Why was he their manager?
What possessed whoever made the decision to make that decision?

Samu and Fatu next appeared in Texas, working for Fritz Von Erich’s World Class Championship Wrestling promotion. The storyline was that Buddy Roberts brought the team in to fight his fights against the Von Erich Family and former Fabulous Freebirds partner Michael Hayes.

I think he was at the end of his wrestling career & wanted to focus more on managing. He did participate in a few 6 man tag matches with the SST, but he didn't do much else once they left.
Personally, my favorite SST match in WCCW was against Kamala & Kamala 2. This was one of the first times they had 2 heel teams facing each other.
