That Vader was something else. I didn't appreciate it at the time, but the proportions were always a bit of a sticking point for the BCA line, weren't they? I feel like Vader's top half was pretty spot on, but he did come off looking like he skipped a few weeks' worth of leg day, in retrospect. Pair that with oddly sized figures throughout (bulking season Edge, 1997 Mankind in 2018 Mick Foley's body, etc) and you really had quite the exaggerated line going on. Nevertheless, I'd love to sit down and pick the brain of whoever it was over at Jakks Pacific that ultimately wound up responsible for sitting down, looking at the molds they had in place and saying "you know, Vader would work rather nicely with a newly minted D'Lo Brown head up top!"
Yeah, Vader wasn't all bad. His stance is a little wide, but I'll take it any day over Savio Vega or the Sultan. I got a lot more mileage out of Vader as a kid because it could take a beating and looked good doing so. Maybe he wasn't the intimidating monster heel he should have been in figure form, but that makes it even more accurate to his WWF run at the time. I'd be curious to see if anyone ever repainted the original D'Lo figure (with Faarooq body) instead of using the Vader body figure. Just give it the head from the second figure and replace the arms with repainted DOA parts (if at all possible). That would have fit in just fine scale-wise. It couldn't be any worse than the bulked-up physiques. When Brian Christopher is more jacked than Kane, you know there's a problem that needs addressed.

My BCA Vader got beat to crap. His fingers ripped off, one of his legs missing...not sure what the hell kind of match I put the poor guy through, but it must've been something.

Savio Vega and The Sultan were up there in terms of next to no playability, right alongside the first Steve Blackman and The Big Bossman. Those last two are a shame, too, because their sculpts were next to impeccable and as display pieces, they'd be top of the line, but man, did Blackman's arms and Bossman's legs really hinder any ability to hold fluid matches with either of them.

Current collection as it stands today. I have a few others that I cant find at the moment. I'm currently looking for an HBK with the first mold.

Thunder ChunkyLots of good figures you've got there. Up front could be a murderers' row. Do you regularly display them on the Copco rack? I'd be afraid of too many toppling over to try with BCA figures. Haven't had any issues with Hasbro, Mattel or Jakks RA/DA.

ChicagoUnfortunately, I dont have them on display regularly. I was cleaning my shelves and had them close. I would love to get a more permanent display though.

Anyone have any ring apron stickers for the Attitude Ring? Or know if anyone remakes/prints/ has something similar? I recently just broke out my old ring and bca figures and my ring is looking rather rough.

Are you more surprised to see Savio there or WWE's selection? I'd buy Savio at any price if there was proof it had actually been in the store all those years.

Holy crap, the nostalgia of this thread. I remember having so many of these BCA's when I was younger - literally a few barrels full of them at one point. I was a huge HBK fan so I had tons of, if not nearly all of the ones that were made. My memory escapes me on what happened to them... either gave them away to a sibling or lost in storage somewhere, sadly. But I definitely remember my dad taking me to Wal-Mart, TRU, KBToys, and any other stores he could think of on a weekly basis to buy whatever I didn't have. Of course, being that young I never kept them in the package, but it would still be cool to find them all once again. Idk how I've never seen this thread until now after all the time I've spent checking out this forum over the years. Thanks for the memories, guys. Def gonna keep an eye on this.

Started repainting some of my old beat up jakks figures and swapping heads to make guys as they would have appeared during the BCA time frame. Love the way these guys came out. Additionally, the Mattel belts look great on these.
