Elite 5, despite being really strong from a collectors stand point, looks like it will probably be a HUGE shelf warmer except for Dolph Ziggler.
Kozlov, Henry, Chavo, and Swagger all had Basic version figures that couldn't sell for crap, and if nobody was buying them at $9.99 they sure as hell aren't going to buy them for $14.99. Mysterio is popular with kids, and Ziggler sells well from Basic 4, although it's not impossible to find.
I think kids will be less likely to want their parents to buy them figures of these wrestlers...but that is fine to me because I want to be able to find them as easily as possible.
Elite 5 looks like an AWESOME SET, but so was Elite 3 and the Miz, Santino and Cody are still everywhere, and I see those figures on the same level as Kozlov, Henry, Chavo and Swagger where the figures are awesome, but the actual characters are not popular.

I barely ever saw their Basic figures, but the $15 price tag might be a factor. I see Swagger selling well, but the other 3 are definitely in the air. I know I won't be getting them (maybe Chavo, but only to go with the Eddie that we'll get eventually)

I don't think they will kozlov, henry & swagger were in series 2 which was out back in January so some kids might not of had a chance to get them and i have a feeling some will pick them up. Also being 1 per case will help as there aren't as many elites per case as basics.

That's what I'm hoping for after buying 4 out of the 6 figures in both the Legends Series and Elite 4 recently. I've seen every Elite figure 1-4 in stores at one point in time or another so I'm not worried about having any trouble finding them. Though it would be nice to be able to spread out the buying over a few weeks if these warm the shelves to save a little money instead splurging all at once like I did with 3 and 4. Especially since Ziggler and Swagger are really the only guys I enjoy on television in this series.

I completely agree. Despite the awesome quality and accessories, from a kid's point of view, they couldn't care less. That is one of the main reasons that I am only going to push hard to find my Ziggler online, or if worst comes to worst at retail, because all of the others will no doubt be put on sale at some point or another.

I rarely saw the basic Swagger but I think A few will be shelf warms but Mysterio will be near impossible to find while Swagger and Dolph will fly off the peg pretty fast as well IMO.
Kozlov, Henry and Chavo will shelfwarm with Kozlov being the harder to find of the 3 since hes getting A little bit more popular to kids I would think.
All in All I think itll shelf warm as much as other elites roughly (Elite 2 DiBiase and Hardy are major shelfwarms still around here as Elite 3 Miz, Rhodes and Santino are warming up the pegs and I expect Elite 4 Finlay to be as well).
This set may very well be my favorite of the elite, I bought 4 of the 6 (Chavo, Rey, Swagger and Kozlov) from RSC that will arrive tomorrow and I will buy Ziggler and Henry at retail when they pop up.

They will end up selling. At only one per case most people get the good ones then the kids just want a toy or a guy John Cena can beat up and get whoever.

The only two I see selling well in this set around here is Mysterio & Swagger. The other four will be huge shelfwarmers just like their Basic figures were. I have no doubt that Dolph especially will be sitting on the shelf here for a while. I'd say at least 8-9 of his Basic figures have been sitting here for weeks now.

I agree but disagree. Yes, Kozlov, and Swagger were big pegwarmers. Even during the Jakks era. By me, Henry, and Rey sell well. Ziggler is super hard to find. Kids will want the Reys and Mark Henrys from the set. The only ones I see being true pegwarmers are Chavo and Kozlov.

Am I the only one pumped for Chavo? Granted, I wish his poncho was black on the inside, but now I can have a Chavo, with excellent articulation, without having to own that bag of a$$ Hornswoggle.

Mysterio will sell well, can't see the others doing great. Exactly, yes collectors will race to get this set, but most of them go through the internet anyways. What kid is going to want a Kozlov or Chavo figure? Its sad but true.
