Dawn Marie Damatta, who performed for World Wrestling Entertainment from 2002 to 2005, admitted to the Connecticut Post that she used steroids during the course of her tenure in the organization. “I chose to take that shortcut,” the former WWE Diva said. “Did Vince (McMahon) tell me to take that shortcut? No. Did WWE? No. Why did I do it? Because I thought that’s what I needed to do in order to keep up … There was no testing policy.” Damatta feels one only needs to take a look at the physiques of present day WWE talent to know that steroid use is not as prevalent as it was in the past. She also believes the company’s drug testing policy has reduced the abuse of drugs such as painkillers, therefore saving lives. However, she feels Linda and Vince McMahon could do more to assist former talent. “Wrestlers are taken as children, thrown into this industry and then we’re dumped back out as adults. There’s no learning in the world. We’re on the road, traveling, hustling, getting beat up,” Damatta said. “Where do I go? What do I put on a resume?” www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/...er-career.html

Yeah, God forbid you got to college BEFORE you get into wrestling so you do have something to fall back on. They didn't hold a gun to your head and tell you NOT to have a back-up plan. Hell, listen to interviews from talent who are asked the question of "What is your advice for aspiring wrestlers?" - go to school and have a back up plan. It's not rocket science nor brain surgery.

Dude, life isn't that easy. You want to live the dream of being a wrestler. You do everything you can (While you're young) to try to get to live your dream. You're going to work in small feds and training and all that. Which costs a lot of money as well. Say you're picked up by a big company, you're on the road. You're getting good money. You're seeing things, you're meeting people. But once you're dumped from the dream, you're not left with much at all. You're back to everyday life, and reforming that 'everyday' life mentallity once you're on the road for however many years isn't easy. Which is why it's understandable that many wrestlers fall into a deep depression once they're usually fired or let go. Hell, I find myself depressed coming back after a busy vacation falling back into the 'every day' lifestyle isn't fun when you were once 'something' on tv each week. But this has little to do with Dawn Marie. I couldn't care less about steroids and wrestlers. I just found it funny for some reason. I wonder how Al Wilson would have felt about this.

Doesn't say that she took any during her tenure in ECW, which I guess is a good thing... It hints at it in the actual Connecticut Post article: Dawn Marie Damatta, who performed with WWE from 2002 to 2005 and whose profile is still on the company website, said she has used steroids during the course of her wrestling career, which began in the late-1990s.Dawn Marie Damatta, who performed for World Wrestling Entertainment from 2002 to 2005, admitted to the Connecticut Post that she used steroids during the course of her tenure in the organization. “I chose to take that shortcut,” the former WWE Diva said. “Did Vince (McMahon) tell me to take that shortcut?
