What do you guys think of him? I feel he is one of wrestlings all time greats. However he was so badly treated in WWE. He should have had a WWE Title reign but unfortunately he was mostly in lowercard feuds and in the end became a jobber to the stars. What do you think of him?

Had the most awesome RAW debut ever, thought he was a banker for a WWF title run at some point during 1996, however I wasn't aware of the power of the kliq at the time.

His matches with Stan Hansen (Japan or even WCW), Sting, Cactus Jack and Ric Flair were great. I would put money that he's the best big man in wrestling. Ever.
Big Van Vader is awesome. WWF screwed him up something terrible.

the best big man in wrestling history. the guy was as tough as anyone and the fact wwe screwed him over still pisses me off. that guy had all the talent in the world. i've never seen any other guy his size do a moonsault and doubt i will again.

He should have NEVER.....EVER went to the WWE. They made a complete joke out of him and ruined any momentum he had in the United States.

I think that was the start of his downfall, and HBK refusing to drop the title to him was the nail in the coffin. He could have been huge in the States, no doubt about it, but politics brought him down.

Was it really WWE's fault that he wasn't used to his potential? From what I hear by the time he came into the WWE his knees were shot, and the whole Baghdad, of course you add in the HBK thing and Vader was going nowhere.

yes his time with Fab Vinnie wasnt great but Hogan started the rot with Vader.......Vinnie made him look unstoppable until Summerslam 96......all went wrong from there.
as Vader says on his shoot why would anyone pay to see him fight Hogan a third time when he lost clean twice already?it wasnt like his Sting feud where they traded victories and Sting was portrayed as a massve underdog.

His WCW run was amazing, but everything after that just destroyed him.

To be fair, he was nearing the end of his career as a tp guy even before going to WWE, with all of his injuries.
Granted, he should beaten HBK for the title at summerslam 96. Aside from that I think he did ok. He made a large some of money and got to wrestle on the biggest stage of them all.
You know, now that I think about it... I really wish it had been him and Taker for the title at Wrestlemania 13. That would have been awesome.

my dream scenario was for him to defeat HBK at Summerslam and then go undefeated as champ beating Bret,Sid,UT and whoever else until WM13 when HBK wins it back.
that way we still get the magnificent superheated Austin vs Hart on the undercard.

Vader was always one of my favorites. I would have liked to see a PPV with them against each other. I do not know how anyone beat him with his offense and size.
