I had that exact same ring growing up, aswell as the Hasbro WWF ring beside it. The ring came with three sound effets; slam, grunt, 1,2,3-bell. The bootleg came with two generic figures that were modeled exactly like Hasbro WWF figures with the gorilla press slam effect (i.e. Hogan sires 1).
I saw the set again in a thrift store a few years ago, along with the generic Hasbro knock-offs, which were sold separately.
From what I remember, the frame of the ring was easily breakable. Which is why I don't have it anymore.

Yea, I remember seeing the bootleg ring on ebay then too. I got mine at BEST department store back in 1993 along with a few WWF Hasbro Figures. I sold it at a garage sale but recently just found the sound box! It's a blue rectangular plastic box with around 8 square red buttons that have different sounds. I didn't test it out since the batteries are dead but I will make sure to get it working in the next few days. I know a gracious member posted a picture of the sound box recently so check the old thread for that image.
EDIT: I can't remember the name of the company off hand ("Time" was in the name) but I researched it and it was a toy scrap company from China that put out bootleg wrestlers and GI Joe's.
