Rotten Tomatoes currently has the movie at 43%. I'm hoping that the film isn't nearly as bad as critics are rating it because the cast has me pretty much blown away alone.

It's one of those "turn your brain off and watch the blood flow and limbs fly" kind of movies. I will say however, that each star carried his weight in acting. Even if it wasn't a very heavy load.

This looks awful. Same as Transformers 2, bunch of action & no plot.

This looks awful. Same as Transformers 2, bunch of action & no plot. I thought this was common knowledge. There is a plot though so its not all random. If I wanted to see great acting and storytelling, I'll go see Inception. But I went to see insanely awesome explosions, fight scenes, and an all star action cast come together probably only once, maybe twice. The movie delivered HUGE in that respect. That's why people like it, in my opinion. We know we're not going to see a 5 star acting performance or a thick plot, so we don't get our hopes up for that.

I'm not a movie guy so I really only wanna see this for Randy so is it worth it? Does he have a big part? Randy doesn't have a big part, but his character is him just jacked up obviously. An intelligent guy who thinks a lot. He only has a few lines in the whole thing as he was mostly used for fight scenes. His longest lines were a story about his cauliflower ears(he said he got them in college wrestling, the truth). Overall, No, he doesn't have a big part. But he did kill a few people and had a pretty good fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Just thought I'd throw that out there. OH, Rodrigo Nogueira was in there as well.

Damn....Terry Crews got JACKED for this movie.
This was a good movie. I like seeing movies where people get shot up so bad they get turned into little pieces of bubble gum.

It's not the "best" film acting and plot wise, but to me this was film of the year. I've seen Iron Man 2, Inception, Shutter Island, and a few other films in the course of this year and the Expendables is my pick for film of the year. The goddamn thing was like ing Christmas to me. Only Iron Man 2 comes close to this in my eyes, I mean I did see IM2 3 times in the course of a week, but nothing's going to top the Expendables. Now bring on Machete!!!

This destroyed Scott Pilgrim at the box office. It did, and unfairly, in my opinion. Having seen both films, Scott Pilgrim is miles better. I now wait for the onslaught of abuse I'm going to get.

The truth is everyone is sick of Michael Cera and his "I'm an awkward high-school kid" character that he does in EVERY film. Scott Pilgrim might be the "better" film, but Cera is getting very Adam Sandler-like in the way he picks his roles. Infact Adam Sandler and Michael Cera should do an awkward film where they both overcome the odds and get the chick at the end.

The thing is, although he does do the same film roles a lot of the time, he's atleast marginally differant in Scott Pilgrim. I do like Michael Cera, though, so I'm not the best guy to ask. Oh, and just for the record, I absolutely despise Adam Sandler. I think he's the absolute worst actor in Hollywood.

Scott Pilgrim is an overhyped fan boy movie that is unable to connect with mainstream audiances, and it will barely make its budget back I still really wanna see it The phrase 'overhyped' differs from person to person. For someone that hasn't seen it, or doesn't want to, sure, it's probably overhyped, but having hyped it myself for a good while (around 10 months) and having seen it, I don't believe it's overhyped as it's a truly fantastic movie. You are, however, correct about the budget bit, unfortunatly. It bombed it's first week at the US box office, and I doubt it's gunna do all that well over here. I also disagree about the 'fanboy' and that it can't 'connect with mainstream audiances'. Sure, it may look it, and to get maximum enjoyment out of it, you have to be a fan boy and have knowledge of old school beat-em-up arcade style video games, but it's got enough laughs in it to eb able to get it over with adult audiances. Theres not so much there for kids, but for adults, it ticks all the boxes.

Saw this today....WOW. Fun movie, tons of action. Sly was at his best and I've always loved Jason Satham. I love action flicks with a simple plot that doesn't require me to think about every little twist and turn that happens. This is easily one of my favorite action movies, just loved it from start to finish. GREAT movie, highly recommend it. Critics can kiss my ass, they never give any movies like this good reviews.

You shouldnt be abused. You should be castrated and have your man card taken away for lack of manliness.
