I just got it in the mail today and am currently watching Wrestlemania 11 (Lex Luger & the British Bulldog vs Jacob & Eli Blu ??). I'm starting to watch a lot of classic stuff lately thanks to Steamboat/Savage at WMIII. Well, I was wondering if you guys could recommend some matches to look out for.
I know of the big ones like the Ironman match between HBK and Bret and Rock and Austin 1 and so on, but are there some hidden gems out there? Btw, it's from 'Mania 11 to 15. Thanks.

The first match between The Undertaker and Kane is a good one. A little slow for some folks out there, but a good one in my eyes.

The first match between The Undertaker and Kane is a good one. A little slow for some folks out there, but a good one in my eyes. This match is also great, but I feel if you weren't able to live through watching the storyline progress week after week, the match wouldn't be as special. Shawn Michaels versus Bret Hart Wrestlemania XII is another classic, but recently a lot of people decided they hate that match. Steve Austin versus Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania XIV is pretty good too, especially considering Shawn Michaels had a broken back. Wrestlemania XV has nothing that special. I liked Big Bossman versus the Undertaker when I was younger, but it is actually not that good of a match. Austin versus Rock is a decent contest, but not their best. Actually, Wrestlemania XV is pretty bad.

Thanks for all the recommendations guys. I can't wait to watch Austin/Bret.
On a side note, I just watched the Wrestlemania 12 match between HHH and Warrior and it was such a letdown. It lasted about 5 minutes with Warrior completely destroying HHH. What was the story between this match? Like how it came to be? They made it seem like it was his first appearance during his return.

If I remember correctly, the Ultimate Warrior's return was a surprise. They wanted to capitalize on his popularity from yesteryear, so they brought him back hoping to increase ratings. It doesn't work out well and he is once again released within months.

Wrestlemania 11: Shawn Michaels vs. Diesel is pretty good. Not a classic by any means but it's a good watch. Wrestlemania 12: Savio Vega vs. Steve Austin is a fantastic match. Those two have great chemistry together. Wrestlemania 13: Other than the obvious Bret vs. Austin, the Legion of Doom and Ahmed Johnson against the Nation of Domination was fun, in a street fight. Wrestlemania 14: Shawn Michaels vs. Steve Austin is a great match, especially considering how completely ed Shawn's back was at that point. You could just tell how much pain he was in with every move he performed. Triple H vs. Owen Hart is a good watch, as well. Wrestlemania 15: Shane McMahon vs. X-Pac pretty good, considering it was Shane's first big match.

It doesn't work out well and he is once again released within months. It wasnt really a "surprise". Piper was the president at the time and was going to bring him back and they kept showing clips of him in the past building him up. Of course nobody had seen Warrior in years so people like McMahon and Lawler would say things like he's gained 100lbs, hes fat and bald, Warrior is actually dead etc.

Very little WWF/E related for my money. The real good stuff was always in the NWA in the 80's. Look up Tully Blanchard vs Magnum T.A. I quit from Starrcade 85. Any match between The Rock and Roll Express vs The Midnight Express. Wargames 1 from July 4th at the Omni in Atlanta on the Great American Bash 87 tape. Hell just watch the NWA from 85 to 90 and you will find a ton of great matches and feuds that blow anything away from the WWE now and then.

I will agree that the NWA was the glory days of wrestling but WWF from 87-92 was pretty great stuff. It was just to a different degree.

WM XI: The Smoking Gunns vs. Owen Hart and Yokozuna is the best match at the show.
WM XII: Seconding Diesel/Undertaker. Probably one of Kevin Nash's best matches.
WM XII: Not in love with Bret/Shawn it really doesn't hold up today and the first 50 minutes is a big snoozefest to me. Really why even make it an iron man match in the first place if there were no pin falls in the first 60 minutes anyways? They should have just had a regular match where time expired and then was extended.
WM XIII: Agreeing whole heatedly with Austin/Bret (my favorite WM match ever) and the 6 man tag that follows isn't bad either.
WM XIV: Taka vs. Aguila for the Light Heavyweight title is actually a pretty entertaining match with a lot of spots you wouldn't normally see in the WWF/E.
WM XIV: The New Age Outlaws vs. Chainsaw Charlie and Cactus Jack is a really fun match.
WM XV: Kane vs. Triple H is much better than the previous year's Undertaker/Kane match IMO.
WM XV: Austin/Rock is actually a pretty excellent match.

Oh my goodness, no one in this topic ha mentioned Taka Michinoku vs. Aguila for the Light Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 14. That match is an absolute gem, nobody ever mentions.
