that picture reminds me of how awesome the BCA Big Bossman was. Easily at least 10x better than the CS attempt. Head to toe unique molds, a GREAT head sculpt (isn't it amazing how 10+ years later and realscan photo technology, Jakks wasn't able to do as good of a sculpt as they did in 1999?) and generally just a great figure. I kind of want to get the Bossman/Austin 2 pack now, the one that came with the mask, just to display the Bossman complete on my shelf..
That picture actually looks quite like my own collection, albeit much smaller. I had that HHH, Savio, Henry, Dude, Shamrock, Taker 2, Goldust, Austin, Taker 1, McMahon, Billy, Bossman, and Holly. Considering the red & yellow Shamrock is a relatively uncommon variant, and most people that have Billy Gunn and Savio don't have them from those off series attires, it's cool to see them all together.

That series 8 Shamrock still annoys me to this very day!! I remember back then, it was either you were buying the new figures that were coming out of guys you never had, or doing like what I like to call the "vhs to dvd" upgrade only with figures, in buying figures you already had, but only cause they looked much better compared to their original figure. Perfect example as had been said numerous times so far, is the Series 6 Triple H over the Series 4 version of him. Yet, that Series 8 Shamrock was something I could not buy. The Ahmed Johnson legs sold me on why NOT to buy it. I get that they probably had a bunch of those molds sitting around, but to use them on Austin, Shamrock and later on the Signature Series Triple H in his trunks, was just horrible in my opinion.

The irony is, Shamrock's only decent BCA head was the non-screaming one. Which is odd, since Shamrock basically screamed in every match, haha.
I wonder, chicago or anyone else, would you be a pal and take maybe some side/back shots of Bret Hart figures? I have Superstars 1 already, but I'm just curious how different all their attires are (like the Owen 2-pack, the RAW is WAR or King of the Rungs box sets). Just looking to expand my Bret collection, haha. Any help gets + karma!

Haggar, I don't have a picture; but there's a Bret Hart slammers figure in pink pants and a black shirt. Love that figure. Hope that helped ya.

Awesome, awesome pics man! I really appreciate it - Karma for you!
It looks like the two in the box sets are the same design? I'm gonna definitely try and grab one of each of the different designs. My Bret Hart collection expansion begins!
candygallows - thanks man, I have the Slammers figure. I remember the attire being the same as Superstars 1 and 3, but yeah that was a great figure! The only Jakks Bret Hart I had up until CS1!

That Sid was purple and NOT blue?? Think so. I always liked the purple and wanted it on the CS fig of his. Chicago- What do you search on eBay to find some of the older BCA figs MOC? If you dont want to anwser it, its all good.

Yep, Sid is indeed purple lol.
And the two boxed set Brets are the same, which I forgot about until I just took those last three pics.
Best of '97 Series 1 Bret is a Superstars Series 1/3 re-release from the neck down.

If you dont want to anwser it, its all good. I don't mind at all. I try to keep it simple and broad with my search terms. Always start with the series or wrestler's name so, for instance, if you're looking for a 2 Tuff Series 2-pack or Undertaker figure you'll want to search for "2 tuff", "2-pack" or "pack" as well as "undertaker" or "taker." If you can't find anything with those terms, try to look for ways to describe the packaging. If it's on Summerslam 1999 carding, search for "summerslam", "1999" or "99" (the year of the figure's release is always helpful, too). Then, depending on what condition you'd like the figure in, try looking for "mib", "moc", "loose" or "used" figures in general. Or, pair those with the term "lots" to (hopefully) find two or more figures at a time. Other terms I often use: "complete", "complete sets" "factory sealed", "brand new" "error", "variant" "box set", "boxed set" "wwf", "wrestling", "wrestling figures" This link helps you to search specifically for wrestling action figures with all auctions ending soon: toys.shop.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED/Wrestling-/1170/i.html?_armrs=1&_dmd=1&_mdo=Toys-Hobbies&_mspp=&_pcats=754%2C246%2C220&_sop=1 This link helps you find newly listed wrestling action figures with the Buy It Now feature: toys.shop.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED/Wrestling-/1170/i.html?LH_BIN=1&LH_IncludeSIF=1&_armrs=1&_dmd=1&_mdo=Toys-Hobbies&_mspp=&_pcats=754%2C246%2C220&_sop=10 If you have anything specific in mind that you're searching for, let me know and I'll see what I can find (since I'm always browsing eBay).

^ That first one is awesome, man.
Reminds me of the pallet swap costume in WWF WarZone for N64. That was long before Kane wore that costume in real life, too, haha.

What arms did they use for the one on the right? Is that a full upper body of Owen/Jarrett?

Post by Chicago on Jan 20, 2011 23:34:29 GMT -5
Yeah, I sold you that first one for, like, $7.50, I think.
That is a Jarrett/Owen upper body (with the dreaded "thumbs up" arms) for the Series 3 figure on the right. It was re-released in Series 4 on green Backlash carding.

That's actually the regular Superstars Series 5 figure. I guess you could say the uncommon Shamrock is from Live Wire Series 1, with red and black kick pads (second from left in the pic below). what?!? i'd never seen that variant shamrock, now i need it! did the variant appear in both the best of 98 and livewire series 1?
