Well at least i remember it came with a leaf blower lol. I seen one at a flea market a few weeks ago but the guy wanted $18.00 besides that i don't see that many bca figures near me. That's what sucks. I don't know anywhere around that has BCAs. Which makes places that DO have them think they've got some hot commodity. That's why I always see overpriced BCAs, I guess.

Some people still think that if it has the old wwf attitude logo then it is worth something when it is not. I still remember fighting back and forth with a guy at a flea market over the Rock, Owen Hart 2 tuff 2 pack. He wanted $25.00 for it because he said it was extremely rare. I offered what i thought was a fair price ($10.00) but he said no because since it had the old logo that made it worth something. I went back two weeks later and he was not there but his wife was.I offered her $10.00 for the two pack and she took it.

I still am baffled by how so few people use the completed listings feature on eBay, including the sellers who constantly relist BCA figures for $20+ each.

I guess i am cheap then because i will not pay any more then $5.00 for a single moc bca figure.I will not pay over $10.00 for an moc 2 pack and i will not pay over $2.00 for a loose bca.

^ That's not cheap. That's pretty much what most BCAs should command anyway. I would say that any BCA that goes for higher is either rare (like a MOC Bret/Owen pack) or just worth it to the person buying it. I know that I would pay a little extra for a mint figure, just because I would want a nice piece for my personal collection. But I wouldn't be cool with like 15 to 20 dollars for ONE single figure.

You're bound to overpay for something, eventually.
I'm willing to pay more if it's from a reliable seller and an item that I could not find otherwise, such as the Special Edition Series 3 HHH variant I paid about $12 shipped for a while back.
There are always going to be the people who dog the BCA line and its figures being "worthless", as if that somehow has any correlation with the quality of the figures themselves (which is a topic for another day), but I think most visitors to this thread will realize there is a happy median for those willing to do their own research to find good deals on BCA figures in 2011.
In other words, don't trust the phony eBay sellers, and don't trust the people who say BCAs are altogether worthless.

Any ideas on why BCA's aren't worth much anymore? I remember from 1998-2002, individual figures could fetch $20-$30 easily. My guess is that the market got flooded with way too many figures. Its interesting, because you would think figures from one of the most popular eras in wrestling history would command some money.
On a side note, dumb question, but has anyone ever heard of a person with a complete Jakks set?

There's no such thing as a complete set since...well, how do you define "complete"? It's really a subjective matter, because some people might consider variants or factory errors as part of a complete collection and others might not.
Do you include the later Backlash series or newer BCA style figures?
As for the reasons why, oversaturation of the market is definitely the most logical. Collectors ultimately moved on with the success of the TTL line and the progression of technology used for action figures (R3 body scans, for instance), as well as the proliferation of RA (especially CS) and DA style figures for the majority of the last decade.

When I say complete I mean regular store released figures, no variants, protos, mistakes etc. There were just SOOO many figures, I dont see how it is possible to have close to all of them. Hell, do we even know of all the series and boxed sets that were released? Every once in a while I see a set I've never come across before on here

I know BCA figures might not be the most popular wrestling figures but they will always be in my collection because of the memories i had when i was a kid.
Nothing will ever replace the feeling of going into a store and seeing a set you had no idea was coming out and marking out for a figure you had no idea was being made.

Every once in a while I see a set I've never come across before on here I know of, like, 99.9 percent of what was released in the BCA line. I might be missing a few Sam's Club/BJ's exclusives on my blog's checklist, but I have most everything else.

Currently in talks of a trade for a Bret Hart from King of the Iron Rungs! The guy says it's new out of the box, I'd be trading my R3 Billy and Chuck for it. Going back to the post above where people will inevitable overpay for something (haha), I don't mind trading 2 figures for it, since these two figures have sat in a box for 5 years, whereas the Bret would be displayed among my other Hitman figures. Hopefully this trade works out! I'd love to add to my Bret collection.

Nice to see the Signature Series 2 Billy Gunn knee pad variant. Very unusual for Jakks at the time.

I just picked up a MIB Stone Cold Toyfare at a local hobby shop for $4. I'd call that a score, probably cheaper than back when it was released

Good price. Will you open it?
It's not particularly hard to find anyway, and it's a decent street gear Austin.

I keep everything I got MOC. The hobby shop I was in had tons of wrestling figures, all in great shape except the Jakks BCA figures. The packages were dusty and beat up, really sad. All low prices, they really dont give a damn about them
