The adverts are from a programme from the Mayhem In Manchester event that was held over here in England on the 4th April 1998.

Very cool, and not something I would have probably ever seen in my life if it weren't for you lol.
If you guys can believe it, I nearly caused a blister on my hand trying to remove ring posts from my Raw Is War Monster Ring last night. Anyone who has ever shared the experience knows how ridiculously impossible it is to get those things out after they were put in FOR THE FIRST TIME.
I wanted to see how various other ring posts looked in its place, and surprisingly the Ring Gear packs were not that effective; they don't sit quite right and easily swing side-to-side with the slightest touch. The Attitude Ring posts and those from the non-RSR HIAC playset are much better, but still not exactly to scale with BCA figures.

On an interesting side note, The Undertaker lost his bag with his outfit at the airport and so if you search for his match against Kane at Mayhem in Manchester on YouTube, you almost get a preview of ABA Undertaker as he is just dressed normally.

Those Monster Ring posts were DEFINITELY meant for one-time assembly. They sure were durable, though. I found the Attitude ring posts made for a pretty well-scaled ring for BCAs, the added room on the ring apron and compatibility with the Attitude Ring's steel cage was a definite plus as well.

easy trick for removing Monster Ring posts.. flip the ring upside down and hit the end that's in the base with a hammer. they'll pop right out. You don't even have to hit it hard.

So, I'm inclined to believe there is no such thing. The only figure(s) in that list that were due to receive an official release were The Acolytes, and prototypes were in the works for them before the would-be 2-pack was cancelled. I think they were also to be included in a Ministry of Darkness-themed 4-pack with 'Taker and Mideon, but those plans were also changed as Jakks was nearing the end of the BCA line in Fall 1999. I don't recall ever seeing Faarooq's new sculpt (and, remember, this was about three-to-four years before the newer BCA style Acolyte prototypes were made, which WF member STOMWIJF owns), but here's the classic image of Bradshaw's sculpt. Everyone else on that list is either pure speculation or a rejected, if not once considered, idea by someone at Jakks, with no prototypes in existence for any of them. However, The Godwinns, Droz, Animal, Bob Holly, Flash Funk, Bradshaw, Faarooq, Marlena, Jacqueline, and X-Pac (and Jeff Hardy, if you count his newer BCA style figures) were all eventually/previously made from that list.

I have also heard rumors of that Jake Roberts in BCA series 3. From what I have heard, is the reason there were the HBK and Hart re-releases.
I also thinks it intellectually- disabled that we never got a Jim Neidhart in the BCA line.

I don't think Roberts would need to be replaced by two figures. The line-up had debut figures of Ahmed, Bulldog, Mankind, and Sid in it, so Jakks was probably looking to cut costs and/or provide stores with additional shipments of popular names that would sell like Bret and Shawn. Why there were re-releases of Diesel and Goldust (well, Goldust had black trim added) in Series 3 is still strange to me.

Right, that is why I kept most of mine. I use there heads for RA customs. They come out very good.
chicago, no man. The rumor was....is that Jake Roberts and 123 Kid were to be in BCA Series #3. However both left the company around or near this time. That's what I heard.. take it for what's it is worth.

Oh, okay.
I'm not saying there couldn't have been talk of adding Kid or Roberts to the line, especially Superstars Series 3, but there is little, if any, evidence suggesting those two names were originally slated for release and were replaced by Bret and Shawn re-issues.
Under normal circumstances, I would think Kid's only shot at the BCA line would've been in Series 1, or Series 2 at the absolute latest. Roberts could have gone up until Series 3, but his face status would've barred him from the all-heel Series 4 line-up.
Any other rumors that you guys remember from collecting way back when?

I also thinks it intellectually- disabled that we never got a Jim Neidhart in the BCA line. I hated the fact I never had a Neidhart to complete the new Hart Foundation. Was there ever a reason? Also the rumor of Roberts and Kid in series 3 is something I had never heard of before, but cool to think about.

I've mentioned it previously in this thread, but I heard that Neidhart was not officially under contract with the WWF in 1997, so that might be the reason.
He was being paid per appearance during the Hart Foundation's final run and, since I'm sure he wasn't a top priority for Jakks at the time, his departure after Survivor Series closed the window of opportunity for a BCA figure.
I can imagine Vader's body with a screaming, or slight smirking, head sculpt for Neidhart in his...all-black ring attire? Does that sound good?
If not all-black, than maybe the black top/pink tights look to match Series 1 and 3 Bret.

Nope, no Jake prototype. As far as Neidhart is concerned, I don't remember him being there every week, so again it's unlikely his name would have ever advanced past the discussion stage for the Jakks team. Speaking of prototypes, I came across these images on the Jakks Museum website; all credit goes to them, though I wish I could say these were in my collection. I can never figure out why jakks never did a Droz in LOD gear.
they had a chance during the BCA days and again during the RA days.a 3 pack of the guys would have been great.....
on a seprate note I loved the LOD figs we got in BCA.my nephew always has The Regular first releas hawk and Animal feud with LOD 2000 who he uses as pretenders.
awesome figures IMO.
