Holy crapyou gave the belt to Foley! I love it man, good start to heat with the intense promo. I can imagine Mankind running around haha Scorpio/Christopher would have been a solid match and continues the feud with the countout decision. Regal's streak over is cool and to Hart no less. Jericho/Regal make an interesting pair to say the least. Cool promo from the Outlaws and even better win for Road Dogg. Makes sense for Austin to go over in the main event and we are heading into the Rumble with some fire! Keep it up Penguin!

WWF @ Houston, TX- Compaq Center - January 11, 1999 RAW is WAR opens up with a video highlighting last week’s broadcast. It featured the opening segment of the Corporation trying to launch an assault onto Stone Cold, only for Mankind to make the save. It skipped to the ending of the Intercontinental Championship match, where Austin hit Triple H with a steel chair, allowing Val to hit the Money Shot and collect his first championship in the WWF. Finally it reached the main event as the Corporation circled the ring for the No DQ WWF Championship match between Mankind and the Undertaker. All hell broke lose as Stone Cold came out and replaced Mr. McMahon, the guest referee, with Earl Hebner. DX tried to interfere, but the New Age Outlaws stopped them! Foley hit the Double Arm DDT on the Undertaker, getting the victory! The video ended with Austin flipping off McMahon, Undertaker trying to get to the Corporation and Austin, and finally Mankind celebrating with the WWF Championship and all the faces in the ring.
The pyro shoots off and we are greeted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. They talked about the Royal Rumble being next Sunday, and they have a new WWF Champion! JR noted of the match that was made on HeAT for the Rumble as Mankind will now defend his newly won WWF Championship in a Last Man Standing match against the Undertaker. The duo talked about what was in store for us tonight, including the Corporate Team’s Rob Van Dam going against Ken Shamrock, the new Intercontinental Champion Val Venis in action against D-Generation X’s Sean Waltman, and “Double J” Jeff Jarrett takes on the Road Dogg! The excitement in the air quickly dies down as the Corporation, including Triple H and Waltman, make their way out to the ring.
Mr. McMahon has a microphone and says last week was a rather miserable week for the Corporation. He says it has became rather apparent that they have lost all control over the WWF, and he commands for Commissioner Slaughter to come out to the ring. After a few seconds Slaughter makes his way out and Vince instantly starts to berate him. He says RAW has practically turned into an all out anarchy, and he’s done nothing to stop it! Countless wrestlers are being assaulted and people are constantly interfering in matches. Slaughter can’t say anything as Vince continues on, saying he hired him to keep this place in check, but he has failed. “It is time for the Corporation to take full control of the show, Slaughter - you’re fired!” Slaughter can’t believe it as security comes out to escort him away. As soon as that’s settled, McMahon turns his attention to Hunter and Waltman. He tells them he ordered the both of them to take care of the Outlaws, and just last week they ended up costing the Undertaker the WWF Championship, and now that idiot Mankind is the champion! Vince turns away from DX as he focuses on Stone Cold Steve Austin. He says it has also come to mind that Mick and Stone Cold were once bitter rivals back in the Summer, but now they have formed a loose alliance to make his life a living hell. McMahon assures them two can play at that game, and since they want to team up so bad, they can do just that tonight against none other than Kane and the Big Show! The crowd boos as the rest of the Corporate team clap at the announcement. Suddenly, the theme of former WWF Champion, the Undertaker, hits as “the Phenom” appears on the titantron. He tells the Corporation later on tonight he plans to extract his revenge on both Mankind and Steve Austin, but he wants to make sure the Corporation doesn’t forget their hand in the loss of his WWF Championship - and the stern consequences about to come their way. ‘Taker snares before his image disappears, leaving the Corporation in a frenzy in the ring.
Break
RAW is WAR comes back with a replay of the Undertaker’s message to the Corporation. What does the former WWF Champion have in store for both the Corporation and Steve Austin and Mankind?
Rob Van Dam(w/Shane McMahon) def. Ken Shamrock: Shamrock was getting in the “zone”, but was distracted by Debra on the stage. Van Dam snuck up behind him and got the roll up for the three!
The crowd booed as RVD scrammed from the ring and met up with Shane. Shane and RVD celebrated the victory on the outside as Ken was infuriated. Debra smirked before being greeted by Shane and Van Dam on the stage; apparently Jarrett and Shane have found a secret weapon to take out Shamrock!
Backstage Kevin Kelly is in the locker room with Owen Hart. Kevin asks for Owen’s thoughts on his rematch with Steven Regal up next - and the situation with “Y2J” Chris Jericho. Owen tells Kevin Steven Regal has been running his mouth a lot recently, epically after his loss last week. He says he looks forward to finally shutting up the “Lord of the WWF” up next! Owen turns his attention to Jericho, saying enough is enough with his crap. Hart continues, saying Jericho has been making his life a living hell over the past month, so he wants to finish this off. Owen says next week is the Royal Rumble, and he is officially challenging Chris Jericho to a match! Hart caps off the interview, saying the “Y2J” problem will be nothing compared to the Owen Hart problem!
Break
Footage from the parking lot moments ago shows a black pick up arriving to the arena and Stone Cold Steve Austin stepping out from the truck. Austin looks into the camera, talking about how he heard he’s got a tag match with Mankind against the Corporation tonight. He says he’s looking forward to opening up a can of whoop ass on Kane and the Big Show tonight, but first he’s got to pay the new WWF Champion a visit. And that’s the bottom line, because Stone Cold said so! Austin and Mick Foley team up tonight, but as of right now Stone Cold is hunting for his tag partner!
Back in the arena JR and the King discuss what we just saw from Stone Cold before they are joined by Chris Jericho for the next match, who informed them he’d accept the match if Owen Hart could beat Steven Regal!
Owen Hart def. Steven Regal: Hart proved his victory over Regal on HeAT was not a fluke and finished Regal off with a Reverse Piledriver.
Jericho threw his headset down onto the table out of frustration as Owen Hart celebrated the victory. During the midst of the celebration Jericho took a microphone and told Owen their match for the Royal Rumble was on! The crowd cheered before warning Owen he does not know the full severity of the “Y2J” problem, but he will never EVER forgot come the Royal Rumble! Owen invited Jericho into the ring, but he refused and headed to the back.
The cameras head backstage again to a massive commotion in the back. Steve Blackman and the Dudley Boyz are standing by with a bunch of referees as staff check on TAKA Michinoku, who was scheduled to team with Blackman against the Acolytes up next. TAKA was taken away off on a stretcher as Briscoe and Patterson appeared, informing Blackman they will not allow either of the Dudleyz as a replacement partner. The three are clearly upset, but Steve assures the Dudleyz he’ll be fine.
Break
The Royal Rumble is live on pay per view January 24th. 30 superstars compete in the annual Royal Rumble match for a chance to main event WrestleMania 15 against the World Wrestling Federation Champion. Following the advertisement the current Royal Rumble card is ran down, including the Royal Rumble match; Sable defending the WWF Woman’s Championship against Jacqueline; Chris Jericho versus Owen Hart; The Dudleyz get a last chance at the WWF Tag Team Championships versus the Acolytes in a Falls Count Anywhere match; And finally Mankind will defend the World Wrestling Federation Championship in a Last Man Standing match against the Undertaker!
Non-title; Tag Team Champions the Acolytes(w/Al Snow and the Jackyl) def. Steve Blackman: Clearly something shady was going on as Blackman was forced into the handicap situation. Despite a valiant effort, Blackman was put away by a double Powerbomb.
Jeers filled the arena as Hell’s Henchmen weren’t quite finished yet. The Acolytes held Blackman up as the Hardcore Champion delivered shot after shot to his former tag team partner. The Dudleyz ran out to the ring for the save, but were quickly leveled by some cheap shots upon entering the ring. The tag champs dumped D-Von from the ring before Bradshaw took Bubba out with a Clothesline from Hell. Suddenly the champs took Blackman and dragged him up to the stage. Al and Jackyl looked on as the Acolytes powerbombed Steve off the stage through a table! The crowd gasped as Hell’s Henchmen stood tall, laying waste to all their opposition!
Break
Following the commercials RAW returns with a replay of the freighting sight of the Acolytes power bombing Steve Blackman off the stage after a handicap match, JR calling the whole thing a set up.
In the WWF Slam of the Week, we are taken back to last week’s RAW is WAR where Stone Cold cost Triple H the Intercontinental Championship by hitting him with a steel chair, allowing Venis to hit him with the Money Shot for the win!
Non-title; Intercontinental Champion Val Venis def. Sean Waltman(w/Chyna) VIA DQ: Chyna finally snapped tonight when Val gyrated right in front of her, causing her to hit him with a sucker punch!
The referee called for the bell as Val stumbled to the floor. Chyna looked down at him, but he looked up at her, smirking. Chyna was confused as Val simply winked at her! The crowd popped as Waltman came back out, pushing her back. When it seemed like Venis and Sean would go at it, the referee became in between them. DX left to the back as Venis continued to stare at Chyna with a devious smirk!
When Waltman and Chyna go through the curtain, they are greeted by Triple H. Waltman tells Hunter he’s got the whole thing with the Intercontinental Championship covered, so now he can take care of Stone Cold. Triple H tells him that’s not what he wanted to talk about before saying he wanted to talk about the Outlaws instead. Waltman looked intrigued as RAW is WAR went to commercial.
Break
The WWF Champion, Mankind, is shown in his locker room with Mr. Socko and the WWF Championship. Suddenly, Steve Austin walks into the room as Foley starts to greet him, but using Mr. Socko. Stone Cold is clearly not amused by Socko and says “take that stupid sock puppet off and talk to me like a man.” Mankind stands up and drapes the championship around his shoulder as Austin tells him tonight they’re tag team partners, and just like last week they’re going to whoop the Corporation’s ass! Stone Cold also says that’s just for tonight, because next Sunday is the Royal Rumble. Austin says he was screwed out of that title months ago, and he doesn’t give a damn if it is indeed him [Mankind] he has to face at WrestleMania. The bottom line is Stone Cold Steve Austin is walking out of WrestleMania the WWF Champion! Mankind smirks and simply tells Austin he looks forward to the night their paths cross again, but they need to make one thing clear - their most important goal is to take out McMahon and his Corporation! Stone Cold simply nods his head and leaves the room.
We turn it back over the Jim Ross and Jerry “the King” Lawler, who talk about a few things still to come tonight. They include “Double J” Jeff Jarrett taking on the Road Dogg of the Outlaws; Andrew Martin going one on one with European Champion D-Lo Brown; and in the main event Stone Cold Steve Austin and WWF Champion Mankind will team up against the Corporate Team’s Big Show and Kane, but we know that the Undertaker has a very close eye on this match!
Jeff Jarrett(w/Debra and Shane McMahon) def. Road Dogg(w/Billy Gunn): With Debra distracting the referee, Jarrett smacked Road Dogg in the head with a guitar and stole the victory.
For the second time tonight the Corporation stole a victory as “Double J” slid out of the ring. The trio left as Gunn checked on his tag team partner, who was holding his throat after the guitar shot. As Jarrett, Debra, and Shane left, the rest of D-Generation X walked out to the stage. Triple H held a microphone in hand and told the Outlaws they really, and he means REALLY, screwed up last week when they practically handed Mankind the WWF Championship. Jesse James was still holding his throat as they looked up at the stage, Hunter continuing. He said he’s giving them an ultimatum for next week. Either they can finally accept McMahon’s intentions, or they can cut their ties with DX! The crowd boos as Hunter, Waltman, and Chyna leave; Gunn quickly chasing after them while refs tended to Road Dogg.
Break
A replay of the ultimatum Triple H just gave the Outlaws is shown before some commercial break footage is shown with doctors checking on Road Dogg while examining his throat.
The theme song of European Champion D-Lo Brown hits as he makes his way out with Mark Henry. D-Lo has a microphone and says he finally figured out why the Godfather has such a problem with him and his man. Ever since the Nation broke apart they’ve reach new heights that Godfather could have never imagined. For example, he says, he is the European Champion! The crowd boos as D-Lo says Godfather better recognize, because even though pimping might not be easy, he sure proved sucking is! D-Lo grins and drops the microphone before their opponents make their way out.
The Godfather and Andrew Martin(w/Hos) def. European Champion D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry: Godfather continued his roll as when Martin and Henry brawled to the outside, he finished off the champ with the Pimp Drop!
The crowd cheered as Godfather celebrated his victory with the Hos. Martin and Henry were still going at it on the outside before referees broke them apart. Back in the ring Godfather took D-Lo’s European Championship and raised it in the air before dropping it on his chest; leaving with the Ho Train.
Still to come our way tonight, Stone Cold and WWF Champion Mankind team up against the Corporation’s Kane and Big Show.
Break
We are taken back to last week’s match with the Rock and Kane where it ended in a No Contest following the Rock being chokeslammed through the table. Following the clip Michael Cole is shown standing by with “The Great One” himself. The crowd goes wild as Cole asks for the Rock’s opinions on Kane and last week’s attack. “You know something Michael Cole, because of what Kane did last week the Rock could not go out there and electrify the millions and millions of the Rock’s fans, but that doesn’t matter. Next week might be the Royal Rumble, but the Rock just can’t wait that long, he wants Kane to go one on one with “The Great One” next week on RAW is WAR!” The crowd pops as Rock adds on Kane has gotten out of control recently after he cost him the Corporate Rumble, but next week the Rock is going to take the “Big Red intellectually- disabled person” right down Know Your Role Boulevard, off the corner of Jabroni Drive, and check his ass into the Smackdown hotel! Before the Rock can finish Shane McMahon interrupts him, saying the Rock may have a point with Kane being out of control. Shane assures him that will all be taken care of next week with the arrival of a certain someone, but for his challenge, he will accept on behalf of Kane! The fans cheer again as the Rock tells Shane he doesn’t give a damn who’s in Kane’s corner next week, he is going to whoop his roody poo candy ass one way or another, if you smell what the Rock is cooking! Shane just smiles and shrugs before leaving the room, the Rock never taking his eyes off of him.
Jacqueline(w/Luna Vachon) def. Ivory(w/Sable): The number one contender picked up some great moment, finish off Sable’s friend with a Tornado DDT.
Following the contest Luna and Jacqueline stood tall in the ring, one step closer to accomplishing their goal of ridding the WWF of Sable. The Woman’s Champion assisted her friend out of the ring as Jacqueline motioned the title would be hers come the Royal Rumble.
Backstage in Mr. McMahon’s private lounge, McMahon is talking to the Big Show and Kane. He’s focusing on Kane, saying he has a special task for him. Making sure Mankind loses the WWF Championship as quickly as possible. Vince says he doesn’t give a damn what the Undertaker says, he can’t have that “idiot” Mick Foley running around with the WWF Championship! Vince turns to the Big Show, saying he has similar job for him. He says Stone Cold Steve Austin has only been back a week and he has already caused hell to break loose on his show. He tells the Big Show he wants him to make Stone Cold does not make it WrestleMania, no matter who wins the Royal Rumble. Show agrees and McMahon leads the troops out of the room, our main event is up next.
Break
Stone Cold Steve Austin and WWF Champion Mankind def. the Big Show and Kane(w/Mr. McMahon) VIA DQ: The match ended in a DQ finish when none other than the Undertaker came out an attacked Mankind!
The crowd hissed at ‘Taker as he threw the WWF champion straight into the ring post. Foley was down, but then Austin went after the Undertaker! The audience went nuts as Austin threw the “Phenom” into the ring, the two men trading shots in the center. Undertaker started to gain control of the fight, but Mick Foley slid back into the ring and smacked him in the back with a chair! Foley tossed the chair out of the ring as he started to work on ‘Taker with the help of Austin. Just then the Corporation came to Undertaker’s rescue, Big Show hitting a Chokeslam on Austin, and Kane hitting one on Mankind! Jeers filled the arena as both Stone Cold and the WWF Champion were laid out, Undertaker getting out of his gazed state. McMahon ordered his men to leave the ring and they did, leaving the Undertaker confused standing alone above the bodies of his rivals!

First of all, really happy to see Mankind with the WWF Championship. Loved the opening segment, especially the Undertaker stuff. Can't wait to see what goes down there. Rob Van Dam in the Corporation is great, and a nice victory over Ken Shamrock. Interesting that Shamrock is distracted by Debra. A nice victory for Owen Hart, will be interesting to see where he goes from here with Chris Jericho. An obvious win for the Acolytes, Blackman was never winning this one. Even with the help of the Dudley's, Hell's Henchman are looking strong. Love seeing Venis as the Intercontinental Champion, and a good way to keep him strong with the DQ victory. Classic Jarrett win over the Road Dogg with the guitar. Debra is proving to be quite the distraction tonight. I hope the Outlaws reject the offer and go it alone. Good tag team match, would love to see The Godfather take the European Championship, but I'm a big D'Lo fan too. The Rock and Kane next week should be grand. Simple Divas match here. Obvious finish for the Main Event thanks to the Undertaker. Not sure where it leaves his position with the Corporation at the moment. Unusual finish. Overall, a good show. Just a few things you might want to check through though, spelling and grammar wise. But other than that, I'm glad you're keeping to this. Deserving of the spotlight for sure.

Quite the line up for tonight's show. Good opening with Vince McMahon and the Corporation. Good victory for Rob Van Dam over Ken Shamrock in the opening contest, and I do like the advancement of the Shamrock/Jarrett feud here. Nice for Owen to get some momentum over Steven Regal, along with the confirmation of the match against Jericho at the Royal Rumble. That's certainly something to look forward to. Poor Blackman, mauled by the Acolytes. They looked damn strong here. As I said last week, I am really glad that Venis picked up the Intercontinental Championship and am hoping to see him do great things with it. But damn is he freaky towards Chyna. Another Debra-distraction victory tonight, but for Jarrett this time. Is anyone on the roster puppy immune? I really hope the New Age Outlaws go on their own, and maybe something along the lines of them against Hunter and Waltman at 'Mania. A solid victory for The Godfather and Martin, though I am saddened to see D-Lo and Henry take a loss. Looks like we have our next challenger for the WWF European Championship. Rock and Kane next week? Nice., interested in seeing who takes the momentum heading into the Rumble. Simple match for Jacqueline to grab some momentum, still I can't see Sable dropping the title just yet. Lastly, quite the chaotic finish to the main event. Intrigued by the Corporation's assistance here. Corporate Deadman, perhaps?

WWF @ Houston, TX- Compaq Center - January 17, 1999 Following the opening video for Sunday Night HeAT, we are welcomed to the show by Shane McMahon and Michael Cole. They talk about the fact we’re only one week away from the Royal Rumble, and tonight we’re getting a preview in an Over the Top Rope Challenge match between Bill Gunn, Hardcore Champion Al Snow, Triple H, and Edge. Speaking of Edge, we will hear from him, Gangrel, and Christian tonight! Other action in the ring includes Scorpio taking on one half of Too Much in Scott Taylor, and then “Y2J” Chris Jericho will be competing later on. Also tonight, we will hear from Stone Cold Steve Austin about the events on RAW is WAR and the Royal Rumble next Sunday. As Scorpio was making his way out to the ring for his match against Scott Taylor, we are shown a replay of Brian Christopher walking out on his Light Heavyweight Championship defense last week on the live edition of Sunday Night HeAT. Scorpio def. Scott Taylor(w/Brian Christopher): Scorpio picked up some crucial momentum as he finished of one half of Too Much with the 450 Splash! The crowd popped as Scorpio leaped to the top turnbuckle, celebrating his victory. The Light Heavyweight Champion wasn’t so pleased as he got in the ring and smacked Scorpio in the back of the head with the title! Jeers filled the arena as Taylor got back up to his feet, Too Much putting the boots to their rival. As time went on the assault seemed to become more and more aggressive, so referees finally stepped in. They jerked them out of the corner, but Christopher seemed satisfied already. He smirked and picked up his title before leaving the ring. BreakIn the ring Kevin Kelly is standing by with a microphone. He says he would like to introduce his guests at this time: Gangrel, Christian, and Edge. The trio made their way out to the ring and once they entered, Kevin introduced them to a replay of RAW is WAR last week. It showed the match between Gangrel and Edge, where Christian interfered, allowing Gangrel to win; which also forced Edge to join them. Following that, it cuts to the part where Christian and Gangrel proceeded to beat down Edge in the ring. Kevin said the three of them have been silent for the past few months they‘ve been here, and now is the time to break their salience. Gangrel started, saying he’ll be the one doing the talking for “The Brood.” He says what he and Christian did on RAW is WAR was an initiation for Edge, and now that Edge is with them everything is finally complete. Gangrel says it was only fate for the three of them to align together… that it was only a matter of time before Edge would understand their power. Gangrel snatched the microphone from Kelly and handed it to Edge. Edge didn’t know what to do at first, but Gangrel gave him a look of one that said “do what I told you.” Edge finally broke his silence and he found the power within him, and now he understands. He says it’s only a matter of time before everyone understands the power, and they live the life the way they do because they are who they are. The fans cheer for Edge, unlike for Gangrel and Christian, as the Brood leaves the ring. Once the Brood left the ring Southern Supremacy made their way out and a pre recorded segment from them aired. Jim Cornette did the talking, saying he had laid a challenge down to the Hardy Brothers and they accepted; the losing team of this match would disband! The Hardy Brothers def. Southern Supremacy(w/Jim Cornette): With such high implications in this match, tensions were high, and Bob Holly randomly left his partner high and dry! Bart was quickly finished off by the Swanton from Jeff. Jim Cornette couldn’t believe what just happened as Bob Holly was long gone. The Hardy Brothers, on the other hand, took to opposite turnbuckles to celebrate. The crowd applauded, and clearly the exciting Hardy duo is picking up steam and support in the WWF! Still to come tonight, an Over the Top Rope Challenge and we’ll hear from Stone Cold Steve Austin! BreakThe Royal Rumble is live on pay per view January 24th. Following the advertisement the theme song of D-Generation X hit over the PA system to loud boos as Agulia was already in the ring. Only two members came out this time as Chyna and Sean Waltman ascended to the stage. Waltman had a microphone and said Val Venis has been causing nothing but trouble for D-Generation X over the past two months. He also said instead of Triple H cashing in his rematch, he’ll do it for him, so next Sunday at the Rumble he wants Venis for the title! Cole augured they can’t do that, but Shane insisted friends of the Corporation could do whatever they wanted, and DX never plays by the rules! After Sean was done, Chyna took the microphone. She said Val Venis has humiliated her too many teams recently, so she wants him in the ring tomorrow on RAW is WAR! The crowd popped as DX left, Chris Jericho making his entrance. Chris Jericho def. Agulia: Jericho quickly finished off the Light Heavyweight with the Walls of Jericho in just about two minutes. After the bell rang Jericho still didn’t let go of the hold. The referee began a five count and Jericho finally let go at a count of four. Chris then ordered the referee to raise his hand, and he complied. He looked in the camera and said “Owen, you can’t stop the Y2J Problem, just like nobody can resist Chris Jericho!” He smirked and left the ring. BreakA video highlighting the RAW is WAR broadcast on Monday is aired. It started with the opening segment of the Corporation in the ring and Mr. McMahon actually firing Commissioner Slaughter after last week’s RAW main event. Suddenly, the Corporation’s mic is cut off short by the Undertaker, who appears on the titantron. “The Phenom” warns Vince and the Corporation he plans on extracting his revenge on Mankind and Steve Austin tonight, but he still has his eyes on the Corporate Team! Fast forward to the main event, Stone Cold is teaming with the WWF Champion against Kane and the Big Show. The Undertaker makes his presence felt during the match, attacking both Austin and Foley. Eventually they team up and put a number on the former WWF Champ, but Kane and the Big Show come to the rescue, hitting both men with Chokeslams! The video ends as Undertaker stands alone in the ring as the Corporation seemed satisfied, has Mr. McMahon finally gotten through to him? Following the video Michael Cole and Shane McMahon lead us into a replay of Chyna challenging Val Venis to a match tomorrow on RAW is WAR, and Shane announces it’s official! The theme song of the New Age Outlaws hits to a massive pop, Billy Gunn making his way out to the ring. Billy Gunn def. Triple H, Hardcore Champion Al Snow(w/the Jackyl), and Edge(w/Gangrel and Christian) in an Over the Top Rope Challenge: Snow was eliminated by Billy Gunn; Edge was eliminated by Gangrel and Christian to the confusion of everybody, including Edge himself; and finally Triple H tried making Gunn eliminate himself, but when he sneaked up behind “the Game” and tossed him over the top! The crowd went wild as Triple H sat on the floor in shock. Gunn celebrated the victory and gyrated for the crowd, meanwhile Hunter blew a lid on the outside. He flipped the steel steps and stormed off to the back, what does this mean for DX? What will the Outlaws choose to do tomorrow on RAW? Has this match made it abundantly clear what their answer is? We see Stone Cold walking down a corridor, he’s up next! BreakThe glass shatters to a huge ovation as Stone Cold marches his way down to the ring. Austin wastes no time as he grabs a microphone from ringside and enters the ring. He says he’s officially back as a WWF superstar, and in the two short weeks he’s been back he’s taken the liberty to raise more hell than ever before! He guarantees that as long as Stone Cold Steve Austin is in the World Wrestling Federation, Mr. McMahon and the rest of the corporate son of bitches will never get their slimy little hands on the WWF Championship! The crowd pops as Austin continues, saying the Royal Rumble is next Sunday. “McMahon says I have no chance in hell at winning the Royal Rumble match, but the fact is I’m going to walk down that aisle and there is no chance in hell I’m going to let any members of the Corporation win and main event WrestleMania.” Finally, Austin says there is one man in the back he is watching closer than anybody on the Corporation - the Undertaker! The crowd jeers at the mention of the Undertaker’s name, but Austin continues anyway. “Do you think I’m stupid, Undertaker? Do you think all of these people are stupid? Four months ago you and McMahon were in cahoots so your sorry ass could take my WWF Champion, and now you want to jump up on your little high horse and act like you’re not some corporate son of a gun? Especially after what happened on RAW?” Before Stone Cold could say anymore, he is cut off by the Undertaker’s gong. ’Taker comes out pugnaciously, and Austin returns the look. He enters the ring, but instead of saying anything, he throws hands with Austin! The crowd explodes as the two go back and forth, Undertaker irate at Austin costing him the WWF Championship last week on RAW is WAR! Not before long, the Big Show and Kane made their way out to the ring and joined in on the fry, assaulting Austin! The Corporate team hammered away at the “Rattlesnake,” but suddenly Mankind and Rock bolted to the ring! The six men erupted into an all out brawl around the ringside area as Sunday Night HeAT came to a close with a chaotic ending, what’s going to happen at the Royal Rumble? What’s going to happen tomorrow on RAW?

WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 21st December 1998...Alright, I'm in for a long haul with this one, let's dash through these shows. Wow, Stone Cold Steve Austin kidnapping Shane McMahon! I like it, but I hope Shane isn't treat too weakly here, and gets retribution somewhere down the line. Short opening promo haha. The Rock kicking off the show was a fresh way to start, followed by the Undertaker's interruption. Liked the exchange, it was very realistic for this time period. 'Taker and Rock teaming up against the Corporation, and they're fighting. Explosive start already! The Dudley Boyz retaining the WWF Tag Team Championships against the Acolytes was expected, and the Jackyl getting involved was a nice method of continuing the feud. I hope the feud lengthens anyway, maybe Buh Buh Ray could have an obsession with putting Jackyl through a table...Chris Jericho's promo was great to further let himself become more acquainted to the WWF audience. TAKA Michinoku was the right guy to help get Chris Jericho over. Looking forward to seeing if Owen Hart will accept Y2J's challenge. Remember though - they're supposed to be the WWF Tag Team Champions someday! #lionstalereferences. More chaos from Austin putting Vince on the edge of his seat. Very interested as to where Vince is right now. D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry beating the Godfather and Andrew Martin was nice, but nothing special. Vince, Big Show and security, good way to make things feel more uneasy regarding the Stone Cold kidnapping Shane scenario. Jeff Jarrett's promo was good, and I liked his reference to the Rock from Armageddon. Jarrett getting disqualified against Ken Shamrock was cool, could bring us into Jarrett's next feud. Hah! Austin has a gun against Shane. Awesome stuff. Second hour start-up with Val Venis beating Sean Waltman was fine, although the roll-up didn't cut it for me: if he got an upset over Waltman, what makes us think that he can beat Triple H properly? Let me guess about this "secret"...Chyna slept with Val. That would be priceless. Vader out of action is a shame, hopefully he returns stronger than ever. Steven Regal beating Steve Blackman didn't surprise me too much. Al Snow attacking Blackman when he was down anyway was cool, a nice touch. D-Generation X and the Corporation in cohoots? Biggest faction ever~! Sable beating Ivory was the generic divas match of the night. Jacqueline and Luna Vachon make a great team eh? We share the same storyline, essentially. Guess we've got ourselves a women's tag match next week. I don't expect Y2J and Owen Hart's feud to end next week, cool stuff here though. Our main event, big tag team match with the Undertaker expectedly walking out on the Rock: Kane and Big Show with the win was the right call. Stone Cold Steve Austin in the main event promo was fantastic, practically manipulating Vince McMahon to give him the Big Show, a contract and a spot in the Royal Rumble match. Wait, Vince wet himself because of his son? Hmm, not sure about that factor. Why didn't Shane? Great crowd-pleasing end to RAW is WAR. Overall, a very packed show progressing a lot of feuds going forth as we draw closer to 1999.
WWF Sunday Night HeAT: Sunday 27th December 1998...Scorpio getting the win in a fatal four-way match was a great start to HeAT tonight, and it was definitely a unique decision to have Scorpio gain contention to the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship over Rey Mysterio Jr and Christian particularly. Too Much then trying to attack Scorpio just for Mysterio Jr to make the save was very nicely done. A tag team match is inevitable; exciting start to the show. Wow, tonight is the return of the missing light heavyweights! Rob Van Dam's promo was fine, and a win over Aguila cemented his current position. Shame that he doesn't seem to have an angle working out for him at the minute, though. The Big Show's interview was good, and I'm looking forward to seeing him face Stone Cold Steve Austin - in a steel-cage? Nice! I see Show tossing Austin into the cage, causing the cage to break open, ala St Valentine's Day Massacre. The New Age Outlaws' romo was great, and I liked their references to the Brood and the Dudley Boyz. D-Generation X having problems with the Outlaws? Now that could be something. I guess Billy Gunn and Road Dogg aren't going to fall for the Corporation's antics. The Hardy Boys beating Southern Supremacy got them over big. Not a lot to add, here. And lastly, good main event win for Triple H against the uprising star, Edge. I'm split on having the focus to close HeAT be on Gangrel and Edge, though. Overall, a decent show, but nothing too special.
WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 28th December 1998...If I'm not mistaken, the last show of 1998? Well done for making it to 1999, a new year! This diary has come a long way, and you're being a great rival in this series against my 1998 diary. Mr McMahon kicking off the show, practically padding up the night of action tonight. Interesting way to have the show start with Mankind win the Corporate Rumble. Didn't expect to see him here, but it sets him to a fantastic place, a shot against the WWF Champion, the Undertaker coming up next week. Kane being dragged away by officials was interesting, but realistically, Kane would have annihilated them. The Rock and Kane with heat? Could be a cool feud. Mankind's promo was fantastic and heated, his rivalry with the Undertaker continuing to reach new heights from here. The Undertaker coming out led to the groundwork to their title match becoming established further. No disqualifications, no count outs, big match already with a lot of hype! Owen Hart and Chris Jericho not even getting started gets Y2J even more heat. I hope to see this angle play out for a while. Great idea for Vince McMahon to try and reach out to the Undertaker, but interesting in a realistic sense for him to turn the offer down...Bradshaw beating Steve Blackman was fine, it was just a matter of time before you started mixing up the Jackyl's faction's feuds. I embrace it. The Acolytes fleeing from the Dudley Boyz? I can't see that happening honestly, it hurts Bradshaw and Faarooq's mystique. I wish we would see Shane McMahon seek redemption against Stone Cold Steve Austin for kidnapping him last week, rather than him just turning his attention to the Rock here. Ken Shamrock and the Rock got a good win against Jeff Jarrett and Kane, a nice first-hour main event here. Shane trying to jump Shamrock was funny, and the brawl afterwards was different, Rock introducing comedy against Kane. I see Kane destroying him in the near future for Rock not taking him seriously. A lot going on, it's sort of hard to digest in this tag team situations. D-Lo Brown beating Andrew Martin got him over some more. Preparing us for more in the D-Lo Brown and Godfather storyline. What is this secret with Chyna? I'm interested now. Ah, the first sign of a crossover with the Corporation and DX. The odds are stacked higher than usual in Austin's favor! Edge having his first solo promo is fine, and good call in having him split away from the Brood. Rey Mysterio Jr and Scorpio beating Too Much was fine, decent filler match to also get the light heavyweights get more established on the flagship show. Val Venis and D-Generation X's promo was great, and as expected, great spot with the Chyna and Val sex tape. Got Venis over a lot more, and I'm interested in how Triple H's relationship with Chyna goes from here. I want to know some backstory though: why did Chyna agree to Venis' "satisfactory experience"? Another seemingly big show set up for next week on RAW as well, two title matches! Vince McMahon as the referee in Mankind against Undertaker next week certainly stacks the odds in Mankind's favor this time. The Corporation really don't like rebels, do they? Jacqueline and Luna Vachon beating Sable and Ivory was fine, not a lot to add here. As expected, a chaotic main event with Stone Cold Steve Austin regaining his job against the Big Show in a steel-cage match (using the St Valentine's Day Massacre finish as expected!). Another stacked, fantastic show to bring us into 1999, it was an extremely feel-good ending. I also love how you set up the next edition of RAW is WAR on the episode prior to it, it makes everything seem bigger. Great work.
WWF Sunday Night HeAT: Sunday 3rd January 1999...Alright, nice, here we are in 1999 at last. This was the live episode, if I recall correctly. I liked Gangrel and Christian still getting involved in "trying to help" Edge, getting him disqualified against Rob Van Dam. Not so sure on Van Dam's position currently though, he strikes me as the forgotten member of the Corporation. Edge and Gangrel brawling was neat, and Christian helping Gangrel against his very own brother was a shocker. Gangrel is nasty work. Southern Supremacy beating the Hardy Boys - well, it was a nice try, Jeff and Matt. I see the Hardys being very high up in the tag team division by the Summer. Poor TAKA Michinoku, he used to be so much more. Good win for Steven Regal, nonetheless. He needs a storyline though. The open challenge gimmick should work it out very easily. Nice promo to bring us up to this tag team match, although the clean win for the Dudley Boyz did surprise me. I see Billy Gunn and Road Dogg turning face, which seems very nice. And lastly, great last-minute promo with the Undertaker to prepare us for the WWF Championship no-holds-barred match coming up tomorrow night on RAW is WAR. The Undertaker forcing Vince McMahon to remove his own presence and the Corporation from this match with Mankind was surprising for a heel to do, although the show of respect turned into 'Taker laying out the Chairman was a great twist in the closing moments. A decent show, giving us even more of a big feel going into tomorrow's episode of RAW is WAR. I'll be getting up to date in my next reply, BYE!

A nice Light Heavyweight opener with Scorpio going over Scott Taylor. Aftermath was fine to build towards the championship match, and get Too Much over a bit more. Aw yeah! Brood up in here! But is Edge still hesitant? Bob Holly ditching the match....we're going Hardcore it seems. Good promo from D-Generation X to set up the Intercontinental Championship match between Val Venis and Sean Waltman next Sunday. I see Val retaining, and honestly, building towards a match against Chyna at WrestleMania. Decent squash win for Chris Jericho, getting some momentum going into the Royal Rumble against Owen Hart. More dissension within D-X, and my boy Billy Gunn with the win! Can't wait to see what goes down with him, Hunter, and the rest of the faction tomorrow on RAW. Great closing segment, Undertaker wasting no time and getting his shots in on Austin. Kane, Show, Rock, and Mankind all joining the fray was great for a nice brawl and chaotic ending. A good edition of HeAT, excited for what's in store on RAW six days before the Rumble.

WWF @ Beaumont, TX - Montagne Center - January 18, 1999 Before RAW is WAR goes on the air, a video recaps last week’s broadcast.
The pyro takes off as the cameras gazes across the arena, we are only six nights away from the Royal Rumble! Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler bring us in to the show, hyping up how close the Rumble is. They say tonight the Rock goes one on one with Kane; the Road Dogg gets another match against Hardcore Champion Al Snow, and tonight the Outlaws must give an answer to Triple H; Intercontinental Champion Val Venis takes on Chyna; and D-Lo Brown defends the European Championship against former Nation co-member the Godfather! Suddenly the hype dies down as the Corporation make their way out to the ring, Vince leading the charge with a microphone in hand!
Mr. McMahon says they are only six days away from the Royal Rumble, and it is going to be a “Corporate sweep“! He says not only does Stone Cold have “no chance in hell” at winning the Rumble match with the Big Show involved, but Mankind will not be the last man standing with the WWF Championship with both of the Brothers of Destruction involved! McMahon makes one final announcement, saying tonight Mankind will go one on one with the future Royal Rumble winner, the Big Show! The crowd jeers Vince as the Corporation applauds, Shane McMahon taking a microphone. Shane says he has finally came up with the proper response to all of the physical torment Stone Cold Steve Austin has given him over the past number of months, so he will reward anyone who takes out Austin with a very special gift. Shane smirks before saying that’s not all on the Corporate agenda tonight, so he would like the Undertaker to make his way out. After a few seconds of waiting, the “Phenom” finally makes his way out to the stage. Vince asks Undertaker to be quiet for one moment, because he has another deal for him. He says he knows that he can’t wait to get his hands on Steve Austin. “So, let me tell you something. If you can take Austin out right here tonight and ensure he doesn’t make it the Royal Rumble, I guarantee not only Kane will make sure you’re the last man standing come Sunday, but so will the entire Corporation!” Before the Undertaker can respond, a familiar voice is heard over the PA system. “Up here, dumb***es!” The fans go wild as Stone Cold appears on the titantron, saying it’s cute that the Corporation is putting some sort of bounty on him, but no man walking on this planet can keep ol’ Stone Cold Steve Austin down! He also says if Undertaker wants to take that sorry son of a bitch up on his little offer, then he better bright the entire Corporation out with him tonight, because he’ll be out there with Mankind… and he won’t be alone! And that’s the bottom line, because Stone Cold said so! As Austin fades from the screen, ‘Taker heads to the back to go after him as RAW heads to a break.
Break
Following a replay of Stone Cold announcing he’ll be brining back up with him to ringside as Big Show and Mankind face off in the main event, we are taken backstage to the Undertaker storming down a corridor. ‘Taker barges through multiple staff members as Kevin Kelly tries to catch up with him. He asks the number one contender if he’ll accept McMahon’s offer, and Undertaker stops and turns to him. He tells Kelly he’s finding Austin and taking him out tonight to make sure he doesn’t interfere in his match again this Sunday. Kevin still wants to know if this is his way of accepting Vince’s offer, but he is ignored.
Back live in the arena, European Champion D-Lo Brown makes his entrance. The Godfather is out next, surprisingly without the Ho Train! He takes a microphone, telling D-Lo he’s been ducking him for too long. He says he’s tired of Andrew Martin and Mark Henry constantly getting involved in their business, so he’s set the both of them up with two of his Hos! D-Lo is ticked and kicks the rope as Godfather struts his way down the ramp, looking as confident as ever!
European Championship: The Godfather def. D-Lo Brown VIA DQ: Godfather was looking to finally capture the gold, but D-Lo slipped out of the Death Valley Driver and hit the low blow!
Godfather fell to his knees as D-Lo quickly bailed from the ring, grabbing his European Championship and heading up the entrance ramp as quickly as he could. Godfather used the ropes to get up, trying to lure D-Lo back into the ring. The champion declined, heading backstage while holding his title in the air.
Backstage we see Billy Gunn talking to Road Dogg, what he’s saying is inaudible by the camera. Tonight they answer Triple H’s ultimatum.
Break
Back from the break, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler introduce us to a replay of the Acolytes power bombing Steve Blackman off the stage. They announce they are still waiting for an update on his condition.
The theme song of the Dudley Boyz hits to the joy of the crowd. Bubba Ray has a microphone, saying last week the Acolytes took out their friend Stttttt. D-Von slaps him in the back of the head and Bubba finishes, saying Steve Blackman. D-Von quickly takes over for the stuttering Bubba, saying the Jackyl was trying to send a message to them. He assures the Jackyl that one can not intimidate the Dudley Boyz, and this Sunday the Acolytes would be going to war with the two toughest son of bitches from ECW! Bubba finishes off saying what they did to Steve Blackman last week will be nothing compared to what they do at the Rumble!
The Dudley Boyz def. The Brood(w/Gangrel): For some odd reason tonight, Christian attacked Edge behind the Dudley’s backs. The former tag champs soon were able to finish it with the Dudley Death Drop.
The brothers celebrate their win on opposing turnbuckles as Edge rolled out of the ring, in disbelief. Edge tried to confront Christian and Gangrel about their actions, but they simply headed to the back as he followed. Somehow the relationship between these three just got even more mysterious than ever before!
WWF Champion, Mankind, was shown backstage in his locker room playing with Mr. Socko as the Rock walked in to a massive pop. Rock wasn’t looking for any of Foley’s games, and he said, “Listen up, Mick. The Rock knows you got a big WWF Championship defense in a Last Man Standing match against the Undertaker. The Rock also knows that the big red intellectually- disabled person himself, Kane, will somehow be involved in the match. So the Rock says this Sunday at the Royal Rumble he’s got your back, and if Kane goes anywhere near that ring he will lay the Smackdown on his big red candy ass!” Mick stands up and tells Rock he needs to worry about what the Corporation has in store for him tonight, but Rock cuts him off. He says he doesn’t give a crap who’s in Kane’s corner tonight, and he will see him at the Rumble. Rock leaves the room as Mankind consults with Mr. Socko.
Break
Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcome us back to the show and they talk about what we just saw from the Rock and Mankind. We already knew Kane was going to be sent by the Corporation to ensure an Undertaker victory, but now the Rock promises to have Mick Foley’s back this Sunday!
The New Age Outlaws make their way out to the ring, Billy Gunn with a microphone. Billy announces after Jeff Jarrett slammed a guitar over Road Dogg’s neck last week, he doesn’t have the voice to do their introduction. “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages.” Following the line, Billy freezes up, not knowing what to say. James comes to the rescue, whispering something in his ear. “D-Generation X proudly presents to you the… what do we say now?” Road Dogg whispering in his hear again, “The greatest tag team in the WORLD! The “Road Dogg” Jesse James! The “Bad Ass” Bill Gunn! The New Age Outlaws!” Following the introduction Al Snow and the Jackyl make their way out to the ring, Al not only having Head, but a Steve Blackman action figure!
Non-Title; Road Dogg(w/Billy Gunn) def. Hardcore Champion Al Snow(w/The Jackyl and Head): Despite his lack of voice, Road Dogg was still able to knock of the Hardcore Champion when the Jackyl tried to interfere, but the Dudley Boyz ran down and knocked him off the apron!
The Dudley’s approved of the victory, applauding as Billy Gunn raised Road Dogg’s hands. James grabbed the Hardcore Championship and took a quick glance at it before dropping it across Al Snow’s chest. The Outlaws took to the turnbuckles to celebrate their victory, we’ll still hear an answer from them regarding Triple H’s ultimatum tonight!
Up next, Kane goes one on one with the Rock, but who does Shane McMahon have in Kane’s corner to “control” him?
Break
The Royal Rumble is live on pay per view January 24th. 30 superstars compete in the annual Royal Rumble match for a chance to main event WrestleMania 15 against the World Wrestling Federation Champion. Following the advertisement the current Royal Rumble card is ran down, including the Royal Rumble match; Sable defending the WWF Woman’s Championship against Jacqueline; Val Venis’ Intercontinental Championship up for grabs against Sean Waltman; Chris Jericho versus Owen Hart; The Dudleyz get a last chance at the WWF Tag Team Championships versus the Acolytes in a Falls Count Anywhere match; And finally Mankind will defend the World Wrestling Federation Championship in a Last Man Standing match against the Undertaker!
The Rock makes his way out to the ring to a massive ovation from the crowd. He takes a microphone and says he’s going to make this short and sweet. Shane McMahon has promised somebody to be in Kane’s corner tonight to “control” him, but the Rock’s got his own solution. It includes him sticking his boot straight up his big red roody poo candy ass! The crowd pops, but suddenly Rock is cut off by Shane McMahon. Shane tells Rock to know his role and shut his mouth, because Kane is about to lay the corporate smackdown on his ass! Shane laughs before saying he’d like to welcome someone back to the WWF, the man who will be in Kane’s corner, Paul Bearer! Bearer make his way out to huge heat from the crowd, standing their with a giant smirk on his face before Kane makes his way to the stage.
Kane(w/Paul Bearer) def. The Rock: Kane finally defeated the Rock tonight with the Chokeslam after interference from Paul Bearer.
Jeers filled the arena as Paul Bearer stood by his son, Kane. “The Big Red Machine” sets off his pyro as he stands over the near lifeless body of the Rock, has the Corporation has finally defeated the “Great One”? Meanwhile, backstage, the Undertaker is shown still marching down the halls, looking for Steve Austin!
Elsewhere backstage, Triple H, Sean Waltman, and Chyna stand by in their locker room. Waltman tries to get an answer out of Chyna as to why she slept with that slime ball punk, but she refuses to answer. Hunter tells Waltman that’s for a different time, because he needs to focus on taking the title from Val this Sunday. Triple H continues, saying he’s going to get his revenge on Austin this Sunday, and he’ll be the one collecting the reward from the Corporation. Sean grins and tells him he likes that, Hunter telling the both of them to head out, because he’s calling out the Outlaws, next!
Break
The theme song of D-Generation X blasts over the arena to massive heat, Triple H leading the charge. He says tonight Chyna is going to beat the hell out of that punk Val Venis, but they are out here now for a different matter. He says one week ago he laid down an ultimatum to the Outlaws. One, they join up with them in the Corporation, or two, they hit the bricks. Triple H says he thinks this should be a rather easy decision, so one week should have been enough time, and he demands for them to come out. Their theme hits again to another great reaction from the crowd, Billy with the microphone again. He tells Hunter even despite Road Dogg’s condition, they have talked about this a lot over the past week. He says for the past year they done everything together. They’ve fought together in all of their wars from the Harts to Stone Cold Steve Austin to Ken Shamrock to even Val Venis. However, there is one fight they cannot fight - the corporate one. Gunn says they disagree with the way the Corporation operates, it’s a way DX has never been fond of! He says their not willing to throw away everything this group has stood by for the past year and a half, even if the rest of DX is. Gunn says it’s been a great trip, but after a long hard thought, they have to decline the offer to stay. Hunter puts his head down before raising the microphone, telling Gunn they can respect their decision. The crowd seems surprised as Hunter and Waltman extend their hands. The Outlaws seem hesitant, but they eventually accept. The fans in the arena applaud as the Outlaws turns their backs to the leave the ring, only to be ambushed from behind! The applauds quickly turn violent as DX stomps away at their former members. They’re helpless to the attack as Waltman lefts Gunn up, hitting the X-Factor! Hunter grabs Road Dogg, hitting him with the Pedigree! Referees quickly rush down to evict the Outlaws from the scene as Chyna stands back, awaiting her match with Venis.
Break
Back from the commercial break, a replay is shown with Triple H and Sean Waltman assaulting Billy Gunn and Road Dogg after they decided to part ways with D-Generation X.
Non-Title; Intercontinental Champion Val Venis versus Chyna ends in a No Contest: Val Venis wasn't taking Chyna seriously, instead the cocky rocky gyrated for her in the ring. The match itself never really got going, as Sean Waltman quickly ran back down and attacked Venis from behind. Val quickly fought back with strike after strike, nearly taking Sean out of the ring until Chyna hit him with a low blow! Sean took the Intercontinental Championship and blasted him in the head with it. Waltman and Chyna stood tall in the ring, Sean raising the title up high.
Backstage the Undertaker had finally reached Stone Cold’s locker room. ‘Taker let out a little grin before kicking in the door. Much to his dismay, the “Rattlesnake” was nowhere to be found. Instead, there was a beer can on the table with a note attached to it. ‘Taker ripped off the note and read it, the note saying; “Enjoy one last drink, because by the time you find me you’ll be drinking out of straw for the rest of your sorry life!” Undertaker was enraged and threw the beer can against a wall, the beer splattering everywhere. Undertaker stormed out, still looking for Austin!
Break
The WWF Slam of the Week aired with Owen Hart defeating Steven Regal on RAW is WAR last Monday.
Backstage Michael Cole was preparing for an interview with Owen Hart. Cole goes to ask Owen Hart about his match with Chris Jericho this Sunday, but before he can answer, “Y2J” himself steps onto the set. He asks Cole why he’s interviewing a loser like Owen Hart when Chris Jericho himself is standing right here in front of him. Owen steps in front of Jericho, telling him he’s had enough of his mouth! He tells Jericho this Sunday is put or shut up time. Chris smirks and says whether or not he wants to admit the fact, he is and has been better than him and the rest of his stupid family! Jericho slaps Owen in the face and quickly dashes away, leaving Hart boiling with anger.
Ken Shamrock def. Rob Van Dam: Jeff Jarrett and Debra came to ringside for this, Debra trying to distract Shamrock. After a hard battle, Ken finally resisted, and locked in the Ankle Lock on RVD for the tap out!
Jarrett couldn’t believe that Shamrock had overcame his secret weapon as Ken celebrated his victory ecstatically. Debra made her way into the ring and when Shamrock turned around, she was standing behind him. She flirted with him, grazing his body with her finger. Jarrett tried to sneak attack him from behind, but he turned around at the last second to throw him out of the ring! The Corporation quickly left, Jarrett warning Shamrock he had pissed him off for the last time!
Still to come tonight, the Big Show squares of with WWF Champion Mankind in our main event!
Break
The Acolytes and the Jackyl were shown in the hallways as Jackyl was pacing back and forth, distraught about his encounter with the Dudley Boyz. He quick turns to his men, yelling at them he’s sick and tired of the Dudleyz. He says they have been stop the growth of their dark army, and they are the reason why they’re not in control of the World Wrestling Federation! He tells Faarooq and Bradshaw he doesn’t want them to just beat the Dudleyz this Sunday at the Royal Rumble, he wants them to destroy them! Faarooq and Bradshaw simply nod, the Jackyl letting out an evil chuckle.
Non-Title; WWF Woman’s Champion Sable(w/Ivory) def. Luna Vachon(w/Jacqueline): Sable picked up the clean win as Ivory kept Jacqueline out of the match, allowing the champ to hit the Sable Bomb for the victory.
The crowd cheered as Sable was handed her Woman’s Championship by Ivory. Sable walked around the ring and posed with the title before asking for a microphone. Sable looked to Jacqueline and said she knows that “bitch” Luna will be in her corner this Sunday, so just like tonight, Ivory will be in hers to ensure no interference! Jacqueline throws a fit as Sable and Ivory celebrate in the ring together.
Mankind was shown walking down a corridor with the WWF Championship, his match with the Big Show is up next!
Break
Non-Title; The Big Show(w/Mr. McMahon) def. WWF Champion Mankind: During the match the majority of the Corporation along with Steve Austin, the Rock, Ken Shamrock, and Val Venis surrounded the ring. Big Show picked up the win after the Undertaker distracted Mick, allowing the giant to nail the Chokeslam!
The arena filled with boos when suddenly everyone started brawling! Mick was still down as Austin brawled with Undertaker right in the center of the ring, the two going back and forth just like on HeAT. One by one superstars were being tossed over the top rope, almost like a Royal Rumble match! During the melee Mankind pulled ‘Taker out of the way as they started to fight on the outside, Undertaker getting the advantage by throwing the champ right into the steel steps. Meanwhile, in the ring, only Austin, Jarrett, and Big Show remained. Jarrett went for a clothesline on Austin, but he ducked, and dumped “Double J” out of the ring. With Mankind neutralized, Undertaker slipped back in the ring, hitting Stone Cold with a chair! Austin fell to the mat as Show picked him up and threw him right over the top rope! Undertaker and Big Show were the only two who were still standing in the ring as Mr. McMahon made his way in. ’Taker and McMahon stared at each other for a moment before Vince extended his hand. Shockingly, Undertaker accepted! A giant grin came over Vince’s face as RAW is WAR went off the air, the Undertaker has finally aligned with the Corporation!

Alright, the go home show for the Rumble. Let's get this sh*t going! Good opening segment with the Corporation laying down the bounty of sorts against Steve Austin. 'Taker working with McMahon and the Corporation is still a bit hard for me to picture. I do wonder if this eventually leads to tension and the birth of the Ministry. Anywho, Austin being at ringside with back up for the main event definitely sounds like a brawl will close the show. Good opening European Championship bout with D-Lo taking the easy way out with the DQ finish. Christian attacking Edge? You're right, that is odd. Good victory for the Dudley Boyz to give them some momentum heading into Sunday against the Acolytes. Enjoyed the pre-match segment with the New Age Outlaws, Road Dogg voiceless. Nice win for him over Al Snow, Maybe this match should've been later on in the show as we just saw the Dudley Boyz in the previous segment. Whoa, Paul Bearer! With him at Kane's side, makes sense for him to go over Rock in this one. He's definitely a solid pick to win the Rumble, and I may even go with him as my prediction. Glad to see the New Age Outlaws stick to their guns and decline Hunter's ultimatum, and the beat down makes me believe we'll see Gunn and Road Dogg play a role in the Intercontinental Championship bout at the Royal Rumble to further tick off D-X. Speaking of the Intercontinental Title, some good build for the match on Sunday with Waltman taking care of Val Venis. A bit of a bummer that the final form of build for Jericho/Owen on Sunday came in a backstage segment. Could've used some in-ring time. Either way, still very much so looking forward to that bout. Hey, maybe Ken Shamrock is puppy immune. Solid win for him over Rob Van Dam, and the aftermath with Jarrett and Debra was fine to further that feud. Decent bout with Sable getting the momentum by defeating Luna. The build to the Women's Championship match has been rather basic and is definitely what I'm least looking forward to at the Royal Rumble. Lastly, surprised that we saw a clean victory for the Big Show over WWF Champion Mankind. Kind of assures me that Show won't be winning the Rumble match. And as I expected, a nice Rumble-style brawl to go along with that. But wow, 'Taker is officially with the Corporation. Still, I can't picture their unison lasting. A very solid edition of RAW, can't wait for the Royal Rumble.

Finally got to this so here we go. The opening segment was a nice set up for the main event and the rumble. The Euro title match like it needed a bit longer write as one sentence doesn't really get me fired up. Did he go for the driver to start the match or did he work up to it? I am liking the collapse of The Brood as I wasn't found of the stable gimmick. Seems obvious that Rock would help Goley but I still like how it's set up. I want a new Hardcore champion as I don't like Snow. I'm disliking the one sentence match write up its your thing so I guess I'll get used to it. Paul was always one of my favorites so I like the result. The outlaws are dumb enough to fall for that?!??! I must have missed it but why is he being call Waltman instead of X-PAC. I knw it's his real name but it bugs me. Jericho or Hart I don't know. I really enjoy both of them. Now Shamrock would make a good Hardcore champion. I could care less about divas so I guess good win. I like Mankind millions of times better so take this lightly but make a loser leaves WWF match between Show and Mankind. Undertaker and the coorparation is shocking to me. Just a little note when the Rumbles take place in real life I wouldn't even be a month old so I don't know everything that is going on but I'll try.

Credit to Ryan for all graphics besides the Rumble match. Credit to google for the Rumble match graphic. WWF @ Anaheim, CA - Arrowhead Pond - January 24, 1999 After the Sunday Night HeAT opening video finishes, we are greeted to Sunday Night HeAT by Shane McMahon and Michael Cole, Shane promising this is a night were Stone Cold Steve Austin has “No chance in Hell” at winning the Royal Rumble! Meanwhile, Cole is busy hyping away the fact that we’re only an hour away from the Royal Rumble on pay per view, but there’s a huge line up for the HeAT broadcast. Brian Christopher defends his Light Heavyweight Championship against Scorpio; Andrew Martin settles his feud with Mark Henry one on one; Hardcore Champion Al Snow takes on one third of the Brood, Edge; And then tonight Triple H promises to call out Stone Cold Steve Austin!
Light Heavyweight Championship: Brian Christopher © def. Scorpio: Cole announced on commentary that all outside parties had been banned from ringside. Christopher still relied on his cunning nature however, finishing Scorpio with a handful of tights!
Scorpio couldn’t believe it as he had just been screwed over by Brian Christopher again! Christopher danced on the aisle way with the Light Heavyweight Championship as Scott Taylor came out, the two embracing. Scorpio engaged in an argument with the referee, but he insisted his decision was final. Too Much mocked Scorpio from the top as we went backstage.
Triple H was shown arriving to the arena with Sean Waltman and Chyna, Triple H promises to confront Stone Cold before the Rumble tonight!
Break
An advertisement aired, hyping up the Royal Rumble live on pay per view. Back in the arena the commentary duo began to talk about all of tonight’s scheduled matches including; Last Chance Falls Count Anywhere match for the WWF Tag Team Championships as the Acolytes defend against the Dudley Boyz; Owen Hart must deal with the “Y2J Problem” as he battles rival Chris Jericho; Chyna and Sean Waltman look to finally put an end to Val Venis as Sean challenges for his Intercontinental Championship; Sable makes her first WWF Woman’s Championship title defense on Pay Per View tonight against Jacqueline as Luna Vachon and Ivory will be at ringside; Mankind and the Undertaker will battle one final time for the WWF Championship, this time under Last Man Standing rules! Only one man can walk away from this match; And of course, in the main event, thirty superstars battle in the Royal Rumble for a chance to face the WWF Champion at WrestleMania 15!
Mankind is backstage clutching the WWF Championship as Kevin Kelly tries to get an interview with him about the Last Man Standing match. Mick ensures him the time for talk is over, but he will say one thing. He guarantees only one man is going to walk away from this match tonight, and more importantly only one man will walk away with the World Wrestling Federation Championship. “And it’s going to be Mrs. Foley’s Baby Boy!”
Andrew Martin makes his way out to the ring, his match with Mark Henry is up next!
Break
Andrew Martin def. Mark Henry: Andrew Martin finally got the win over his rival tonight, finishing him off with a huge big boot.
As Andrew Martin celebrated his victory, we went backstage to a fight had broken out! As the cameras got in closer, we could see Ivory laying on the floor as none other than Jacqueline and Luna Vachon were stomping away. The two ladies continued the vicious assault as Jacqueline stomped away at the mid-section and Luna slammed her head into a nearby crate. Finally staff arrived on the scene to try and break them up, but the two ladies refused to budge. Eventually, WWF Woman’s Champion Sable stormed by, chasing the two off. Ivory was in clear pain as her friend Sable checked on her, Jacqueline and Luna now making tonight’s title match personal!
Up next on HeAT Hardcore Champion Al Snow takes on one third of the Brood in Edge, and later on tonight Triple H calls out Stone Cold!
Break
We cut to the interview set as Michael Cole talks about how tonight Chris Jericho makes his WWF Pay Per View debut tonight against Owen Hart, and Jericho himself steps into the camera’s view. Cole questions Jericho has done a lot of talking over the past month, but is he truly prepared for his match with Owen Hart tonight? Chris almost laughs at his question, telling the “idiot” Cole the real question is if Owen Hart is prepared for Chris Jericho tonight! He takes it back, saying they all ready know the answer, because nobody is ever prepared for the sheer presence of “Y2J”! Michael asks Chris if he thinks a victory over Owen tonight will establish his name here in the World Wrestling Federation. He tells Cole he doesn’t need to beat Owen tonight to establish his name, because everybody already knows who he is, and he’s going to beat him tonight just because he can!
Non-title; Hardcore Champion Al Snow(w/Jackyl and Head) def. Edge(w/the Brood): Edge was closing in on the Spear when Christian hopped on the apron, distracting him. This allowed the champ to hit the Snow Plow and get the three.
Snow and Jackyl quickly left with the Hardcore Championship, Edge laying flat on his back. The Brood climbed into the ring as Edge began to stir. He springs up to his feet, pushing Gangrel and asking “What the hell was that?” Gangrel smirks and tells Edge he’s yet to find his power and leaves the ring with Christian, at this point it seems like this relationship will never be clear!
Stone Cold is shown marching down a corridor as he turns to the camera and says to the world nobody calls out Stone Cold Steve Austin, so he’s going out to the ring and calling out the son of a bitch himself!
Break
As we return from the commercial break, Stone Cold makes his way out to a massive pop. Austin takes a microphone and says he’s been hearing some rumors that Triple H was planning on calling him out tonight, so he’s gonna give the dumb son of a bitch one minute to get here, or he’s gonna back there and open up a can of whoop ass! The crowd pops as Austin waits, but their excitement quickly dies down as “The Game” Triple H makes his way out with a microphone in hand. Hunter tells Austin he cost him the Intercontinental Championship on January fourth, and he vowed revenge. He goes on, talking about how the McMahons put a bounty on his head, so he figured he’d come out here and collect it himself. Austin smirks and tells Hunter he’ll give him the first shot, because after that he better run or he’s not going to be competing in the Royal Rumble tonight. Before the two can come to blows Mr. McMahon and the Big Show make their way out to the ring. Vince grabs a microphone tells Triple H to stand down. He says he wants Austin in the rumble match tonight, just so he can watch him lose to the Big Show, because no one can throw him over the top rope! Austin says “that’s real cute” - but he has some news for Vince, Hunter, and the Big Show. Stone Cold Steve Austin is going to enter the Royal Rumble, throw twenty nine jackasses over the top rope, and headline WrestleMania XV with the WWF Championship slung around his shoulder. “And there is no chance in hell that the Corporation can do a damn thing about it!” The crowd pops, but Triple H attacks Austin from behind! The cheers turn to jeers as Triple H starts hammering away at him, only for the “Texas Rattlesnake” to strike back. Eventually Austin takes the upper hand, throwing Hunter over the top rope. He turns around and walks straight into the Big Show, the two having a stare down as HeAT went off the air!
Royal Rumble 99 - Anaheim, CA - Arrowhead Pond - January 24, 1999 Before the Royal Rumble goes live on the air, a video plays highlighting the history of the rumble match. The video takes a grittier turn as it shows Stone Cold Steve Austin’s multiple Royal Rumble victories over the past couple of years and the rise of Austin 3:16. It cuts to a sound byte of Mr. McMahon saying Stone Cold having “no chance in hell” at winning the Royal Rumble with clips of the Corporation, specifically the Big Show, dominating WWF Superstars. The video plays up the feud between Austin and McMahon, showing Austin brawling with the Corporation members with sound bytes between the two playing in the background before it shows lone shots of many WWF Superstars entered in the Rumble tonight, asking the question: Who is going to WrestleMania?
The pyro display captivates the audience as we are greeted by the commentary team of Jim Ross and Jerry “the King” Lawler. They talk about officially being on the path to WrestleMania XV, and what a night we have in store! First of all, Mankind will defend the World Wrestling Federation Championship for the first time against the Undertaker in the first ever Last Man Standing match! Then in the main event, thirty Superstars will collide in the annual Royal Rumble match, King betting it will be the Big Show! Following the introduction the Dudley Boyz make their way out, our first match is now.
WWF Tag Team Championships: Last Chance Falls Count Anywhere: The Acolytes(w/Jackyl)(c) vs. The Dudley Boyz: This match was an all out riot to kick off the 1999 Royal Rumble in Anaheim California. These two teams have been doing battle over the titles for months, and the Jackyl was confidant tonight would be the last. The match started off with the bell, all four trading shots as the bell was rung. D-Von traded off with Faarooq as Bradshaw and Bubba Ray went to town on each other on the other side of the ring. It didn’t take long for the action to spill outside the ring as D-Von launched Faarooq over the top rope and followed him out. He grabbed his head and slammed it against the announce table, but the Acolyte shook it off and rammed D-Von into the apron. Back in the ring Bradshaw had cornered the other Dudley and hammered away at the mid section with kicks. Bubba began firing back, throwing everything he could at Bradshaw, but Faarooq tripped him from the outside and pulled him right into the ring post! Ray was in pain as the Acolytes regrouped on the outside, slamming his right leg into the steel post! D-Von quickly came to the rescue, leaping off the apron and taking both men down with a double clothesline. D-Von picked on Bradshaw and went to work on him, but Faarooq took advantage of the numbers game, slamming a chair into his back! The Acolytes lifted D-Von up into the air, only to slam him back down throat first into the barricade. D-Von rolled around the floor, clutching his throat, as the Acolytes picked on the isolated Bubba Ray - who had rolled to the other side of ringside. Bradshaw leveled him with a clothesline and went for the cover on the outside, but the Dudley willed out. The tag champs double teamed him, taking their turns striking him, failing to realize Bubba was stoic. The crowd went nuts as he started firing away at the two, finally getting rid of the numbers game by tossing Faarooq into the ring post. Bubba tossed Bradshaw head first into the steel steps and covered only for a two. As the match continued it became even more chaotic as all four men went out of control, brawling into the crowd. As they finally made their way into the ring, the challengers had isolated Bradshaw. They set up a table on the outside that Bubba was prepared to use, but the Jackyl came into the ring. Ray’s eyes grew wide as he turned his attention to the leader, grabbing him and setting up for the Powerbomb! Just before he could smash Jackyl through a table, however, the Acolytes made the save and put Bubba through the table with a double Powerbomb! Faarooq jumped down and made the cover to retain the titles. Winners and STILL the WWF Tag Team Champions: The Acolytes
The referee checked on Bubba Ray, who seemed to be out cold. D-Von got back up in the ring and limped his way over to the wreckage to check on his brother. Meanwhile, it was celebration time in the ring as the Jackyl handed his men the gold. He rose their hands in victory as they raised the WWF Tag Team titles, Hell’s Henchmen finally putting an end to the feud.
We cut to a replay of Sunday Night HeAT before it went off the air as Triple H attacked Stone Cold Steve Austin as Mr. McMahon and the Big Show watched on. Austin was able to fight off Hunter, and walked right into a stare down with the Big Show as HeAT went off the air. After the replay we cut to the back as Mr. McMahon was with his son Shane, Kane, and the Big Show. McMahon turns to the giants, reminding them of their specific jobs tonight. Kane needs to make sure Mankind doesn’t walk out with the WWF Championship, and the Big Show needs to make sure Stone Cold does not win the Rumble. Show nods in agreement as the Undertaker himself walks in the room. Vince smiles and offers a handshake to ‘Taker, but the “Phenom” just looked around the room before leaving.
Back in the arena JR and Jerry Lawler are talking about our next match, Chris Jericho versus Owen Hart. They talk about how Jericho promises Owen will be dealing with the “Y2J Problem” as he makes his WWF Pay Per View debut, but all Owen Hart cares about is getting his hands on Jericho! Owen is the first one to make his way out, checking over his shoulder after the last time he was scheduled to face Chris Jericho.
Grudge Match: Chris Jericho vs. Owen Hart: In any Owen Hart match you would expect a technical display, but after everything Jericho has put Owen through in the past month, it was a different side of the former European Champion. Upon the bell Owen tackled Jericho to the ground, pouring in shots after shots. Jericho weaseled his way out, clutching to the bottom rope to stop the onslaught. However, that wasn’t going to stop Hart. He grabbed Jericho by the legs and yanked him away before stomping away. Chris was able to roll away again, getting to the ropes one more time. This time the referee got in front of Owen, allowing “Y2J” to pull one over on Hart by nailing him with the chop block. He followed it up with a wicked enziugri and covered, but nowhere near the three. Jericho tried his best to keep the last remaining Hart in the WWF grounded with a wide vary of moves from headlocks to running knees. Nothing was able to keep him down the fueled by vengeance Owen though, as he was soon back on his feet. As the match went on it became a more technical battle as the two tried dealing out as much pain as possible with the devastating maneuvers. The match even took to the skies as Owen dodge a clothesline from Jericho, sending him over the top. As Chris got up to his feet, Owen dove through the middle rope and took him down with a suicide dive right into the barricade! Both men were down from the move as the referee began his ten count. Neither man began to stir until the five count, and they just made it back into the ring at the count of nine. As soon as they got in the ring, Jericho tripped his opponent and went for the Walls of Jericho. Owen kicked him off and went for the Sharpshooter, only for him to get kicked off into the corner himself! He bounced off and walked right into a Bulldog, Jericho following it up with the Lionsault! He hooked the leg, Owen kicking out at two again! Jericho was enraged as he pushed the ref, insisting he didn’t know how to count. As he was berating him, Hart crept up on him, finally locking in the Sharpshooter! Jericho screamed in pain as the hold was wrenched in the center of the ring. Jericho crawled his way over the ropes with all his strength and got the ropes. The referee began his count, but Owen wouldn’t break the hold, forcing the ref to call for the bell! Winner VIA Disqualification: Chris Jericho
Jericho screamed for help as Owen refused to let go of the hold. The referee couldn’t get Owen away as more poured out from the back to pry him off. With six guys in the ring they finally got him to release his grip. They tried to contain him, but it wasn’t enough as he broke free. “Y2J” was prepared, however, socking him with a low blow! Hart fell down to the mat as Jericho made a quick escape with a smirk on his face.
A video played, recapping the recent events between Val Venis and D-Generation X. It highlighted Val’s feud with Triple H, his capturing of the Intercontinental Championship on January Fourth, and most of all, his fling with Chyna.
Following the video we went backstage as Kevin Kelly stood by with the Intercontinental Champion himself in his locker room. Kevin asked Val about his title match tonight with Sean Waltman, and if he is concerned with a possible interference from Chyna. Val smirked and said he’s pretty sure he already has Chyna in the bag, or in the “sack” if you will. He let out a little, yet creepy, chuckle. He said even though tonight is first Intercontinental Championship defense, the “Big Valbowski” is use to the big stage. He knows DX has it out for him right now, but they need to realize it’s going to be a long time before someone can take away his gold. Val’s serious demeanor fades away again as he says he has a big night planned anyway after he defeats Sean Waltman, and perhaps even wins the Royal Rumble match. Just then the Godfather walks onto the scene with his Hos in tow, Val letting out a grin before leaving with the title.
Intercontinental Championship: Val Venis© vs. Sean Waltman(w/Chyna): The bell sounded and Val turned around to Chyna, gyrating for her. Sean took advantage and clobbered him behind before following up with kicks to the side as Val clutched onto the ropes. He tried to whip him off the ropes, but Val came back strong and took Sean down with a clothesline. As Sean got back up, Venis drilled him with shot after shot, causing him to retreat. You could see the confidence growing in the champ as he preformed another gyration for the DX stable members. As Waltman reentered the ring, a highly competitive match took place as two of the WWF’s up and comers battled it out. There was quick pace as the two constantly traded moves back forth around the ring. After five minutes of the pace, however, Chyna interfered and tripped Val as he was coming off the ropes. Waltman took advantage and began to hammer on the champion. The rookie wouldn't stay down despite the onslaught, and he continued to fight off Waltman until Chyna intervened again! This time the referee caught her and ejected her from ringside to the crowd’s approval. DX was livid and Chyna hopped up to the apron as her and Waltman argued with the ref. Venis tried to take advantage and got Sean with the roll-up, but he pushed him off right into Chyna; knocking her off the apron! As soon as he turned around he got blasted by a super kick and Waltman went for the cover, only to get the two! Sean couldn't believe it as he tried to follow it up, but Venis flipped him over head with a back body drop and took him down with a picture perfect dropkick. He ascended to the top rope, setting up for the Money Shot. Waltman was quick to his feet and jumped up to the top, sending both of them off with a Hurricanrana! As the match continued the challenger continued to throw everything he had at Val Venis, even hitting his devastating X-Factor. Somehow Val was able to kick out again, the champion refusing to stay down for the three count. Sean resorted to desperate tactics as he removed the turnbuckle pad from a corner. He went for another super kick on Venis, but it was evaded, and Val kicked him right into the exposed turnbuckle! Sean was out cold as Val climbed to the top and hit the Money Shot to retain his title! Winner and STILL the Intercontinental Champion: Val Venis
The fans cheered as Val Venis was announced the winner, both men still down on the mat after the exhausting bout. Val got up to his feet and grabbed his title, holding it up in the air. Sean picked his head up while in a complete daze as Val celebrated with his title on the top turnbuckle.
Don’t miss St. Valentine’s Massacre live on pay per view February 14th. Who will walk into WrestleMania XV as the World Wrestling Federation Champion?
Before our next match Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler take us into a replay of Ivory being attacked earlier tonight on Sunday Night HeAT. Jacqueline stomped away at the mid-section and Luna slammed her head into a nearby crate. Finally staff arrived on the scene to try and break them up, but the two ladies refused to budge. Eventually, WWF Woman’s Champion Sable stormed by, chasing the two off. JR said Luna and Jacqueline want to get Sable out of the WWF, but now they have really made things personal by taking out her friend Ivory!
WWF Woman’s Championship: Sable© vs. Jacqueline(w/Luna Vachon): Jacqueline was looking to take the psychological advantage tonight after taking out Sable’s friend Ivory on HeAT. At the start of the match up, Jacqueline constantly taunted the Woman’s Champion, but that may have only lit an even bigger fire under her. She came out swinging at Jacqueline, chasing her out of the ring. Sable followed and a pursuit around ringside ensured. Luna got in Sable’s way, only eating a clothesline fore her troubles. Jacqueline rolled back in the ring and Sable climbed up the apron, but the challenger took her out at the knees. She fell and her head bounced off the apron, causing a violent collision with the floor. Jacqueline was over her like a hawk and took advantage of the situation. She tossed her back into the ring and played up on the head injury, slamming her head into everything from the turnbuckles to the canvas itself. She looked to end the match and she set Sable up for the Tornado DDT, but Sable pushed her off and took her down with a wicked kick. Sable seem even more fired up than ever both as she went right after her rival with a flurry of moves, all accumulating to the Sable Bomb! She hooked a leg, but behind the ref’s back Luna placed her other foot on the ropes! Sable couldn't believe it, responding with a baseball slide to Luna! Then numbers game quickly caught up though, as Jacqueline got back up and connected with the Tornado DDT! She covered himself, earning the three count and the Woman’s Championship. Winner and the NEW WWF Woman’s Champion: Jacqueline
Luna and Jacqueline were in pure joy as they had finally out done their rival Sable through their evil scheme. The ladies embraced in the ring as Jacqueline hoisted her newly won Woman’s Championship up in the air. She paraded around the ring with the title as Sable rolled to the outside, her head in her hands.
Backstage Mankind was shown in his locker room, holding onto his WWF Championship as he sat on a chair. His head was down as he inaudibly talked to himself in the corner. On another screen the Undertaker was shown prepping for the match as he was greeted by the Corporate team. ‘Taker stared at Vince before Vince offered his hand, saying “Good luck, we have your back.” Undertaker accepted briefly before walking off, the tension was in the air.
A video played, recapping the now near three year long rivalry between the Undertaker and Mankind that has now included the WWF Championship.
WWF Championship: Last Man Standing Match: Mankind© vs. The Undertaker: Mankind charged at the Undertaker, throwing rights and lefts at the skull. He eventually backed him up into a corner, only for the “Phenom” to turn it around. He threw Mankind into the corner himself and nailed him with punches and elbows. The match seemed to escalate quickly as they brawled to the outside, ‘Taker taking the advantage as he threw Mankind skull first into the ring post. Undertaker then grabbing Mankind and dropping his neck down onto the barricade. The challenger seemed like he was out to punish Mankind, but the champ was resilient and whipped him into the steel steps. He then walked over and tore apart the Spanish announce table, only to turn around and be chokeslammed into it! The referee began has first count of the match, Foley getting up at the five count. ’Taker approached his rival and got caught by a right hand as they continued to brawl around the ringside area. They finally made their way up the aisle way as the referee was in hot purist. Undertaker tried whipping him into the entrance way, but Mankind stopped it, and threw him into a crate. Foley himself then climbed up the crate, and into the crowd! The fans cheered as Undertaker followed him up there, the two brawling while hanging onto the guardrail. Mankind seemed like he had when he locked in the Mandible Claw, yet Undertaker wrapped his hand around his throat and chokeslammed him onto electrical equipment! The lights went out in the arena before a generator quickly turned on a spotlight to show Undertaker leaping onto Mick Foley with a leg drop! The fans went rabid as the referee began making his count again, Undertaker being the first one up at five; and much to Taker’s disbelief, Mankind picked himself up at the count of eight! The fight was on again as now the two began using weapons such as steel chairs, ladders, and even fire extinguishers. As they made their way back to ringside, Mick tore apart the WWF announce table. He knocked ‘Taker out on the table with a ring bell and made his way to the apron with a steel chair, just before leaping off and putting him through the table with the chair! The crowd chanted “Foley” as the referee began the count, Undertaker getting up at the count of six. As the two fought their way back into the ring, Mankind went for the Mandible Claw again, just for Undertaker to get him with the low blow. Undertaker then grabbed the chair and put it to his spine at least five times! Mankind refused to stay down however, taking another chair shot to the skull! Blood trickled from his skull, but the champion got back up, receiving three more chairs shots before going down. After taking ten chair shots, Undertaker resorted to his ace in the hole, taking out a shovel from the ring. He swung for Mankind’s head, Foley dodging the attack, and connecting with the Double Arm DDT! As both men were down, Kane’s pyro exploded as he made his way out with Paul Bearer. JR reminded us how it was Kane’s job given by Mr. McMahon to make sure Mankind did not leave WWF Champion. As Kane climbed the apron, however, the Rock ran out and pulled him down! The crowd exploded as Rock, in his workout gear, threw Kane head first into the steel steps, taking the giant down! Rock put up a table on the outside as Undertaker climbed onto the apron to get him, turning his back to Mick Foley, who grabbed the shovel! Foley hit ’Taker in the skull with the shovel as he fell backwards through the table. The shovel had broken as blood ran down Undertaker’s head, the referee making then ten count! Winner and STILL WWF Champion: Mankind
Mankind fell to his knees as the Rock climbed into the ring with the WWF Championship. Rock looked at the title, almost saying he wants the next shot, before handing it to Mick Foley. Foley’s shirt was stained with his blood as he climbed to the top rope, raising the title in the air. Kane insisted on going into the ring, but Paul Bearer insisted on him not. The Undertaker finally sat up on the outside, irate. Rock and Mankind stood tall in the ring and watched the Brothers of Destruction leave, has this conflict finally ended?
We are taken over to Jim Ross and Jerry “the King” Lawler, who are discussing that it’s finally time for the Royal Rumble match! JR goes over the rules, saying two superstars will start off the match. Every ninety seconds a new superstar will enter, and this will continue until thirty have entered. The only way to be eliminated is to be thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the floor, and this will continue until only one man is left standing. The winner of this match will go onto WrestleMania 15 with a guaranteed title match against the WWF Champion!
A video is played that highlights the Stone Cold Steve Austin-Mr. McMahon feud and Stone Cold’s journey to the Royal Rumble match tonight, and Vince promises Austin has “No chance in hell” at winning the Rumble!
30 Man Over the Top Rope Royal Rumble Match:
Entrant Number One: The Rock Entrant Number Two: Triple H The animosity here as it was the Corporation versus a rebel, perhaps, to kick off the 1999 Royal Rumble match. Triple H was the first one to strike, but the Rock quickly strikes back and forces “the Game” into the corner. Rock tried to whip him out of the corner, only for Hunter to counter it into a DDT. Triple H then tried to quickly toss the Rock out, the Rock hanging on as the third entrant made his way out. Entrant Number Three: Rob Van Dam RVD quickly ran down to the ring and tried to assist in eliminating the Rock. Rocky fought back despite the disadvantage, throwing punch after punch at the Corporation members. After neutralizing Hunter in the corner, Rock turned around into a spinning heel kick from Van Dam! Rob quickly hit the Roll of the Thunder, crashing down on the ribs. Van Dam grabbed Rock by the head, Rock countering it and throwing him right into Triple H as the clock went out. Entrant Number Four: Andrew Martin The Rock finally had some back up as RVD’s former bodyguard, Andrew Martin, came out. Martin went right after RVD, nearly throwing him over the top. Rock stomped away at Triple H in the corner, the tides in the match seemingly changing until Hunter nailed him with a low blow! The crowd jeered as he went after Martin, the Corporation double teaming the big man. They both tried to toss him overhead as the Rock came to the rescue. Entrant Number Five: Bob Holly This was Bob Holly’s first match since ditching his tag team partner last Sunday on HeAT. Holly seemed to be more motivated tonight as he took down the Rock right off the bat. He went to town on the “People’s Champion”, hammering him with huge shots. Meanwhile Martin threw RVD over the top rope, but with his amazing agility he hung onto the middle rope, spring boarded back into the ring, and took down Martin with a cross body! Entrant Number Six: Road Dogg Jesse James Oh you didn’t know? The crowd exploded as entrant number six, Road Dogg, made his way down even despite his neck injuries. As expected, he went after his former friend Triple H who betrayed him on Monday. He staggered him with multiple shots, nearly tipping him over the ropes until RVD made the save. Road Dogg took care of him by kicking him in the stomach and pushing him right into the Rock Bottom! Triple H and Bob Holly attacked them from behind and took them down as the clock ran out for entrant number seven. Entrant Number Seven: Ken Shamrock “The World’s Most Dangerous Man” charged down to the ring, officially making this a handicap for the Corporation members. Shamrock took Bob Holly down with a single shot and landed the Belly to Belly on Triple H. Ken seemed to be a ticking time bomb as he went after everybody, nailing a huge kick on Andrew Martin! RVD tried taking him down with a dropkick, only for Ken to catch his foot in mid air. He tried to apply the Ankle Lock, Triple H taking him out with a low blow from behind! Entrant Number Eight: Gangrel Triple H worked over Shamrock, trying to contain the irate superstar. Meanwhile the Rock brawled with Bob Holly and Andrew Martin worked over the injured Road Dogg in the corner. The vampire superstar made his way out to the ring with his goblet, spitting out blood before sliding into the ring and attack Andrew Martin. Meanwhile, on the other side of the ring, Bob went for a clothesline, but Rock ducked; sending Bob Holly over the top for the first elimination! Eliminated: Bob Holly (Rock, HHH, RVD, Martin, James, Shamrock, and Gangrel remain) Entrant Number Nine: Stone Cold Steve Austin The crowd exploded as Stone Cold marched his way out to the ring, Vince McMahon must be liking Austin’s starting number! The “Rattlesnake” did not give a damn however, as he gave the Stunner to both Gangrel and Andrew Martin upon entering the ring. Stone Cold then grabbed RVD and tossed him over the top rope, already taking out one Corporation member. Triple H tried attacking him from behind like on HeAT, Austin just absorbing the blow! Hunter tried running away, only to turn around into a clothesline from Road Dogg! He was out of allies as entrant ten made his way out Eliminated: Rob Van Dam (Rock, HHH, Martin, James, Shamrock, Gangrel, and Austin remain) Entrant Number Ten: Chris Jericho Chris Jericho seemed cocky as ever after his DQ victory over Owen Hart earlier tonight. “Y2J” started off strong, taking out Road Dogg as he entered the ring. He then tried to eliminate the Rock as Gangrel went after Austin, and perhaps the bounty. Gangrel swung his goblet, Austin ducked, and gave him a Stunner - sending him to the outside! Meanwhile, Martin went for the Big Boot onto Triple H, who pulled the rope down causing him to go over. Eliminated: Gangrel, Andrew Martin (Rock, HHH, James, Shamrock, Austin, and Jericho remain) Entrant Number Eleven: D-Von Dudley Stone Cold and Triple H went at it again as D-Von Dudley made his way out to the ring, barely having any time to recover from the brutal Falls Count Anywhere bout only hours ago. Shamrock was back up and he went after “Y2J”, who ended up tripping Shamrock, and causing his head to smash into the turnbuckle. Chris climbed to the middle rope and began striking Ken, who tried flipping him over. Jericho skinned the cat however and sneaked back into the ring. Entrant Number Twelve: WWF Tag Team Champion Faarooq Faarooq came charging down to the ring, almost immediately getting into a fight after D-Von Dudley. After what must have only been thirty seconds of brawling, D-Von hit a clothesline that sent both of them flying out of the ring. The refs had to work quickly to ensure that they did not begin fighting again. Back in the ring, Jericho and Triple H seemed liked they had formed a union as the tried to pick apart the fan favorites in the match. Road Dogg and Rock had already been taken out as they went after Shamrock, unaware that Austin was back up. He turned Jericho around and hit shot after shot as the buzzer went out. Eliminated: Faarooq, D-Von Dudley (Rock, HHH, James, Shamrock, Austin, and Jericho remain) Entrant Number Thirteen: The Godfather The Anaheim crowd was hot as the Godfather made his way out to the Rumble match with two of his Hos following him, a couple of them off with Intercontinental Champion Val Venis, of course. As he entered the ring, Godfather quickly had to face the union of Jericho and Triple H after they took out Austin with a chop block and clothesline combo. Godfather was doing well until Jericho clobbered him from behind, entrant number fourteen making his way out to the ring! Entrant Number Fourteen: Edge Edge was fired up after weeks of abuse from his Brood stablemates, coming out firing. He went after Jericho as Road Dogg was back up and he went after Triple H. Rock and Shamrock faced off in a corner on the opposite side of the ring while Godfather and Austin were still down. Edge was bringing it to Jericho much to the approval of the crowd, but on the other side of the ring, Triple H threw Road Dogg out after punching him in the throat! Eliminated: Road Dogg Jess James (Rock, HHH, Shamrock, Austin, Jericho, Godfather, and Edge remain) Entrant Number Fifteen: Owen Hart Jericho couldn’t catch a break as he had just fended off a rabid Edge. Owen Hart looked to finish what he had started earlier tonight as fired away on his rival. He locked in the Sharpshooter on Jericho, only for Triple H to sneak over and drill him with the DDT. Suddenly, out of no where, Austin popped up and took him down with a Stunner! The audience went nuts as Rock and Shamrock remained the only two standing as the two traded fists back and forth in the center of the ring. Entrant Number Sixteen: European Champion D-Lo Brown Shamrock seemed to have control of Rock as D-Lo took his time walking to the ring, cockily strutting while proudly displaying the European Championship that he had successfully defended against Godfather on RAW is WAR. Tonight would be a different story however, as he got leveled by a Godfather boot the second he stepped in the ring! Meanwhile Owen Hart and Jericho were back up in the ring, Owen nearly having Jericho eliminated until he hung onto the bottom rope. Entrant Number Seventeen: Christian Christian made his way out and immediately tended to his brother, Edge. To a shock, the two started to work together as they attacked former Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock. They seemed to be working well, only for Christian to dump Edge over the top rope and eliminate himself! Everyone, especially Edge, seemed baffled as the Brood left the arena. Back in the ring Rock and Triple H, one and two, started to go at it again as Steve Austin battled European Champion D-Lo Brown, the champ barely hanging on to the ropes to stay in the contest. Eliminated: Edge, Christian (Rock, HHH, Shamrock, Austin, Jericho, Godfather, Owen, and D-Lo remain) Entrant Number Eighteen: Jeff Jarrett As “Double J” made his way into the Rumble match with Debra at eighteen, he helped his fellow Corporation member in the assault on the Rock, the man who knocked him off at Armageddon last month. Little did he know, his rival Ken Shamrock was standing right behind him. As he finally turned around, Shamrock exploded on Jarrett, nearly taking him over the top until Triple H made the save. On the other side Jericho and Owen still were going at each other as Austin hit a stunner on D-Lo, sending him under the bottom rope. Entrant Number Nineteen: Billy Gunn Triple H was in for round two as “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn was now out for his shot at vengeance. Jarrett tried to prevent him from getting at his ally, only receiving a super kick for his troubles! Godfather now tried to eliminate Chris Jericho while Billy Gunn finally got his hands on Triple H! He pounded on his former friend, holding no punches as the crowd went wild. On the outside, D-Lo grabbed his title and slid back into the ring. He swung at Austin, Steve ducking the shot. He then grabbed D-Lo and threw him right into a Pimp Drop from Godfather! Entrant Number Twenty: Mark Henry In impressive fashion, Rock and Triple H were still in this. “The World’s Strongest Man” was out to assist his partner D-Lo, taking Austin down with a clothesline and the same for Godfather. Three superstars were then taken out of the match as Mark Henry and D-Lo double teamed Godfather, working together to throw their rival out of the ring. On the other side, Jericho hit Owen with a low blow and threw him over the top rope! Chris seemed confident as over as he taunted to the crowd, unaware of Ken Shamrock! Shamrock grabbed him by the head and quickly tossed him out! Eliminated: The Godfather, Owen Hart, Chris Jericho (Rock, HHH, Shamrock, Austin, D-Lo, Jarrett, Gunn, and Henry remain) Entrant Number Twenty-one: WWF Tag Team Champion Bradshaw Owen Hart was a man possessed on the outside, tackling Jericho and throwing right and lefts at his skull. All the referees rushed over to them in an effort to break them up, failing to see Rock and Billy Gunn toss Triple H over the top! Hunter took advantage of this, grabbing a steel chair. He then slid back into the ring and cracked the Rock in the skull! Rock was out as Hunter threw the chair out of the ring as officials had finally broken up the brawl. Entrant Number Twenty-two: Sean Waltman As Billy Gunn went back after Triple H, the other D-Generation X superstar ran out and clipped him from behind. Shamrock was quick to his rescue however, turning Waltman around and blasting him with a huge right. Shamrock went after the Corporation member, throwing him into the corner and opening up a world of hurt. Jarrett tried to eliminated Austin as D-Lo hung back on the top rope as Mark Henry stood in front of him, almost like a guard. Entrant Number Twenty-three: Bubba Ray Dudley Bubba charged to the ring, looking to get some payback on one half of the Acolytes. The two rough dudes traded stiff shots as Austin fought off Jarrett and decided to go after Mark Henry. D-Lo Brown didn’t realize his bodyguard was gone, allowing Billy Gunn to tip him off the top! D-Lo was irate, but he got the last laugh as Jeff Jarrett and Waltman sneaked up behind Gunn and tossed him over the ropes! D-Lo mocked Gunn and it seemed like the two would come to blows, but a referee made it sure that nothing would go down. Eliminated: D-Lo Brown, Billy Gunn (Rock, HHH, Shamrock, Austin, Jarrett, Henry, Bradshaw, Waltman, and Bubba Ray remain) Entrant Number Twenty-four: Intercontinental Champion Val Venis As Val Venis made his way into the ring and started brawling with Jeff Jarrett, Faarooq made his way back out with the Jackyl! He slid into the ring and double teamed Austin with Bradshaw, the Jackyl looking to make good on the bounty much like others before him tonight! The fans in the arena jeered as the Acolytes drilled Stone Cold, only until he suddenly started fighting back. He rammed their heads together and threw Faarooq over the top for the second time tonight, Austin flipping off the Jackyl! Entrant Number Twenty-five: The Big Show Austin smirked upon hearing the Big Show’s entrance theme, the giant making his way out with the McMahons. Meanwhile, Jarrett looked to earn the bounty as he grabbed his guitar and stalked Austin. He went to hit Austin as he turned around, but Ken Shamrock stopped him! Suddenly Debra hopped on the apron and distracted Shamrock. He seemed frozen, allowing Jeff to dump him over the top rope! Eliminated: Ken Shamrock (Rock, HHH, Austin, Jarrett, Henry, Bradshaw, Waltman, Bubba Ray, Venis, and Big Show remain) Entrant Number Twenty-six: Steven Regal Shamrock was besides himself, trashing the ringside area as officials tried to contain him. Jarrett was now cocky and he did a strut the ring, allowing Val to take the opportunity to throw him over the top rope! Shane McMahon was ticked as now Val did the taunting, gyrating for Debra! Meanwhile, Austin had finally met the Big Show, and the two traded shots. Rock quickly ran over to assist and the two hammered away on the giant until he somehow fought them both off. Eliminated: Jeff Jarrett (Rock, HHH, Austin, Henry, Bradshaw, Waltman, Bubba Ray, Venis, Big Show, and Regal remain) Entrant Number Twenty-seven: Hardcore Champion Al Snow Stone Cold wanted to go back after the Big Show, but Steven Regal wanted in on McMahon’s bounty himself and blasted him in the back of the head with Brass Knuckles! Austin collapsed on the mat to the applause of the Corporate team. Val Venis was barely hanging on in the corner as Mark Henry tried to throw him over, and D-Generation X worked over Rock on the other side of the ring. Entrant Number Twenty-eight: Kane Things seemed to only get better for the Corporate team as the “Big Red Machine” Kane marched his way to ringside with Paul Bearer by his side. Kane was clearly upset about what happened earlier in the WWF Championship contest. He threw DX away from the corner and went after the Rock himself, despite the fact Mr. McMahon was telling him to go after Austin. Kane was relentless, smashing Rock with strike after strike until Paul Bearer had to convince him to after Austin as entrant number twenty-nine made his way out, but not before dumping Bradshaw over the top. Eliminated: Bradshaw (Rock, HHH, Austin, Henry, Waltman, Bubba Ray, Venis, Big Show, Regal, Snow, and Kane remain) Entrant Number Twenty-nine: Rey Mysterio The former Light Heavyweight Champion was making his debut in the Royal Rumble, making a grand entrance by taking Sean Waltman down with a springboard hurricanrana! Meanwhile, Kane and Steven Regal (still going after the bounty) tried throwing Austin over the top. Rock came to rescue again, but this time to go after his rival. In a champion versus champion battle, Val Venis and Al Snow went back and forth until Val eliminated the last remaining Hell’s Henchmen member in the match. Eliminated: Al Snow (Rock, HHH, Austin, Henry, Waltman, Bubba Ray, Venis, Big Show, Regal, Kane, and Mysterio remain) Entrant Number Thirty: Chyna History has been made as the first woman ever has entered the Royal Rumble! As Chyna made her way out to the ring to greet her D-Generation X/Corporation teammates, Kane and Rock had brawled to the outside, neither man going over the top. Mark Henry and Steven Regal tried tossing Austin over for the bounty, but Stone fought them off. He pulled the rope down and sent Mark Henry over, and shot right back up to hit the Stunner on the “Lord of the WWF” and tossed him out! Eliminated: Mark Henry, Steven Regal (Rock, HHH, Austin, Waltman, Bubba Ray, Venis, Big Show, Kane, Mysterio, and Chyna remain) As Regal connected with the mat, Kane grabbed the Rock by the throat and threw him into the steel ring post! Rock was out as Kane climbed back into the ring, tossing Bubba Ray Dudley over the top rope with one hand! Eliminated: Bubba Ray Dudley (Rock, HHH, Austin, Waltman, Venis, Big Show, Kane, Mysterio, and Chyna remain) Chyna, the first woman to ever compete in the Rumble, looked to finally get revenge on Val Venis. As he was fighting off Sean Waltman, she attacked him from behind, trying to throw him over the top. She was just about to do it, but Stone Cold had other plans. He grabbed her by the legs and dumped her out of the ring! Chyna was in shock, and Austin just flipped her other! Meanwhile, on the other side of the ring, Big Show hoisted Mysterio over his head and threw him on the outside, Rey landing on Bubba Ray. Eliminated: Chyna, Rey Mysterio (Rock, HHH, Austin, Waltman, Venis, Big Show, and Kane remain) Seven men were left in the match, and four of them belonged to the Corporation. Mr. McMahon was as confident as ever as D-Generation X went after Stone Cold. Rock was finally back up and nearly eliminated Kane until Big Show made the save. As Triple H held Austin up so Waltman could strike him, Val paid back the favor and threw Waltman over the top rope! Hunter would end up having the last laugh however, as he quickly nailed Val with a chop block and threw him over. Eliminated: Sean Waltman, Val Venis (Rock, HHH, Austin, Big Show, and Kane remain) This was it. We were down to the final five. Kane charged at Rock in the corner, but Rock side stepped it, causing Kane collide with the steel. Stone Cold went after the Big Show again, trying to somehow throw the big guy over the top rope. Meanwhile, Triple H attacked Rock from behind as somehow these number one and two entrants still survived. This wouldn’t be for long, however, as Triple H tried throwing Rock over the top. Rock countered, hit the Rock Bottom, and tossed him out! (Triple H has been eliminated) Big Show and Kane went back and forth with shots on Stone Cold until the Rock came over. He tried to take out the giants, but they grabbed him by the throat and hit a double Chokeslam! This allowed Austin just enough time to climb up the top and take both men down with a huge double clothesline. Austin was fired up and went for his signature elbow, only for Shane to pull him out of the ring. Steve was ready to attack though, throwing Shane into the ring post! This distraction, however, allowed the Corporate team just enough time to throw Rock out of the ring! (The Rock has been eliminated) Stone Cold couldn’t believe it as he now had to go through the two monster of the Corporation to win, still, he did not hesitate. Austin grabbed a chair and went right after them, smacking Show so hard he fell backwards and got tied up in the ropes! Vince started to freak out on the outside as Austin smacked Kane in the head with the chair over and over and over. It must have been six times before he finally got the lucky shot that sent him over. (Kane has been eliminated) Austin turned around and saw Big Show tied up in the ropes and smirked. Briscoe and Patterson acted quickly however and they slid into the ring. Austin took Briscoe out with the chair and took our Patterson with the Stunner! The fans in attendance were going nuts as Stone Cold turned his attention to Big Show. He hammered him with shot after shot until Mr. McMahon came in and grabbed the chair. Vince swung and hit Austin in the back, the chair barely even fazing the “Rattlesnake”! Vince went to swing again, but Stone Cold quickly took him out with the right hand! This distraction allowed Big Show to break free with help from Shane, and the giant grabbed Austin by the throat. With all his force, he pushed Austin over the top rope, and he was the last one standing! |

The winner of the 1999 Royal Rumble Match: The Big ShowThe fans jeered, but Austin was silent in shock. Shane McMahon and the goons greeted Big Show in the ring in a massive celebration, Vince just waking up from the right. He was also in shock, yet he had a smile of joy on his face. Stone Cold insisted on going back into the ring, only for referees to get in the way. Mr. McMahon grabbed a microphone and proudly proclaimed; “Ladies and gentlemen, your winner of the 1999 Royal Rumble match… the Big Show!” Vince then turned to Austin, telling him; “I told you Austin! I told you that you had no chance in hell! I win, Austin! You lose! You’re not going to WrestleMania!” Vince laughed, and Austin snapped. He took out a referee and charged the ring, but the Corporate team quickly bailed. Austin stood in the ring in bitter disappointment as the Royal Rumble went off the air.

Glad to see Christopher is still the champion. I hope he is built up as a midcarder at some point. His cocky persona is perfect. I like the mind games that Gangrel is seemingly playing with Edge. A good final segment leading into the PPV. I think we will see Austin/HHH at Mania for some reason.
I like the choice to kick off the show, a hard hitting falls count anywhere match for the gold. I'll assume the Jericho/Owen feud is going to keep on going. I won't complain about that. Another good match between Venis and Pac. The finish to the Last Man Standing match was alright, not sure if I like Rock and Kane getting involved in the match, but it sets up some feuds, I guess. I hope you keep Show as the Rumble winner and don't allow Austin get a shot at Mania. I enjoyed the overall show and the build up to Mania should be interesting.

WWF Royal Rumble: Sunday 24th January 1999...So behind on this, so I'm going to start replying from here. Good opening contest with the WWF Tag Team Championships on the line, and given the competitors' limited abilities in the ring, a Falls Count Anywhere match was the right route to go with. And finally, this is the Last Chance match, I remember being annoyed when this was still going on. Great title defense by the Acolytes, and I admired how the Jackyl came into play. Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin got into a brawl? Interesting. The Undertaker coming into this segment was strange if you ask me. Just a tiny note, that's the 1998 Royal Rumble logo you're using on these graphics, but I assume you've noticed due to the block logo in the middle. Not a big gripe, per se. Solid match-up between Chris Jericho and Owen Hart, and the disqualification finish looks like it's going to continue into WrestleMania XV: not a massive problem with that, but it's already been running for something around six weeks, with another sixty days until WrestleMania. Hopefully there's some buffering in between. The post-match angle was odd to me, it just got Jericho more over as a heel. I think it could be too soon for the unexperienced Y2J in the big leagues. Good concept though. I've liked the way you've handled Val Venis' transition up the card in recent months, and a solid WWF Intercontinental Championship defence tonigth against Sean Waltman. I am hoping that this is the end of Venis and D-Generation X's feud - or at least nearing. Jacqueline won the WWF Women's Championship? Strange call, given Sable was getting most popular here with her being on the cover of Playboy Magazine, but ah well. I wonder what the women's division will be like headed closer to WrestleMania. Up next, awesome semi-main event re-enacting their Hell in a Cell war at Armageddon: In Your House last month. The Undertaker destroying Mankind was great, in a similar manner to how the Rock did in the I Quit match; I liked this a lot. The aftermath I could have done without or saved for RAW is WAR the next night though, seemed very TV-like; and considering that the Rock and Kane are both in the Royal Rumble match...ah well. Mankind as WWF Champion still is an odd call; and it doesn't look like you're planning on keeping Undertaker and Kane as a union going into WrestleMania either...I see dissension appearing again between the two. Unless this is your method of starting up the Ministry of Darkness. That'd be cool. And lastly, very strange to have the Rock in back-to-back segments like that, entering at number one here. I hope to see both Triple H and Rock with WWF Championship reigns by the year's end, by the way. You've done a great job of padding up the Rumble with star power, may I add. Road Dogg's back? Nice! Strange that Stone Cold Steve Austin entered so early, you could have padded this out a bit more. It was really strange to see Rock, Triple H and Austin still in the match by the near-conclusion/twenties though, like I said, could have done with some pacing out. I was really surprised to see Rey Mysterio Jr eliminated so late in the match, too. Good call to have it come down to Big Show and Austin though, with lovely interference from the Corporation. Show won the Royal Rumble? Dammit! Overall, quite an eventful show setting the tone growing on the Road to WrestleMania. Little to complain about, other than how it seemed a little too packed for a show with the Rumble match on.

Royal Rumble: 1/24/99
Nice graphics. Who made 'em? A great bout to kick off the show, reminds me of Royal Rumble '00. I do think you should've gone through with the Jackyl being put through the table. Would've been an awesome moment with the crowd reaction to back it up. The Acolytes retaining was expected, though I do wonder what's next. I can't see the Dudley Boyz falling out of the title picture, but if this feud were to continue, where does it go after a Tables Match? Looks like the Jericho/Owen feud will be continuing. I'm down for that. Good DQ finish to that. Next, good title defense for WWF Intercontinental Champion Val Venis over Sean Waltman. As I said before, I would love for the pay off of this feud to be Venis/Chyna at 'Mania. Oh wow. Wasn't expecting to see the Women's Championship change hands tonight. Not that it makes me anymore interested in this feud, but it is surprising. Brutal Last Man Standing match here. Rock and Kane getting involved, I could've done without. But I feel it's to set up something bigger for the future, perhaps a Four Way at St. Valentine's Day Massacre? Mankind retaining the title is fine, curious to see if Mrs. Foley's baby boy is indeed the one who will enter 'Mania XV as the World Wrestling Federation Champion. And now, the Royal Rumble match! Really glad to see Triple H last so long. Loved me some Game during this time period, and I hope there's so much more in store for him in 1999. Wow, Big Show actually won. Show/Mankind as the main event of WrestleMania XV. I'll take your word and let everything play out first. Overall, a very good Royal Rumble. Excited to see where we go from here on the Road to WrestleMania XV!

Nice win for the Acolytes. It would've been nice seeing Jackyl go through the table, but maybe he'll get his eventually. Jericho winning via DQ has me believing the feud will continue, possibly until Wrestlemania. Val winning is fantastic for him. You've done a good job raising him up the card. WOW! I wasn't expecting Jacqueline to get the win. I thought Sable would hold the belt until Mania, at least. Not really surprised to see Mankind win, but I'll be surprised to see him enter Mania as champion. Road Dogg's return was nice. I really like how much stars there are in the rumble match. Pretty much every entrant is a name, or has something going on. I love how long Rock and Triple H lasted. I'm surprised to see Big Show win the Rumble, but I'm happy surprised. Hopefully, nothing happens where Stone Cold ends up getting the shot. Grand ol' show, but I'll be surprised if it ends up Mankind vs. Big Show at Wrestlemania. Keep up the good work.

I like that you didn't neglect Heat as it was a pretty big deal around this time. Wish Edge would've gotten his first taste of gold here though. Love the inclusion of the Dudley Boyz in this, and can't wait to see them claim some Tag Team gold. Owen/Jericho is kind of a dream match for me, and I hope this stretches until WrestleMania. I always liked Val Venis as Intercontinental Champion so I'm glad he retained here. Surprised to see Jacqueline win the belt at first, but I feel like Sable regaining it at 'Mania would be best so the face can chase the title. Intense and brutal WWF Title match. Loved the involvement of Rock and Kane, and nice to see Mankind retain. Rock and Triple H as 1-2 is excellent. Shocked that Show won the Rumble, loved the good showings from Mysterio, HHH and Austin. Don't see Mankind/Show main eventing WrestleMania though. Regardless, an overall good show and can't wait to see what's in store on the Road to WrestleMania.

WWF @ Phenoix, AZ - America West Arena - January 25, 1999 A video is played to recap last night’s Royal Rumble pay per view. It first featured the Last Man Standing match between Mankind and the Undertaker for the WWF Championship. The two warriors went back and forth and nearly killed each other. Kane tried to interfere, but was stopped by the Rock, allowing Mankind to knock Undertaker out with a shovel for the win! It skipped over to the Royal Rumble match, where it came down to Austin, Kane, and the Big Show. Austin got Kane over with a steel chair shot, but the goons quickly made their way into the ring. Stone Cold took them both out before Mr. McMahon provided a distraction, allowing Big Show to throw him over the top for the win!
The pyrotechnics sounded off as RAW is WAR came onto the air, Jim Ross and the King welcoming us to the fallout show of the Royal Rumble! King promised a great night because now Austin isn’t going to WrestleMania XV, and the Corporation will have a celebration for the Big Show in the ring later on tonight! Jim Ross talked about how tonight we will decide a number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship at the special St. Valentine’s Day Massacre Pay-Per-View was Jeff Jarrett and Ken Shamrock face off for the final time! Also tonight, after last week’s shocking attack, Triple H of the Corporation/DX alliance will go one on one with his ex-friend “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn. Suddenly, WWF Champion Mankind’s theme hit to a huge reaction from the crowd as he made his way out with Mr. Socko.
Mankind grabbed a microphone, thanking Phenoix, Arizona for the warm reaction! The crowd cheered as Mankind said he’s just twenty four hours removed from one of the toughest battles of his life. He was put through an announcer’s table, he was hit with a chair nearly ten times in the head, and he was even chokeslammed onto electrical equipment! He laughed and said none of that could keep him down, because as he promised, nothing could hold him from his dream, the WWF Championship. Suddenly he was interrupted by the Rock, who got another huge reception from the crowd. Rock took a microphone and congratulated Mankind on the win, but said now that the Brothers of Destruction are taken care of, the Rock wants one thing from Mankind. Rock’s eyes wandered over to the WWF Championship, before he challenged Mankind to go one on one with the Great One for the title at the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre! The fans went wild as Mankind seemed pretty content with the challenge, but the two were interrupted by the Undertaker’s theme. ‘Taker quickly marched his way out to the ring with his brother, Kane, and Paul Bearer by his side. Undertaker grabbed a microphone and told them he had the WWF Championship won until he, the Rock, stuck his nose where it doesn’t belong! Undertaker told them there was hell to pay for their actions, but the Rock cut him off. Rock told Undertaker he, his intellectually- disabled person of a brother, and fat sack of crap father in law could not intimidate the “Brahma Bull.” He told them to crawl back to whatever funeral home they came from, because the millions and MILLIONS of the Rock’s fans are chanting his name to be the next number one contender. As soon as he stopped talking, all the fans in attendance started chanting “Rocky, Rocky, Rock!” “No Chance in Hell” blasted over the PA System as Mr. McMahon made his way to the stage with Pat Patterson and Jerry Briscoe by his side. Vince said he knew how to settle this all. Regardless of the result of tonight’s main event, there will be a Fatal Four Way for the WWF title at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. Mankind will defend against the Rock, the Undertaker, and Kane! Vince said he wasn’t done yet, because tonight the Rock will get his shot for the title match in the main event. To ensure neither man will pull any punches, if there is not a competitive match, they will be removed from the Fatal Four Way. Also, the special guest referee will be Pat Patterson! The fans booed as Rock and Mick Foley quickly locked eyes, but the Undertake was ticked! The Brothers of Destruction went after Vince for answers as we went to a break.
Break
Following the break, we see a replay of Mr. McMahon announcing tonight’s main event of Rock versus Mankind for the WWF Championship with Pat Patterson as the guest referee. A graphic hypes the match before it sways away as the Brothers of Destruction have confronted the Corporate Trio. Undertaker asked Vince what the hell was going on, before Mr. McMahon told him his plan. Tonight the Rock and Mankind will destroy each other like a bunch of idiots, and then they will be no match for the Brothers of Destruction at the pay-per-view! ’Taker told Vince not to fail him again before leaving.
Non-title; European Champion D-Lo Brown(w/Mark Henry) def. TAKA Michinoku: After coming up short in last night’s Royal Rumble, the European Champion regained some steam after knocking off the former Light Heavyweight Champion with the Sky High.
Mark Henry handed his friend and partner the European Championship as D-Lo grabbed a microphone. He said it’s about time everybody recognizes that he is the greatest champion in the WWF today! Week in and week out, he has defeated everyone that has been foolish enough to step in the ring with him and his man, the “World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. D-Lo was interrupted as the Godfather made his way out to the stage with the Ho Train behind him. Godfather had a microphone and told D-Lo he had an offer for him. He wants another shot at the European Championship at the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. D-Lo did not seem impressed, only before Godfather told him he’ll give him and Mark a ho each if he won! Mark smiled and encouraged D-Lo to take the offer, the champ hesitating before finally accepting. Godfather seem pleased, but Mark seemed even happier!
Break
The Corporation were shown backstage, minus the Undertaker. Vince stood by the Big Show, congratulating him on his Royal Rumble victory last night. Vince informs him that because he was the one who eliminated Stone Cold, he’ll be getting the prize of the bounty, 100,000 dollars! Show seemed pleased and nodded his head, McMahon informing him they’ll be celebrating the win in the ring tonight once the armored truck shows up with his money.
A replay is shown from last night with Jacqueline and Luna Vachon injuring Sable’s friend Ivory just before the Woman’s title match, and then Jacqueline capturing the title later on.
Luna Vachon(w/Jacqueline) def. Sable VIA DQ: Enraged by the attack on her friend and championship lost last night, Sable went ballistic on Luna. She had her backed into the corner, relentless striking, refusing to stop for the referee’s five count.
Sable continued the assault as Jacqueline slid into the ring with the title. She tried to hit Sable with it, but it was ducked, and Sable tackled her to the ground! The crowd cheered as a cat fight had broken out on Monday Night RAW. Luna was quick to the attack though, ripping off Sable’s top! Jacqueline used the distraction to nail her in the back of the head with the Woman’s title. Sable was knocked out on the mat; stripped to her bra as the devious female duo stood over her, laughing.
Billy Gunn was shown reciting the New Age Outlaws’ introduction with help from the injured Road Dogg backstage, Billy goes one on one with Triple H tonight!
Break
An armored truck was shown arriving to the arena, presumably holding the Big Show’s 100,000 cash prize inside. The Corporation will be out in the ring after out next bout!
Back in the arena Chris Jericho was in the ring with a microphone. He talked about how last night was a success, and now he is undefeated on WWF pay-per-view! He said he really showed Owen Hart who is truly the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be! Jericho also said he promised Owen would never be the same again after he defeated him, and now it is time for “Y2J” to move onto bigger and better things. Where, in his mind, he should have been all along. Before Jericho could say more, Owen Hart came out onto the stage. Owen told him enough is enough, and it’s time for a change! He said he was done playing his games, and he was giving him five seconds until he went down there and kicked his ass! The fans popped as Jericho surprisingly laughed at him. Chris told him there will never be a rematch, or even another brawl, because he’s slapped on a restraining order on him! “In fact, you’re violating it right now. Security, get it out here now and escort this piece of trash from the arena before I throw him in jail!” Security came out and restrained Owen as Jericho waved good bye, the Hardy Brothers making their way out for their match.
The Brood(w/Gangrel) versus The Hardy Brothers Ends in a No Contest: About a minute in this match, Hell’s Henchmen ran out and assaulted all four men.
After both teams were down, Al threw Gangrel into the ring post and joined back in on assaulting the tag teams. The Jackyl took a microphone and said now that the Dudley Boyz have been defeated, nothing can stop the darkness from consuming and eventually controlling the World Wrestling Federation. He said, in reference to the Brood, everybody must now band together for good to stop them. Or, they can bow down to the Jackyl!
Backstage the camera showed the parking lot where the armored truck was before, revealing that it was missing! Shane McMahon was shown shouting at a guard, asking where it went, as RAW is WAR went to a break.
Break
The Corporation makes their way out to the ring, minus the Undertaker again, no longer in the party mood.
