordan Devine who got Chicago a win here, after he put Jack down with the Moon Over Miami. This was more back and fourth than our first bout and this one has to hurt Jack, as he was close on many occasions. Devine showed exactly what he CAN do in the ring, but sometimes he cannot execute it properly. Jack has fallen back into a slide going into a short break for him and hopefully he can re-cooperate. vs. Match #3; Duan Sanchez Jr. [Boston Brawlers] vs. Daniel Sinn [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 12:24 of action, the veteran captain in Duan Sanchez Jr. brought the Blitz rookie down to earth after this bout and finished him off with the SGM. Sanchez, who seem discouraged about not being in the upcoming tournament, took all his frustrations out on Sinn, who hasn't been good at all lately. Sanchez seems to be finding a middleground and might be turning up the heat going into the second half. If Boston can get their captain going, then they might be able to make a serious run. - Intermission - - An official press release regarding the Best of the Best 2010 tournament will be released tomorrow morning. A highlight of what's to come this weekend will be laid out for all the fans! vs. Match #4; Chris Jackal [Chicago Warriors] vs. Kevin Hart [New York Crush]- After 17:54 of action, a surprising victory from the pissed off Chris Jackal opened up the second half of the show for us, as he put down the captain of New York down with a Shooting Star Press. Hart, who is Best of the Best bound, wasn't all that impressive and I think Jackal was looking to make a statement about how he should have been in the tournament. Jackal has just made his presence known now in the NWL and Chicago looks to be rolling going into the break. vs. Match #5; Cody Rejero [Boston Brawlers] vs. Kevin Shamrock [Tri-State Evolution]- After 13:45 of action, Rejero was in the same boat as Hart in the previous match, as he had a weak showing going into the tournament. Kevin Shamrock, on the other hand, picks up some great momentum going into the tournament and he finished Cody off with the Famine Driver. Shamrock is pulling off a much better year than last and he needs to if he wants to carry his team into the playoffs. Rejero needs to find some consistency or he will see himself in the minor leagues sooner rather than later! vs. Match #6; Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 24:13 of action, these two captains led us into the tournament with our final match tonight and it was Red Dragon who scored the ultimate victory following the Red Dragon Driver. After a few weak showings lately, Dragon find his groove back tonight and made the fans extremely pissed after he gave their team their second loss. Demon doesn't do himself any help going into the weekend and who knows how this result will play out over the next few days! - We come back to Las Vegas on the 27th of October and see our great fans south of the border, in Mexico, next for the start of the Best of the Best 2010 tournament! ¡ARRIBA!

Hoorah for Duan picking up the win! Sucks to see me lose again. Really hope the Brawlers don't minor me. Me vs Trace Demon eh? Maybe I'll pull off a surprise.

Really hope Ace and Jason do well in the tourney, at least one win for Ace and two for Jason. I'm rooting for one of those two to take the whole thing, but wouldn't be surprised at all if you went a different direction. Loving the momentum Chicago is picking up heading into the tourney, hoping they can keep it after the break. Glad to see Devine and Jackal go in and prove that they were worthy of being in the tourney, specifically Jackal who is perhaps our second best guy this year. Glad that LV lost both of their matches, would love to see that continue so Chicago can pass LV and maybe even make somewhat of a run at LA for the conference lead. Keep it up.

Sad to see Devin he was hot going in before this match, glad Duan won his match, Chicago are doing well I see them passing Vegas and meeting us in the conference final, Its a great list of guys lined up for BotB, favourite 3 matches of the first round are Hart/Jason, TJP/Dragon and Hammers/Devine as they all sound like great matches, I really don't have a clue who will win but I'm really looking forward to this, the guests are cool but a little unrealistic to have Alba in there but still cool, good luck and keep this up.

At least LA got one win. It's a shame that Curtis couldn't keep his hot streak going. The promo afterwards was awesome though. Hopefully Curtis can bounce back at BOTB.

NATIONAL WRESTLING LEAGUE PRESENTS: BEST OF THE BEST 2010; NIGHT #1 Mexico City, Mexico 10/01/09 - 8:00 PMAttendance: 8,500 (sell-out) A real nice, brand new set up stage type deal is presented to the crowd as they walk in. Hello everybody, I'm Jimmy Pietrafesa and tonight, I am as excited as each one of these 8500 fans here in Mexico! Once 8 o'clock hits, the lights go down and we are treated with a video package highlighting last year's Best of the Best tournament. After the package ends, Kid CuDi is introduced to the crowd and the rapper of the new age starts spitting some rhymes about wrestling. Eventually, he goes into Solo Dolo, which is off of his first LP, 'Man on the Moon: The End of Day'. After CuDi finishes up, the ever-so lovable, Jeff Gomez, CEO of the National Wrestling League, makes his presence known. He thanks all our fans for making the trip down here and all our Mexican fans for joining us for the first time tonight! He would like to wish everyone involved with the tournament good luck tonight, as they will all need it. Jeff then points out that we have two VERY special guests tonight in attendance. One is a movie star and one is a wrestling legend! Gomez introduces Dos Caras, a Mexican wrestling legend and Danny Trejo, an actor who stars in the movie Machete, that is in theaters now! Gomez has everyone give them a nice hand and tells the fans that its time for some action! vs. First Round Match - 20 Minute Time LimitMatch #1; (#8) Devin Curtis [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. (#9) Chris Hammers [New York Crush]- After 15:07 of action, two veterans got the action starting in front of the biggest NWL crowd of all-time and it was the St. Louis native, Devin Curtis, who took home a first round win. Curtis finished Hammers off with the 450 Splash and he made it look easy. Hammers wasn't going down for anything and these two had a pretty intense and heated battle to open up. Last time around, Hammers was a sleeper pick and this year, he bows out in the first round to Curtis. vs. First Round Match - 20 Minute Time LimitMatch #2; (#1) Ace Bennett [Chicago Warriors] vs. (#16) Kenny King [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 13:53 of action, the reigning Best of the Best winner takes the next step to repeating his feat for the second straight year, as Ace Bennett nailed the Syracuse Drop to King to get the first round win. This match wasn't as heated and evenly-matched as the first contest and it was a little bit more Ace oriented. King barely saw a steady amount of offense his way and tonight looked like more of the Bennett we saw last year around this time. Bennett is a fan favorite and the crowd was happy to see him get the win. vs. First Round Match - 20 Minute Time LimitMatch #3; (#6) Jin Yamato [New York Crush] vs. (#11) Kevin Shamrock [Tri-State Evolution]- After 16:17 of action, the very impressive and underrated Jin Yamato took home a first round win tonight over an equally impressive captain, following the Rising Sun. Yamato has just been riding high this season and there wasn't a real way he was losing the first round. Shamrock put in a decent effort, but had no choice but to stay down after the Rising Sun. The crowd was shocked as they thought the experience of Shamrock would help carry him, but it didn't phase the young Yamato who is celebrating his victory hard tonight. - Intermission #1 - - Dos Caras will be signing autographs following the show tonight. Be sure to stick around and meet a living legend. - Kid CuDi preceded to perform 'Make Her Say', which is also off his first LP, 'Man on the Moon: The End of Day'. The crowd seems to be very into this young artist that is sweeping the United States. vs. First Round Match - 20 Minute Time LimitMatch #4; (#3) LyNN [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. (#14) Petey Williams [Las Vegas Blitz]- After 09:50 of action, the match following the break wasn't all that competitive and it seemed a bit one-sided from the crowd's point of view. LyNN, who is quietly one of the best stars today, took home a first round victory for himself, after he caught Williams with the Springboard Tornado DDT. Williams virtually saw no offense at all and this match could have been done sooner if LyNN wanted it to be done sooner. The crowd wasn't all too into this one and I think it should have ended sooner than it did. vs. First Round Match - 20 Minute Time LimitMatch #5; (#4) Trace Demon [Las Vegas Blitz] vs. (#13) Cody Rejero [Boston Brawlers]- After 11:14 of action, in a shocking upset that sent the third Las Vegas Blitz member out of the tournament tonight, Cody Rejero regrouped just in time for the tournament and won following a Piledriver. Rejero was the clear underdog in the match, as Demon has been great throughout the year. Unfortunately, for Trace, Rejero decided to show up like he did in the first half of the year and put Demon right out of the tournament. The Blitz had no luck tonight and all three of their members are eliminated in the first round. vs. First Round Match - 20 Minute Time LimitMatch #6; (#2) Jason Williams [Chicago Warriors] vs. (#15) Kevin Hart [New York Crush]- After 18:43 of action, the man who reached the finals last year takes an early exit from the re-emerging Jason Williams, who has been off the charts this season. Williams finishes the now captain of the Crush, Kevin Hart, off with the Psycho Driver. Williams, who didn't have a memorable appearance in the tournament last year, is in much better shape and is a much better wrestler this time around and he put down Hart, but not without a struggle. Hart tried with all he has in him, but couldn't repeat the magical run he had last year and fell flat in a great match. - Intermission #2 - - Danny Trejo said a few words about the National Wrestling League. He thanked Jeff Gomez and the entire NWL for having him and he wanted to left everyone know that his son is a big wrestling fan, so he is thankful for sharing a bond to keep each other close. Trejo then told the crowd he will be attending all three nights, including Night #3, where his sexy co-star of Machete, Jessica Alba, will be attending! - Kid CuDi performed a new, untitled song off of his upcoming second LP, 'Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager', which is due out in November. The track was definitely hot. vs. First Round Match - 20 Minute Time LimitMatch #7; (#7) Bret Thomas [Tri-State Evolution] vs. (#10) Cameron Stone [Boston Brawlers]- After 17:36 of action, these two competitors, who couldn't be more different in the ring, put on the best match of the night and possibly one of the best of the season. This match was seen as a sleeper and was forgotten, but both men made sure that the crowd got their money's worth. In the end, the young Bret Thomas put the grizzled veteran, Cameron Stone, down for the count after the Hammer's Fall. Stone could have got the win after a Cam Slam, but it took so much out of him also, that he couldn't muster the pin. Thomas stuns the crowd and myself and moves on to the second round after a real impressive win. - Following the match, Cameron Stone stopped Thomas before he left the ring area. He thanked Thomas for putting on such a great match and bringing out of the best in Stone yet again. He looks forward to an encounter again this season and hopefully the playoffs. Thomas shook Stone's hand and walked off to a big hand from the crowd. vs. First Round Match - 20 Minute Time LimitMatch #8; (#5) TJ Perkins [Boston Brawlers] vs. (#12) Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted]- After 18:25 of action, in another match between two guys with different styles, Red Dragon took the spot home for the Most Wanted, as he completed the upset of Perkins after the Red Dragon Driver. Perkins seemed to have everything under control until the 15 minute mark, where something clicked inside Dragon and he started going out of control. He used some brawling and raw power ability I didn't know he had. The match then turned to Dragon's and he then put the indy veteran down with the Dragon Driver to advance into tomorrow's second round. BE SURE TO JOIN US TOMORROW NIGHT, OCTOBER 2ND, WHERE THE BEST OF THE BEST TOURNAMENT CONTINUES! ROUND 2 IS COMING UP!

Holy I actually beat Trace. That is amazing. Surprised I was the only Brawler that won tonight, I thought for sure that TJP or at least Cameron would of picked up the win. Don't know if I can beat Red Dragon but maybe I'll pick up an even bigger upset. Good show Duaner, this is without a doubt my favorite diary on the board atm.

Best of the Best baby, great write up Duan never expected this to be this good or to be put up this fast, this should easily go in the HOF alongside part 1, I think every choice was the right choice, maybe a little overboard with 3 LA's going through but it shows thier dominece so it works, the two shockers for me were the obvious Trace being beaten by Cody and Hart going out but a great match, you kept me on edge by putting Dragon's match last, never heard of Kid CuDi but it fits in well, next round looks good esp Bennett/Devin, I'm hoping that LA don't all get elimanated I'd be happy if one made it through, I deffo don't see both Devin and Dragon getting through cause they'd face each other in the next round, overall keep this rolling can't wait to see who triumphs as BotB.

Awesome show man. Great that both Jason and Ace make it through to the second round. I would be completely shocked if both made it through again, but that would be awesome. Cool to see Rejero advance as he is one of my favorite characters on this, but I really like pretty much everyone who got through. This show was awesome though from top to bottom, and Round 2 promises to be the same. Keep it up man.

NATIONAL WRESTLING LEAGUE PRESENTS: BEST OF THE BEST 2010; NIGHT #2 Mexico City, Mexico 10/02/09 - 8:00 PMAttendance: 8,500 (sell-out) Clips from Round One last night are shown on the video tron and the crowd settles in as Night Two is about to begin. Hello Everyone, Jimmy Pietrafesa here and tonight, we will find out who will be going into the final night still in the tournament! Kid CuDi is introduced for the second night in a row and he starts to perform 'Pursuit of Happiness' off of his first LP, 'Man on the Moon: The End of Day'. The crowd really enjoys his music and the sold out crowd is getting ready for the evening. Jeff Gomez, CEO of the National Wrestling League, comes out following the performance and thanks everyone in attendance for coming out tonight. He wants to welcome a few special guests tonight as Hector Guerrero, George Lopez and of course, Danny Trejo again, are in attendance for tonight's show. Lopez is a famous comedian and Hector Guerrero is a member of the legendary Guerrero wrestling family. Gomez then tells the crowd that its enough talking and time for the action to start! vs. Second Round Match; 25 Minute Time LimitMatch #1; (#13) Cody Rejero [Boston Brawlers] vs. (#12) Red Dragon [Los Angeles Most Wanted]- After 19:09 of action, the action kicked off in an awesome way tonight, as these two competitors put on one of the best matches of the year and possibly the best so far in the tournament. When all was said and done, Cody Rejero walked away with another upset over a seasoned veteran, this time after nailing a powerbomb and rolling up Dragon out of nowhere. Dragon was shocked at the end of the match, as this bout was more back and fourth than anything. Rejero looked at his best tonight and this is a great sign for Boston. vs. Second Round Match; 25 Minute Time LimitMatch #2; (#2) Jason Williams [Chicago Warriors] vs. (#7) Bret Thomas [Tri-State Evolution]- After 21:32 of action, another excellent match is displayed for the crowd and the second seed in the tournament was able to take care of his adversary tonight, as Jason Williams scored the second round win after a Psycho Driver. These guys know how to go together in the ring and even though Thomas is a rookie, he looked so well inside the ring, but just fell short to the mighty Williams. Jason has looked on point and back to normal for two nights in a row now and he seems very determined to bring the honor home to Calgary! vs. Match #3; Matt Justice [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. X Jack [New York Crush]- After 15:34 of action, the recently returning Matt Justice took ahold of this match and got the clean victory after a Double Underhook Powerbomb. Jack has been in a big slide as of late and cannot grab anything to get himself turned around. Justice, on the other hand, has been absolutely dominate since being recalled and makes me wonder who will stop this force. The crowd didn't like this one as much as the first two though. - Before the intermission break, Matt Justice grabbed a microphone and told the sold out crowd that if he wasn't sent down, he would be in the middle of winning the Best of the Best right now and he wouldn't have to beatdown nobodies for no reason. He then dropped the microphone and left was we went to break. - Intermission - - An announcement about the Off-Season was made. It said that during this off-season, things will change for the better in the National Wrestling League. Be sure to stick around for updates. - Kid CuDi did a freestyle rap on National Wrestling League and wrestling in general. He dropped some old school names which the crowd loved of course. vs. Match #4; Marcus Jones [Tri-State Evolution] vs. Chris Jackal [Chicago Warriors]- After 15:02 of action, the formerly undefeated Marcus Jones tasted defeat for the first time this season tonight, as Chris Jackal scored the impressive win for Chicago following the Shooting Star Press. This match was pretty solid, but pretty botchy at some points. Jones couldn't find the handle tonight and almost hurt Jackal a few times, which made Jackal upset. These two seemed a bit stiff together, but when the dust settled, Jackal was the one who walked away a winner. vs. Second Round Match; 25 Minute Time LimitMatch #5; (#3) LyNN [Los Angeles Most Wanted] vs. (#6) Jin Yamato [New York Crush]- After 21:03 of action, in an absolute shocker in my opinion, the young Jin Yamato silenced some critics tonight as he scored a second round victory over one of the best workers in the business after he hit the Rising Sun. Yamato & LyNN put on a clinic and after seeing this match, its safe to say that Yamato is the most impressive rookie so far this season. LyNN had trouble keeping up with Jin and the crowd was pulling for the newcomer to advance to the third round. Another REAL solid match and the crowd is being treated to the best action in wrestling today! vs. Second Round Match; 25 Minute Time LimitMatch #6; (#1) Ace Bennett [Chicago Warriors] vs. (#8) Devin Curtis [Los Angeles Most Wanted]- After 24:50 of action, with just ten second to spare before the time-limit had expired, Devin Curtis made sure his team wasn't shutout tonight and advanced into the third round, after nailing a wonderful 450 Splash. Ace Bennett, the reigning Best of the Best, was eliminated tonight, but he didn't go down without a fight. This confirms that we will have a new winner this year, but the crowd was stunned that Ace was actually eliminated. Bennett wasn't too happy with himself, but how can be upset with the effort he put in? Such an excellent match to end the night! - JOIN US TOMORROW FOR THE CONCLUSION OF THE TOURNAMENT & MORE GREAT NWL ACTION!

Another show another loss. I'm happy that Rejero got to the semi's though as well as Yamato as he's from the Crush.

A few shockers in this round, I happy to see Devin go through but don't see him winning this at all, Cody over Dragon was a huge shocker and sets Cody up big time, both Ace and LyNN going were also quite big shockers, good to see Justice getting a decent win also, would have liked to see more LA go through but I'm happy that one went through, would never have guessed these to be the final 4, I'm kinda hoping its not Jason as he's allready had a huge push, good luck and keep this up.
