Day of Reckoning 2 tournament (7/31/10 UPDATE)

ROUND 1 MATCH CARD UP!

Some of the matches I was hoping for didnt happen but still looks like a great lineup! Really looking forward to some of these.

Undertaker vs Edge

Taker started things fast with a series of punches and took Edge to the corner. Taker went for a stinger splash but Edge put his foot up. Edge hit a superplex on the undertaker but soon Taker regained control and got a submisson. Edge got out and put Taker in a submisson of his own but Taker got out and hit the tombstone. Taker didnt go for the pin and Edge had enough time to make a comeback. Out of no where Taker got another Tombstone but still didnt pin. Edge tryed a rollup but got a 2 count. Edge hit the edgeacator followed by his impaler DDT and won at around the 7 minute mark.

Angle vs Rock

Shockingly the shortest match of the tornament at 3:45, the match was very fast paced and started with lots of reversals. The Rock tryed a Rock Bottom early but Angle got out and sent Rock to the corner and hit a super angleslam followed by an ankle lock 2 minutes in the match. The Rock faught out of it and hit a Spinebuster followed by a DDT and the Rock won.

The Rock pulls out the win.

Rey vs Jericho

Match of the tournament worthy match. Very back and forth match with a ton of reversals. Jericho started with a headlock but Rey pushed him to the corner and began punches followed by a wheel kick and hurricarana. Jericho came back with some stomps and got tripped up by Rey as he was pushed to the second rope. Rey ran to the ropes for a 619 but Jericho moved out of the way and hit a low blow. Jericho begins working on the head of Rey with chinlocks and sleepers but eventually Rey recovers and begins hitting more kicks. Jericho catches Rey in the walls of Jericho and Rey almost taps but Rey sends Jericho over the ropes and the 2 began fighting outside. Jericho hits a brutal clothesline halfway through the refs count and runs back in the ring. Rey is down at 9 but somehow pops up and rushes in the ring right as the ref was droping his hand for 10. I really thought it was over there but the two start fighting again and Jericho gets Rey in the walls of Jericho and wins at 7:04

Michaels vs London

London starts off quick reversing most of Shawns moves. Paul sends HBK to the corner but Shawn elbows him and and locks in a figure 4. Paul gets out and gets a rollup. Shawn kicks out and whips Paul to the ropes. Paul goes for a running kick but Shawn dodges it and hits the superkick. Then Shawn locks in the figure 4 again but Paul wont tap. Shawn hits another superkick at 3:48 to get the win.

Eddie vs Edge

Eddie went for an elbow as the match began but Edge ducked and began punching Eddie. He then sent him to the ropes but Eddie countered with a rollup. The two began exchanging slams, arm drags, and even a hurricarana by Eddie. Edge went for a wheel kick but missed. Eddie hit a drop kick and then put in a arm lock. Edge got out and put a hold of his own. Eddie retailiated but Edge threw him over the rope and they faught outside where Edge hit the Edgeacator. Eddie got back in the ring at the refs count of 7. Eddie threw Edge over the ropes and hit the 3 amigos on the hard floor outside the ring. Eddie ran back in the ring at 8 and won by countout at 4:53

Triple H vs Jericho

Triple H took down Jericho and began working on the leg and back of him with submissons and backbreakers. Jericho tried fighting back but the Game regained control with an arm lock. Jericho reversed with a reverse dropkick and tried to grab him but the game hit a low blow and briefly regained control. Jericho tried a walls of Jericho but Triple H reversed. Jericho then hit a low blow after taking out the referee. Triple H fired back with punches and the face-to-knee move. As the ref got up Jericho locked in a sleeper but Triple H sent him to the ropes. Jericho came back with a flying forearm and then locked in the walls of jericho. Triple H wouldnt job so Jericho sent Triple H over the ropes. Then Jericho slammed the games knee on the floor and soon they were both back in the ring. But it didnt last long as both men got back outside where Triple H went for a Pedigree but was backdropped on the floor. Once again both men re-entered the ring and once again they were brawling on the floor. Jericho hit an enzaguri and entered the ring again. Triple H got back in again but Jericho was ready and locked in the walls of Jericho to win at exactaly 7:00. Another show stealing preformance by Jericho.
