I think if you enjoyed MW2 then you will be happy because honestly it looks exactly like it. I think the game will be fun for a bit, but I expect balance issues. I am not a fan of the stackable killstreaks again. I hope the support killstreak package will offer more true competitive balance and stray away from those games where it's just one guy that dominates the game.

Hey guys, I posted this article over at my website and figured it was interesting enough to post here. Hope ya'll enjoy!
-----
There have been no shortage of critics and cynics for the upcoming blockbuster game “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3”. From Battlefield fans to anti-COD fans to just nay-sayers in general, there’s a lot of venom being thrown at this game. One of the most-common complaints however, one that has in fact been voiced even by members of the Call of Duty community, is that Modern Warfare 3 looks and seems to play almost identically to Modern Warfare 2. In a recent interview, though, Sledgehammer Games strongly denies this. Here are all the highlights.
Here are some of the best quotes from a recent article over at IGN: “If you put Modern Warfare 2 next to Modern Warfare 3 you would see a huge difference… There is so much that we've added, so when someone says 'cut and paste', I don't even want to talk to them because they don't know. They just don't know… I've said this before - I'm not shipping an engine, I'm shipping a game. So that's why I'm going to talk about the game. You can talk about your engine all you want. It's not fun.”
My COD fanboyishness has been well-known for some time now, but this is one of the rare cases where I do disagree with a member of the development team. I think it is absolutely important to compare the previous Call of Duty title to the latest one.
I’ll go one step further: it’s just about one of the most important things we, as gamers, have to do.
Of course it’s important that Modern Warfare 2 be different from Modern Warfare 3. I get that it’s the same engine, and that it’s bound to play somewhat similarly. I think that’s perfectly fine, so long as it’s not that dreaded “copy and paste” that everyone keeps talking about. Because here’s the thing: if we’re just supposed to blindly accept on faith that MW3 will be different from MW2, it’s going to get to a point where the Call of Duty series is nothing more than most sports video game franchises: instead of games that are just glorified roster updates, it’ll be games that are just glorified guns and perks updates.
Several gamers feel that way already, although I think there’s been quite a lot of diversity even though Call of Duty is now a yearly franchise. But when you become a yearly franchise, every year you’re on a slippery slope. Since the Call of Duty series is split between two developers, each developer gets two years so they’re more likely to keep things fresh and interesting.
Bt if we don’t raise these concerns, if we don’t point out that MW3 seems to look and play a lot like MW2, eventually the developers might start thinking that if we don’t care, neither should they. They have their deadlines, after all.
My point is this: if we stop being concerned that the games are too similar, eventually they’re going to become too similar. It’s up to us to point this stuff out so we let the developers know that we’re watching their product and that they have to give us something new and engaging in order to get our money. This is one of the rare instances where I’m proud to say “don’t stop arguing”.

Activision teaming with PepsiCO kinda ruined this for me, WHY WOULD YOU GIVE DOUBLE EXP FOR BUYING POP??? Its Stupid, But i gotta tell ya Activision is draining more money from MW3 then McMahon does with Cena. Activision is coming out with glasses for "Advanced Gameplay" they also went through extreme lengths as to having an actual jeep with a MW3 theme. It annoys me. On the brighter side I can't wait to play it

For today's Call Of Duty commentary, I give my thoughts on what makes Search and Destroy equally amazing and infuriating. SnD remains one of the most-popular but also one of the most-controversial game types in Call of Duty, and I think I know why that is. CoD in general is always a battle between the highs of doing well and the lows of doing poorly, and SnD compounds all of that thanks to its single-life mechanic. I'm sure all the trash-talking that can emerge doesn't help, but then again, that's a debate for another day.

For today's Call of Duty commentary, I start my countdown of my top 5 favorite shows on television. At number five is Dexter, at number four is Boardwalk Empire. Despite the fact that both shows are very different, a combination of strong writing, an interesting premise that is continually handled well, and some awesome actors makes both shows must-watch TV week in and week out.

For today's Call of Duty commentary, I continue my countdown of my top 5 favorite shows on television. Number three is Psych, one of the best comedy shows on television. Number two is The Walking Dead, a series that hits close to home since I'm such a massive fan of the zombie genre. And at #1 we have Breaking Bad, which I consider one of the greatest television shows ever.
Game Type: Domination on Radiation Score for this game: 30 Kills/10 Deaths (3.0 K/D), 0 captures, 5 defends.

Battlefield 3 may have swayed me away from MW3. I knew the multiplayer would be a blast, but I didn't think I would have this much fun.

For today's Call of Duty commentary, I talk about the joys and perks of gaming with friends, as well as some random thoughts on Capture the Flag. I also joke about going "super duper beast mode" (hence the title of the video) in a lobby that was filled with low-level players and at least one AFK guy. But hey, I had fun. It is what it is, and so long as you don't take yourself too seriously, who doesn't enjoy a good pubstomp?
Game Type: Capture The Flag on Villa Score for this game: 23 Kills/2 Deaths (11.5 K/D), 0 captures, 1 defends.
