I don't think Thiago gets to be in the top five also Machida should always be above Rampage. Also Mir should be below JDS.

For everyone who is picking Edgar over Penn...
If you were forced to put $100 of your own money on the line, in an even-money bet, where you had to choose the winner of the Edgar/Penn rematch... Would you really pick Edgar?
If you would, cool. But I'm going to guess that the vast majority of people are picking Edgar simply because he won the first fight, and not because they legitimately believe he's the better fighter.
I don't want to make a Matt Serra/GSP comparison because I feel like Edgar is a lot closer to Penn's level than Serra was to GSP's when he beat him... But I think there has to be some sort of consideration made for a fluky victory.

The only defense I have for Edgar being over Penn is because he has the strap.
And, for the record, I'm not picking Edgar in the rematch. Even though I have been training partners and kind of friends with Edgar, I don't think he'll be as lucky as he was in the rematch.

But I guess that begs the question -- why does the champion automatically get the #1 ranking, even if you don't believe he's as good as a guy who you rank BELOW him?

In that case, I shouldn't even rank Lesnar.

In that case, I shouldn't even rank Lesnar. I just think that rankings should be who you think is the best. Even if a guy is coming off of back-to-back losses, if you legitimately believe he's the BEST, then you should rank him that way.

Yeah, I guess the question is whether you're ranking them based on how you think UFC ranks them; or how YOU personally rank them...
To me, I don't really care how UFC ranks them.
