On Thursday night, Alex Riley lost the FCW Championship in a triple threat match pitting him against the #1 contender, Johnny Curtis, and a wild card opponent hand picked by One Night Stand GM, Abraham Washington, international superstar and recent WWE acquisition, Mason Ryan. Curtis was thrown out of the ring by Ryan and then (on his second attempt at the move) Ryan hit a spinning variation of the "Rock Bottom" to get a clean pin on Riley to become the 10th FCW champion since its 2007 inception. Ryan follows the elite list of Jack Swagger, Sheamus, Eric Escobar, Michael McGillicutty, Drew McIntyre, Tyler Reks, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, & Alex Riley... all former FCW champions, showing this belt is a stepping stone to much bigger things. Mason Ryan, is Welsh born Barri Griffiths, who was previously best known on UK's Gladiators as Goliath. He has the classic WWE appearance that Vince likes so much... He's 6'6" and just shy of 300 pounds and strongly resembles Dave Batista. ------------------------------------ Posted it because he's fcw champion and i think all the former champs have appeared on wwe tv, so theres a good chance he could be next heres a pic of the guy  |

I never liked Mason Ryan, but it is a shocker cause I never thought he would be the champion. I would have prefered Johnny Curtis as champion.

He needs to bring back the beard or something. I saw him wrestle and Batista chants definitely broke out. I am surprised he is FCW Champion honestly.
