Paul Heyman
Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter
TNA president Dixie Carter created a lot of buzz last month on Twitter when she teased that her company would once again change forever. Carter later clarified her remark, noting that the "change" would not be a specific announcement.
"You will just see for yourselves in the coming weeks," Carter wrote.
Carter's teased surprise that would "change TNA forever" was Paul Heyman, but a deal between both parties could not be reached.
Though a deal was not reached then, it's expected that Heyman will join the company in the near future. TNA officials are reportedly willing to give the former ECW creative director anything he wants in order to have him join their organization.
It's said that TNA's internal condition has hit rock-bottom over the last few weeks. Many within the company feel they need a savior and the only person who fits the bill is Heyman.

I don't agree with this either. This sounds like it could have been thrown together by anyone who watches the show, and with the rumor Paul Heyman will be joining TNA, it's easy to throw a random story together when you see ex-ECW wrestlers turn up.
Will Heyman be with TNA eventually- Who knows
But TNA needing a savior? With the way you here Hogan, Eric and even Dixie Carter talk, they don't come off feeling like they're backed against a wall needing a 'savior'. And of all the people to look for, why would they look for someone who had a 3rd rate company that failed? The two main people in TNA right now are those that were in WCW, which during it's prime beat WWE. Something ECW could never do, they couldn't even beat WCW during WCW's worst times.
What makes Paul Heyman a 'savior' other than he can make decent characters and made Smackdown watchable?
-I don't mind Heyman at all by the way.

What makes Paul Heyman a 'savior' other than he can make decent characters and made Smackdown watchable? The only reason ECW failed is because Heyman wasn't a good money man. ECW in turn, saved the WWF from being beat by WCW, by letting Vince take ECW stars to see how they would work in the WWF. Vince also pretty much took the ECW style to make the Attitude Era that most people love, but doesn't really like to admit it. So if Heyman saved the WWF from WCW, it could be possible that he could save TNA from the WWE.

Sure, WWE took a few things from ECW. They used a more 'hardcore aspect. But it was still the drama that made WWF 'beat out' WCW. Mick Foley falling of the cell didn't make everyone change the channel although it really made it feel like 'anything can happen in WWE'. But it was more the Rock and Austins feud or Austin vs McMahon's drama and that whole storyline that won everyone over.

WWF was on a national scale, while ECW was a northern explosion. Dudleys and Tazz came in around 99-2000. WCW was already killing its self at this point. Arquet as champion, Russo as champion? Yea, WWF was winning at this point, but not due to ECW guys, but due to the fact that no one wanted to see Movie stars as champions, or backstage writer's. Yes, the new england area tuned in to see ECW guys on WWF tv in 96-97, But that wouldn't help the Monday Night War. Hving guys who aren't very well-known? I must disagree.

Its more than just ECW guys on WWF TV. Back in 1998, had you asked people at wrestling shows, 75% of them wouldnt even know what ECW was. Vince Mcmahon took ECW's style and put it on his show. Thats how ECW played a major role. It wasnt just putting ECW characters on TV in late '99, its the presentation that appealed to people, and to 75% of them, it was WWF who was hardcore, most didnt know ECW.
You guys have to understand though that Austin may have been in large part the reason for the tide changing to WWF over WCW. HOWEVER, Austin 2nd WWF personality was 99% inspired by The Sandman who as we all know was an ECW wrestler. So once again Vince went to the ECW well and came out with something new and fresh. (Austin has stated in numerous interviews that his character was inspired by Sandman. Also holding up Sandmans arm at the 1st ONS to honor him)
And this is just a cherry on the cake but Stone Colds promos were written by than WWF wrestler and former ECW wrestler Brian Lee. Lee helped shape Austins promos in ECW (where Austin came from) and than continued to help him in the WWF
ECW cant be ignored because the fact of the matter is, they DID play a major role in WWF beating WCW.

Vince had the money and recognition to put the ecw style under his banner, onto a national scale. So Vince was able to improve his business and beat out the competition by using Heyman's ideas. Simply put, TNA needs Heyman. Wrestling needs Heyman, his ideas were something new and fresh. With Heyman in TNA, things can only get better, despite the horrible decisions made by Dixie Carter.

Heyman is a legend, but I'll always think of him as that guy who was a genius with the lesser worldwide known talent, seems to suit him better rather than working with guys like Sting, Flaiur etc... Guys with more of an ego.

It's definitely BS. Dixie even said later on, that it wasn't a new signing... but rather just something you'd see in the coming weeks.
I personally think it's Sting's suspension.
