Wow really, a guy that can clean a Bolt Action Rifle should also know Photoshop and how to extend a wireless network? Its good to have a bit of variety in these 'men should know these skills' lists but that list is straight up intellectually- disabled.

I can only do:
# 2, 5, 12, 15, 16, 17, 21, 23, 25.
This list is kinda unreasonable. Clean a bolt-action rifle? Seriously?

You would not want me to frame a wall unless you really enjoy walls that aren't square. I would have no clue how to clean a bolt action rifle since I've never even handled a gun in my life. My Photoshop skills are rudimentary at best. I'm terrified of screwing with electricity so you would not find me anywhere near trying to fix a dead outlet. I'd just replace the dang thing. Also, you'd only want me to bleed your brakes if you enjoyed the idea of not being able to stop your car.

I've actually done all of the bolded ones. My dad was a mechanic, and is pretty much handy with with most things, so I learned alot from him. Other things I've done and had to learn, once I got my own place. That list is missing things, and is a bit unreasonable. Why would every man need to know how to clean a Bolt Action Rifle? And why isn't "know how to change a tire" or "know how to change a door lock" not on there?

You'd think raising a family would be an important one.

I hate these manly lists. Just because you don't know these they are to make you seem like you are less manly

You'd think raising a family would be an important one. Not every man has, or will have children. Not to mention that being responsible for another life is a learning process. You can't "know how" to do it before you actually do it.

I hate these manly lists. Just because you don't know these they are to make you seem like you are less manly I completely agree with you. I always hated the stereotypical nonsense about how playing with tools and drinking beer makes you a man.

I always hated the stereotypical nonsense about how playing with tools and drinking beer makes you a man. Playing with tools and drinking beer doesn't make you a man. It makes you a Man's Man! FWIW, I think every human - man, woman, or child - should know how to fillet a fish and build a fire. That's basic survival.

Well, I know how to paint a room at least. I'd rather go by Forrest Griffin's guidelines to manliness which he mentions in his book. It's a lot more reasonable than what's on that list. Also, I don't consider all that computer and technology stuff to be all that manly.

I don't have the time ATM because I'm going to be going out soon. But I should have the time later to type all that. He's got a manliness quiz and ways to improve your manliness and ways to lower your manliness, as well as examples of real men. If I got the time later I'd be more than happy to type all that.

I've always considered my dad to be manly, but he'd have no clue how to protect a computer or retouch digital photos or backup data or extend a wireless network. He's just not a technically astute person. I doubt he'd have any clue how to clean a bolt-action rifle either.

I don't necessarily buy the techie stuff myself, either. Seriously, though, everyone's gotta know how to change a tire. Everyone should know how to build a fire, and fillet fish to cook over it. Navigating with a map and/or compass is another biggie.
