In a weird way, I always felt that when a wrestlers arm or leg or head fell off from playing with it too much, it just meant you must have enjoyed that figure the most! Or it was just cheaply made haha
I had guys hold belts and lose a leg or get broken and I always used that as an excuse to have a tournament and push someone new to the title.
I remember when Hawk's head fell off, I turned Animal heel and called him "The Road Warrior" and he had a long run as European Champion.

The scale was so awful. Thats why when the attitude ring came out, I was super excited. And it came with a decently scaled cage too. Did anyone else incorporate non-wrestling figures in their feds? I had this army guy with a beret that was about 7 inches tall and a yellow U-shaped hook for a hand. I have NO idea where he came from either. ANyone by any chance have any loose pics of the attitude ring with th ecage ? Yeah, here are some: jakksbca.blogspot.com/2010/07/lvjr-do-you-have-attitude.html

I remember getting that ring for Christmas one year. I was so excited i couldn't get it out of the box fast enough ;D. I always had a hard time keeping the cage on the ring. Once when i was playing a cage match (Kane vs Undertaker). I had Kane throw the Undertaker in the cage and he ended up going thru the cage. I just played it like it was the greatest thing to ever happen . About a year ago i found an Attitude era ring with box at a yard sale for $2.00 so i bought it. The bad part is one of the ring post were missing and the people used a Popsicle stick as a ring post. I ended up selling that ring for $5.00 even after i told the lady it was missing a ring post.

OMG the Attitude Ring...
That was my first WWF wrestling ring. SOOOOOOO many amazing memories playing with that thing. I always hated the catapults, so I would just pretend they were some kind of ring crew hardware, like storage boxes or metal housings for sound equipment. Before I was able to get a casket accessory, they even doubled as Undertaker's casket!
I remember how versitile and imaginitive I could be with just that ring set. I could use the cage as a, ahem... cage... or I could take the pieces and lay them down to make a steel floor or some kind of backstage area! My friend up the street had the RAW is WAR Monster Ring, and I always felt bad for him. My ring looked realistic (for the time), was in scale, came with a cage and doubled as a storage/carrying case. His was solid black, the turnbuckles connected wierd, was WAAAAY too big (the top rope should never go over Taker's head), and didn't have a cage or anything. He still won though, because his mom took him to TRU regularly, and he had the Grapple Gear announce table and dumpster sets. My mom barely took me to Walmart... I hate you Rob.

I always played by myself because there where very few kids in my neighborhood. I would get to go to TRU every Saturday afternoon. After i did all the odd jobs for the people in my neighborhood. I always remember after the 2nd Saturday in October i was not allowed to buy any wrestling figures until after Christmas. I still remember going to Kmart (just on the other side of my old neighborhood) and seeing the Grapple Gear series. I only had enough for one so i got the one with the stairs.

I had not one, but TWO sets of grapple gear ring steps. Hooked to the attitude ring (which was later equipped with the good posts, nice turnbuckles, and ring skirts), I had the ultimate ring. also had three announce tables (the original grapple gear one, then I later got the two that came with the Jim Ross & Earl Hebnar ring), and the camera man playset. I always wanted the dumpster and casket playsets but couldn't ever find them.

I got the Grapple Gear casket set one year for my birthday. I never really did that many casket matches. But i used it as more of an entrance way for my Halloween Havoc ppv.

I did royal rumbles where i would randomly pull a figure out of the bin. Of course sometimes for storyline purposes I would choose a certain wrestler to come out. It was hard when there got to be 8 or so guys in the ring. A lot of wrestlers would be "fighting" in the corners, or someone would be hit with a finisher and would be knocked out for a little bit. I would keep switching between different sets of wrestlers during the match. If the ring got too crowded then I'd make some eliminations. Same here. I think that was the beauty of having a larger, out-of-scale ring like the old Monster ring because it provided more mat space for battle royals. I don't remember a whole lot going on in the Attitude ring except for maybe right after I got it when I used it for the catapults and cage attachment, but I always preferred the Monster ring. I probably used the cage pieces more for entrance set-ups than anything else. I would mix and match those silver sheets with the red block cage walls that came with the OSFTM WCW figure line. The Grapple Gear packs were a better fit with the Attitude ring, but I made it work for my Monster ring by occasionally using VHS tapes as wider steps leading up to the flat side of the apron. Plus, you could always toss the wrestler out of the ring and chances are they would fall on some kind of "steel", be it Grapple Gear or VHS-quality.

I remember setting up a bunch of plastic model cars to try and make a replica of the Over the Edge 1998 entrance way. I did a last man standing match between Stone Cold and the Rock where i had a car fall on the Rock. Therefor having Austin win The next night on Raw i had a bunch of refs bring the Rock out on a stretcher and I had the Rock name his replacement to take on Stone Cold for the wwf title. It was the Patriot ( I know but at the time i thought it was a good move).

Jerry Lawler announcing Doink the Clown as his replacement at SummerSlam 1993 doesn't seem so dumb now lol.

Speaking of Jerry Lawler i used in quite a bit in my fig fed as a wrestler. I made a big storyline building up to a match at Wrestlemania between Jerry Lawler and Taz. Needless to say Taz won. ;D
What was the biggest build up you ever did for a match? and how long?
What was your most insane storyline?
Who was the wrestler who never got a push in your fig fed?
Who was your longest champion?

Damn, you guys are going to get me hooked on BCA figs now. With Mattel not really appealing to me (though I have some basic figs of the most classic attitude era wrestlers), and the TNA line rolling slowly, I am mostly buying old RAs, and now I am even getting into Flex-ems and Hasbros. You know, just to have a little bit of everything. Jakks did a wonderful job at knocking out many good wrestling toys, figs and accessories and it kinda bothers me how people forget so easily now that Mattel is the top prima donna. I have some TTLs and I dig them, so who knows, maybe I start hunting for some BCAs further down the line. It's nice that you guys are managing to keep this thread in the first page, this part of the forum needs all the life and fresh air it can get.

This is my third time asking:
Why hasn't this just been stickied already?! This is probably the greatest thread the Jakks board has ever seen, and at 35 pages, you'd think we could get that little red tack on here damnit.
Now, to keep things rollin', this thread has gotten me all sentimental, and I'm finding myself reminiscing on a naive childhood spent playing with Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, The Rock, Kane and Undertaker figures... wondering who the hell would want a Flash Funk lol!!

I agree this should be stickied!! This thread just keeps going and going with great BCA stories.
My most memorable feud I had going was Shawn Michaels vs. Edge in 1999. Shawn was a baby face and the IC Champion and Edge was looking up to Shawn. Well, Shawn gave Edge an IC Title match on the big Halloween Night show and HBK was victorious. Soon after that though, HBK turned heel and joined McMahon's corporation and because WWE Champion. That set up for Christmas Day show, Shawn Michaels vs. Edge for the WWE Title inside a steel cage!! Edge was victorious and became WWE Champion.
Those are memories I will cherish forever! haha

Hey now, Flash Funk needs love, too. His "one-and-only" is one of my all-time favorites, but I still wish I could find a picture of the supposed red/yellow/orange prototype that was shown at, I believe, a Toy Fair event. Here's an interesting question: Which figure immediately comes to mind when you think of the the acronym "BCA"?

When i think of BCA. I always think of series 1 Bret Hart. Here are some of my favorite memories from my fig fed. Kane made his debut on Shotgun Saturday night when he choke slammed Savio Vega (Savio's biggest part in my fig fed) and called out the Undertaker. The Sunday night heat before my Halloween Havoc 1999 ppv. I had Austin come out with a chair and swing the chair at Triple H. Right before he made impact i acted like the camera cut off. I had a 3 stages of hell match between Bret Hart and Shane Douglas. 1st fall was a hardcore match. 2nd fall was steel cage match and the 3rd fall was last man standing. Shane Douglas won because during the 3rd fall he hit Bret with a chair and Bret's head popped off .

hahaha Bret's head popped off?!?!?! Well that would clearly end a match for sure! haha
When I think of BCA, I first think of the Series 2 HBK figure I had. The first BCA figure I ever got. I think that when it comes down to it, any time you think of a certain style of wrestling figure, the first one you bought or had is gonna be the one you automatically think of.

The figure I always automatically associate with "BCA" is Fully Loaded Billy Gunn. I don't know why, but he was always one of my absolute favorite figures.
My first BCA was Superstars series 1 Shawn Michaels. Second was Superstars 3 Bret Hart, third was Bad Boys Helmsley... seems like those should come to mind first.
I also always associate Slammers Dude Love, Patriot and Taka Michinoku with "BCA"... and playing with Bret Hart & Undertaker in the tub for a Hydo-Deathmatch!

hahaha Bret's head popped off?!?!?! Well that would clearly end a match for sure! hahaha Yeah his head popped off. I wasn't really that mad because i bought the figure from a flea market the day before for $1.00 . So it wasn't like i was out alot of money. It was a Slammers series 1 Bret Hart. I was really big on pre shows for my ppvs. I would try to hype up the matches the best i could. I always had the announcers table sitting on my dresser during a ppv. One time during the show the table fell apart and Jim Ross fell off my dresser. i stopped the match in the ring (Super Crazy vs Brian Christopher) and did a long sence where they brought out the stretcher and took J.R to the hospital. Honky tonk man came out and took J.R's place.
