It's a 4chan term. When a story or joke goes around without changing it and it becomes a meme, it's called copypasta. These stories are just the same except creepy hence the term, creepypasta. Oh, I see. So the Mickey Mouse story is similar to the Dead Bart and Spongebob stories? |

I know somewhat of the Mickey Mouse thing, where the music was droning and the editor had to watch it for hours with the music and the same clip of Mickey Mouse walking, and he then killed himself.

The Dead Bart and Spongebob stories were great because on one hand they were creepy, yet on the other incredibly over the top and absurdly humorous. <3 them.

Something along those lines. From what I read it wasnt hours but instead 9 minutes and 4 seconds and there was somthing unknown at the end that caused the suicide. Either way its funny how all these storys sound legit untill about half way through. The only ones that were remotely beileveale was simile dog and Dead Bart(untill the gravestone part). The spongebob one is easily the fakest and Candle Cove one just dosent make sence to me. |

I love this stuff too. Check this out, it's a more recent thing, and less of a legend/myth, but if you want something quite creepy, you'll get it here... I actually posted this in the entertainment forum a couple weeks ago and no one replied, I was a little surprised, as I found it incredibly interesting. It's a series of videos based on the fictional (and internet created) character The Slender Man. He's an abnormally tall man who is faceless. He was created by a guy on the somethingawful forum who photoshopped images and put him in them. A couple guys then took the idea and created a video series about it. It's still unfinished, no one really knows if and when more entries will be posted. The videos center around a guy who is on the search for his missing friend, Alex. Alex was filming a movie for school and began to feel as though someone was following him. He began filming his every day activity to check for things out of the ordinary. His friend comes across the footage after he's gone missing, and sifts through it, posting what he feels is interesting as entries on YouTube. I must first thank the original poster, as he showed me the Dead Bart and Suicide Mouse ones prior to posting. I watched the Suicide Mouse video in it's entirety. In some ways, it is creepy, but mostly due to the music and sounds. On the other hand, I must say that this thread is showing me just how depraved I am. I wanted so bad to believe these but they all feature elements that are so out of the realm of reality that they couldn't possibly be real (the dead children, the tombstones with celebrity death dates, crying for a whole act, the assistant committing suicide after repeating the phrase 7 times). I am so fascinated and intrigued by creepy disturbing imagery, especially when creepy manipulation of sound is involved. I could read these stories all day. I found myself googling dead bart and this video popped up I have been trying to embed it but it doesn't appear to be working. Anyway, it is clearly fake, considering that I am pretty sure that the Bart screaming portion is from a Treehouse of Horror episode (or any of the 500 other episodes where he is screaming about something), but there are some bits that I don't recognize. Even though the story is fake, the video is at least creepy enough to warrant a viewing. It isn't great, but its pretty cool. |

After watching that Candle Cove video yesterday, I had terrible nightmares last night, Im not kidding. I havent had a nightmare in god knows how long...
Also, anyone have video of that Squidward Suicide thing? I want to see it, tough it seems unreal
