Loving the decision to do the 4-way at Massacre. I, honestly, don't know who is going to win. I still can't picture Mankind going into Wrestlemania as champion. A good win for D'Lo to keep his momentum going. I'm intrigued by the match between him and Godfather. I hope we get some sort of skits out of it involving Henry and a ho, if D'Lo wins. It could be really funny. I'm excited for the celebration for Big Show. An armored truck being brought in? Seems like Stone Cold could do something there. I liked the vicious Sable that came out tonight. I can see a Bra & Panties/Evening Gown match taking place in the near future. Interesting segment with Jericho and Owen. I knew the feud would continue, but I'm intrigued by the restraining order. I don't really know how Owen can get out of it. I like how Hell's Henchman just destroyed everyone. It looks like they could dominate the entire tag division. I knew Stone Cold would steal the truck. I really hope Austin/Show isn't for the title shot. I would like to see Show go to the main event, but I don't see it happening if their match is for the shot. A good win for Jarrett. Should be interesting to see what unfolds between Venis and Shamrock. I would like to see a Triple Threat for the IC Title somewhere down the line. I loved how Billy wrote the introduction down on his hand. I am shocked that he beat Hunter. That's a huge upset in my book. It was a great win for Gunn, though. It seems like these two might rematch at Massacre. It was great to see Mankind kind of take advantage of the DQ's, or lack there of. I expected it to go to a no-contest. I like the beating from the B.O.D. afterwards. Halftime Heat should be interesting, but I see Mankind retaining. I actually think The Undertaker is my pick to win the match at St. Valentine's Day Massacre. I think Taker will win the title and Stone Cold will end up getting the shot. Another good show. I really like the time frame this is set in and I also really like some of the decisions you've made. I'm really looking forward to the 4-Way and Godfather/Brown at the PPV. It should be good.

Good episode of Raw. I'm fascinated at how you're finding ways to incorporated what happened in the real world, only with different participants. The Undertaker/Mankind empty arena match should be fine, though I don't knwo if it'll be as entertaining as he one with The Rock. I don't know if you're going to change the title before the fatal-fourway match at the pay-per-view, we'll just have to see. The Austin/Big Show match is also intriguing. If the title shot is on the line I could see Ausitn winning, otherisw I predict Austin is going to lose due to screwy means to set up his match at Wrestlemania.
Good stuff here, Keep it up.

Hey, I was right. Fatal Four Way at St. Valentine's Day Massacre! You've done a good job at making the last stop before 'Mania an unpredictable one. I can't see Mankind going in as champion, but I'm not too sure which of the other three will win the title. Solid opening contest win for D-Lo. Fun little segment afterwards with the Godfather. Forget the title match at St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Is that Sexual Chocolate I see? Big Show makin' that money, money, yeah yeah. I liked seeing a different side of Sable tonight, though I'm pretty sure the audience enjoyed seeing her side boobs instead. I'm glad the Jericho/Owen feud will be continuing, but wow. A great heel move by Jericho to slap a restraining order on him. Aw, a bit saddened that the Brood and the Hardys only got a minute in before Hell's Henchmen attacked. Hoping that by the end of the year, that match will become a high profile feud. Jackyl's promo was very "Ministry" like. Austin 3:16 says I just stole your truck. Free money! An excellently written segment. If Austin/Show isn't for the title shot just yet, I wonder what Austin will have to do next to change that. While Jarrett is the No. 1 contender, the finish and aftermath is giving me the impression that we'll see a Triple Threat at St. Valentine's Day Massacre. I would also expect that Val may have a Valentine's gift for Debra when the time rolls around. Whoa, wasn't expecting Billy Gunn to get the win. Interested in seeing what's next between him, Hunter, and the rest of the imploded D-X. Finally, a great WWF Championship main event. The DQ finish sets up St. Valentine's Day Massacre nicely. Keeping the Empty Arena Match on Halftime HeAT is fine, but I imagine it won't be anywhere near as entertaining as it was in real life without the Rock's comedy there. Overall, a good fallout edition of RAW is WAR.

Nice opening promo with the four top guys for the WWF Championship. I like the idea of a fatal four way match between them. Good match between D-Lo and TAKA, with the obvious decision being to have D-Lo win. Lol at the stipulation after the match from The Godfather, and of course Mark Henry loves it. CAT FIGHT!!! CAT FIGHT!!! CAT FIGHT!!! Nice shot at Bret by Jericho towards Owen. Sneaky . Restraining order? That's interesting. But of course Jericho would do that. Good to see the tag division getting a bunch of guys rambling around everywhere. Nice promo with Austin stealing the cash, and I love the realistic nature of him tossing the money to the crowd like that. Good way to give Double J the contendership and cause friction between ShamWow and Valllllll Venisssss. Billy Gunn with a shocking win over Triple H? Whaaaat. I'll let it play out. Interesting way to do the main event with Rock and Mankind beating up Patterson. Good way to finish the show and the Empty Arena Match!? BAH GAWD! BAH GAWD! EMPTY ARENA MATCH! BAH GAWD! Good show, but as you noted it was a little stuffed with the faulty endings.

WWF @ Phenoix, AZ - America West Arena - January 31, 1999 HeAT opens up with the usual introduction video before we are greeted by the commentary duo of Shane McMahon and Kevin Kelly. They talk about how they are only a little bit of time away from Halftime HeAT as Mankind and Undertaker collide in an Empty Arena match for the WWF Title, but there’s still plenty before that! Steven Regal goes one on one with Bubba Ray Dudley, and Intercontinental Champion Val Venis is in action against the Corporate Team’s Rob Van Dam! Shane promises the WWF title is coming home to the Corporation tonight as Mr. McMahon’s music cuts him off from saying more.
Vince comes out with a microphone hand, and he’s alone, looking to make out on his promise to call out Stone Cold here tonight. McMahon marches into the ring and says he is not a coward like everybody thought he was! He says he has grapefruits, and that’s why he is calling out Stone Cold Steve Austin right here, and right now. Austin wastes no time in coming out as the glass shatters and he heads out to the ring. Steve tells Vince he doesn’t give a damn about what he was going to say, because Stone Cold wants one thing. He wants the title shot to be on the line at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre; and if it’s not, he’s going to stomp a mud hole into him and walk it dry. Vince tells Austin he can’t intimidate him, he’s Vince McMahon! He says he’s told Austin over and over you do not cross the boss, but now the boss has a deal for him. “Austin, I hate your guts. And I know you hate mine too. That’s why I know the one that just perhaps you want more than the WWF Championship. You want to kick my ass, Austin, I know it! You know it! Everybody knows it! That’s why I’ll make this offer, I’ll let you pick your poison. If you win at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, you get the title match against whoever the champion may be. However, if you choose to lose - yes I mean choose. You’ll get me one on one whenever you want.” Steve looks a little surprised by the announcement, but eventually tells Vince he accepts. “Now, let’s say I ‘choose’ to lose this match. Give me a hell yeah if you want a little sneak peak of what’s going to happen when ol’ Stone Cold Steve Austin opens up a can of whoop ass on Vince McMahon!” In unison, the crowd shouts “HELL YEAH!” as Vince pleads with Stone Cold. He’ll hear none of it, and he prompts to lay McMahon out with the Stunner! The fans explode as Austin gets in Vince’s face and flips him off. He gets back up and poses on the turnbuckles for the crowd, but will Austin choose to face the champion or Vince McMahon at WrestleMania XV?
Break
A replay is shown of Mr. McMahon announcing the stipulation for Steve Austin versus the Big Show at the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. If Austin wins, he’ll get the WWF Championship match; but if he “chooses” to lose, he’ll get McMahon instead! Steve wouldn’t wait for the pay-per-view however, laying Vince out with a Stunner after the announcement.
After Steven Regal had made his entrance, the Dudley Boyz came out with a table. What are they planning with the table?
Steven Regal def. Bubba Ray Dudley(w/D-Von Dudley) VIA DQ: Clearly irate about having no more title matches with the Acolytes, Bubba took his anger out on Regal. After four minutes of action, he finally snapped and put Regal through the table with a Powerbomb!
The audience popped as Steven Regal was laid out in a rubble of wood and splinters on the outside. The referee tried to reason with Bubba, but he was going berserk. He decked him with a huge right as D-Von slid another table into the ring. The Dudley Boyz stalked the referee as he staggered to his feet, eventually putting him through the table with the Dudley Death Drop! Security and staff ran out to restrain the Dudley Boyz as two victims have felt their wrath tonight on HeAT.
A special video package plays of Mankind and Undertaker’s feud. They face off in an Empty Arena match for the WWF Championship tonight!
Break
Returning from the commercials, Shane and Kevin recap what we just saw with the Dudley Boyz putting Steven Regal and referee through tables. Following the replay, Intercontinental Champion Val Venis makes his way out to a warm reception from the crowd.
As enters the ring, Val takes a microphone from Tony Chimel. “Hello, ladies!” Val lets out a smirk and says in two weeks time he has Jeff Jarrett on pay-per-view for the Intercontinental Championship. He makes a promise and says he’s going to have something else on Valentine’s Day; Debra!
Non-title; Intercontinental Champion Val Venis def. Rob Van Dam: Two weeks before his match with Jarrett, Val took out another Corporation member, “Mr. Monday Night”, with the Money Shot on HeAT.
Following the match Val gyrated in the ring for the female fans with the Intercontinental Championship as Jeff Jarrett made his way out to the stage with Debra. Val smirked while he and Jarrett began to trade words, allowing RVD to sneak in a spinning heel kick to the back of the head! The fans booed as Jarrett slid into the ring and a two-on-one beat down as now taking place. Suddenly, Ken Shamrock’s theme hit as the “World’s Most Dangerous” man sprinted down to the ring with a steel chair! The Corporate Team bailed as Ken swung the chair around like a mad man. Meanwhile, Val got up and saw Shamrock standing in the ring with a chair. Val began asking Shamrock questions about what happened in a scene similar to RAW is WAR!
Break
As we awaited Halftime HeAT to get underway, the announce team bring us to a replay of Mankind vs. The Rock for the WWF Championship on RAW is WAR. The two went back and forth and threw everything at each other to walk out with the WWF championship. Of course, it was soon broken up by the Brothers of Destruction. The B.O.D. laid out both of the competitors, causing Pat Patterson to throw the match out. As the duo were leaving, Mankind got back up and took a microphone. He proceeded to challenge Undertaker to an Empty Arena match for tonight, which ‘Taker accepted! Following the match, Shane and Kevin Kelly introduced us to a replay of Stone Cold hijacking the armored truck containing Big Show’s hundred thousand dollars. Austin kept some money for himself and threw the majority of what was left into the crowd for the people. The Corporation would soon attack however, and Big Show chokeslammed Austin right on the hood of the truck! A graphic appeared, hyping the Big Show versus Stone Cold at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. Shane reminded us of the stipulation; if Austin won he got the title match at WrestleMania, but if he “chooses” to lose he’ll get Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania instead!
Up next is Halftime HeAT, Mankind defends the WWF Championship against the Undertaker in an Empty Arena match!
Break
In the empty arena, Mr. McMahon made his way to the announcers table to call the action for the Empty Arena match.
Empty Arena Match for the WWF Championship: Mankind© def. The Undertaker: This match was brutal and hard hitting. These two men destroyed each other with no one around to stop them. Notable spots included Mankind putting him through the announcers table with a DDT; Undertaker chokeslaming Mankind into a group of steel folding chairs from a higher level; Foley hitting the challenger with a Piledriver onto a snack table; and ‘Taker hitting Mankind with a Powerbomb onto a crate and then pushing the crate down a flight of stairs! These two eventually fought to a garage where Foley knocked Undertaker out onto a bunch of wood pallets with multiple shots from a fire extinguisher. With his rival knocked out, Mankind climbed to the top of a production truck. He then took another leap of faith, and this time it connected! Foley draped his arm over Undertaker’s chest and the referee counted the three.
McMahon expressed his concern and disappointment as the referee handed Mankind the WWF Championship. Undertaker was still out on the pallets as Foley climbed back on top of the truck and celebrated with the WWF Championship, Halftime HeAT going off the air!

Interesting stipulation for Austin/Show. I want Show to win the match, but I see Austin winning it and getting the title shot. I love how Austin is put in this predicament, though. Two things he wants more than anything, the title and to kick Vince's ass. I'm interested in seeing where Austin's mind goes for this one. I loved seeing the Dudleyz just lose it. Without any more title shots, I don't really know where the Dudleyz go from here. A good win for Val Venis. I like the miscommunication between him and Shamrock. I would think that Val retains at Massacre and faces Shamrock at Wrestlemania. A great win for Mankind that really keeps his momentum going. I expected Mankind to retain so no shock there. I can usually tell what's going to happen at Mania, the month before but with this, I don't know what's going to happen. I really don't see Mankind walking in as champ, but I don't know what he'll do at the show if he isn't champion. I guess it could be Mankind/Show and Austin/McMahon as the two main events. I really love this diary, it's a great time period to be working with plus you are great at storytelling. I'm so hyped for Mania, BTW.

Pretty solid episode of Heat with a fun main event. Loved the added twist to the Austin/Big Show match, Austin having to pretty much choose between getting his title back or getting his hands on Vince. It'll be fascinating to see which way he goes once the big moment arrives. Also glad to see Mankind retaining the title and the finish didn't have all the wonky camera angles like in the real world. Manind didn't need to lose the title yet and I'm interested to see if his reign continues past the pay-per-view into Wrestlemania. All in all, nice work.

Good start to the show with Austin and McMahon. The stipulation for St. Valentine's Day Massacre is incredibly unique. It'll be interesting to see which route Austin will take. A shot at the title or a shot at his arch-nemesis. Enjoyed the Dudley Boyz just losing it and going table crazy. Hoping to see more of this if they're going to be out of the WWF Tag Team Championship picture. Good win for Val Venis to pick up some momentum heading into St. Valentine's Massacre. The roles reversed this time with him and Shamrock, should be interesting to see where this leads. And lastly, great Empty Arena Match with Mankind retaining the WWF Championship. I'm beginning to think that he will indeed walk into 'Mania as the champion, and defend against Big Show. Can't wait until St. Valentine's Day Massacre to see how everything plays out. Overall, a solid special edition of HeAT. Now let's go watch John Elway win the Super Bowl. Ugh.

WWF @ Tucson, AZ - Convention Center - February 1, 1999 RAW is WAR starts with a video recapping what we saw last night on Halftime HeAT. Mr. McMahon called out Stone Cold Steve Austin and made him an offer for his match against the Big Show at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. If Austin won, he’d get a WWF Championship match at WrestleMania. However, if he “chooses” to lose, he’d get Mr. McMahon instead! Then it highlighted the brutal and devastating main event between the Undertaker and Mankind in an Empty Arena match for the WWF Championship. The two rivals destroyed each other in their final encounter, but Mankind was finally able to retain the title after hitting an elbow off of a truck!
The pyro display kicks the show off just like every other week as the camera scans the arena for rabid fans and their signs. Soon we are brought to Jim Ross and Jerry “the King” Lawler, who announce in our main event it will be Rock and Kane’s turn to settle their feud in a steel cage match! They also hype up how tonight Sable gets her rematch for the WWF Woman’s Championship against Jacqueline, and Sean Waltman and Owen Hart meet one on one in the ring! Once they finish, the glass shatters and all of the fans immediately pops up to their feet for Stone Cold.
Austin marches down to the ring as JR wonders if we will get an answer tonight from Stone Cold about the decision he must make at the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre pay-per-view. In the ring, Austin grabs a microphone and talks about how he has a big decision to make next week. Either he finally gets his shot for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania XV, or he gets to whip Vince McMahon’s ass all over Philadelphia. He says if you haven’t had your head up your ass this entire time, you’d know the only two things Stone Cold Steve Austin wants more than a beer is the WWF Championship and to get a piece of Vince McMahon. Despite this, he said he can guarantee one thing for next Sunday; he will stomp a mud hole into that giant piece of crap known as the Big Show! Before Austin can say more, the Corporation’s theme hits as Mr. McMahon makes his way out with the Stooges and Big Show. Vince asks Austin who he is kidding, because everybody knows he wouldn't give up a free invitation to face himself on the biggest show of the year! Especially because he’ll never get the chance again! Austin asks what he’s talking about, and Mr. McMahon tells him if he does in fact beat Big Show and take the title match, then he won’t even be able to lay another finger on him or he’ll be fired. Stone Cold remains silent for a moment, thinking to himself, before Vince slaps him in the face! McMahon and Big Show quickly leave as the Stooges try to stop Austin, which turns out to be a mistake, of course. Austin quickly takes both of them down and makes them pay. He tosses Brisco over the top rope and nails the Stunner on Patterson, JR claiming the “Rattlesnake” is livid! McMahon and Show stand on top of the stage as Stone Cold tells them they’re “finished”, but has McMahon finally made Austin’s decision for him?
Break
A replay is shown, recapping Vince slapping Stone Cold in the face and Austin later taking his anger out on Jerry Brisco and Pat Patterson.
Following the recap, Mr. McMahon is shown backstage with Big Show and the Stooges. Pat and Jerry are clearly hurt as they “suggest” to Mr. McMahon that they punish Stone Cold for what he did. Vince tells them that’s a great idea, because tonight he’ll be in a three on one handicap match! It will be Stone Cold Steve Austin versus the Big Show, Jerry Brisco, and Pat Patterson! The two stooges don’t look all that enthusiastic while Vince promises this is a match Stone Cold will never forget. An evil grin grows on his face as the segment ends.
Number One Contenders Match: The Brood(w/Brood) def. The Hardy Brothers: Gangrel tried giving a chair to Edge, but he refused to use it. This conflict distracted the referee, allowing Christian to hit Matt with a low blow and win with a roll up after fine contest between these four young athletes.
Edge stormed away as Gangrel and Christian celebrated in the ring. Suddenly, Hell’s Henchmen hit the ring from the crowd and the three superstars attacked all of the four men left in the ring. Despite the numbers disadvantage, the sneak attack allowed Jackyl’s army to keep control. Edge turned around to see the tag champs and Snow hammering away at everyone, so he quickly sprinted back down to the ring after making a decision. He slid back in the ring and grabbed a chair as the Acolytes left, Edge smacking Al in the back with a chair! Edge hit Snow in the back with a chair over and over until it was bent. He threw the chair out of the ring as the rest of the Brood got up, Gangrel finally nodding in approval. Gangrel rose his hand to an applause from the crowd, has Edge finally been accepted by his stablemates? What does this mean for Jackyl? What condition is Snow in after this brutal attack?
Break
Mankind was shown sitting on a crate with the WWF Championship and Mr. Socko next to him. The Rock walked over to a huge pop and congratulated Foley on retaining his championship. Mankind thanked him and wanted to make sure there were no hard feelings after last week. Rock told him no, but reminded him that nothing is going to stop him from taking the title next Sunday. Things seemed to get more tense as Mankind jumped off the crate and told Rock he’s going to need to kill him if he wants the WWF Championship. Rock assured him that it’s going to take a lot more than a damn dirty sock puppet to stop the “People’s Champion” when the millions AND MILLIONS of the Rock’s fans are chanting his name as he hits the most electrifying move in ALL of sports entertainment, hooks the leg, and watches as the referee counts one… two… three! Rock walks off to prepare for his cage match as the Big Show appears behind Mankind. The crowd cheers as the two possible WrestleMania opponents stare down.
A replay is show of Jacqueline stealing the Woman’s Championship from Sable at the Royal Rumble.
WWF Woman’s Championship: Sable def. Jacqueline©(w/Luna Vachon) VIA Count Out: The Woman’s Champion took the cowardly way out tonight, leaving the match and losing by count out.
Sable demanded she get back into the ring, but Luna and Jacqueline refused and stayed on the ramp. The duo taunted Sable from the stage, failing to realized Ivory was now standing behind them! They continued to mock Sable before Ivory turned Luna around and threw her into the stage, taking her out. Jacqueline backed up, pleading with Ivory. She quickly ran into the ring, only to be drilled by a clothesline from Sable. Jacqueline rolled out of the ring, dropping the title in the process. Ivory climbed into the ring and both she and Sable grabbed the Woman’s Championship, the champion herself looking worried on the outside!
Still to come tonight, Stone Cold meets the Corporation in a three on one handicap match, and the Rock and Kane battle in a Steel Cage!
Break
Back from the break, we go to Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler at the announce desk. “The King” is busy talking about how Mr. McMahon’s planned worked, and he has driven a wedge in between the Rock and Mankind for St. Valentine’s Day Massacre! JR shakes his head and turns things over to Michael Cole, who is standing by with Owen Hart. Cole asks him how he’s feeling after Chris Jericho dropped a bombshell on him last week with the restraining order. Owen told him it’s been a rough week, because all he’s thought about for the past two months is finally getting his hands on Chris Jericho and teaching that “punk” a lesson. He says now he’s been given time to think, and it’s time to get back on track, it’s time for a change! He said it all starts up next when he beats Sean Waltman and heads out, Cole thanking a surprisingly up looking Owen for his time.
Sean Waltman(w/D-Generation X) def. Owen Hart: Owen was going for the Sharpshooter, but “Y2J” Chris Jericho appeared on the tron to distract him. He told Owen he was only fooling himself, because deep down inside he’ll never be able to get over the fact that Chris Jericho is and forever will be the better man than him! Owen was enraged, and Waltman took advantage by hitting the X-Factor for the victory.
DX celebrated their win proudly after a miserable week beforehand. Owen rolled to the outside in disappointment, and Triple H took a microphone in the ring. He said Billy Gunn got a lucky win over him last week, but that was only because he was still banged up from being the longest lasting superstar in the Royal Rumble match only twenty four hours before hand! He said if the Outlaws ever had any really guts to face them man to man, they would be made fools of by your’s truly! DX was quickly interrupted by the Outlaws to a huge pop, Gunn wasting no time in mocking Triple H about last week. Road Dogg then took a microphone and told DX he’s got his voice back, but they won’t be so lucky when the Road Dogg and the “Bad Ass” knock their teeth down their throat at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre! Triple H tells them that they are on, but warns them they’re taking the trash out on Valentine’s Day - something they should have done a long time ago! He calls them a joke and says they were always the weak link of DX, which they proved when they didn't have the balls to work with the Corporation! Billy Gunn tells them to drop theirs and fight them right now, but they refuse. The Outlaws shrug it off and charged, only for DX to jump out of the ring as RAW headed to a break.
Up next on RAW is WAR, Stone Cold takes on Patterson, Brisco, and the Big Show in a three on one handicap match!
Break
Don’t miss St. Valentine’s Massacre live on pay per view February 14th. Who will walk into WrestleMania XV as the World Wrestling Federation Champion?
Shane McMahon and Debra are shown in the Corporate Team locker room, when all of sudden Ken Shamrock barges in. He grabs Shane by the collar and presses him up to the wall. He tells Shane week after week he’s been costing him his matches, and he’s damn sick and tired of it! He says he may not have a shot at Val Venis or the Intercontinental Championship next Sunday, but he’s got something else in mind. He wants Shane one on one at the pay-per-view! Shane promises Shamrock he’ll face him at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre on one condition, if he can team with Val Venis tonight to defeat RVD and Jarrett! Ken tells him it’s a deal, but he can’t promise the safety for anybody in the match - even Venis!
The Big Show, Pat Patterson, and Gerald Brisco def. Stone Cold Steve Austin: Big Show didn't tag in until the end of the match as Austin unload on the stooges. When Show tagged in, he was able to control Austin, but the “Rattlesnake” quickly fought back. Before he could do any serious damage, a man in a black security outfit and a black mask ran out and nailed Austin with a night stick behind the ref’s back, allowing Show to hit a Chokeslam for the win!
The man in black left through the crowd as Big Show stood tall over Austin with a giant smirk on his face. Mr. McMahon came out to the stage and applauded Show as he met Vince and the stooges up top. Stone Cold finally got back up in the ring, holding the back of his head in pain. Austin was confused as Vince grinned at Austin and flipped him the bird! Steve didn't take too kindly to that and chased after them, the Corporation bailing.
Break
A replay is shown of the man in black attacking Stone Cold with a nightstick, who is this man? Is he now working for Mr. McMahon and the Corporation?
Jeff Jarrett, Rob Van Dam, Debra, and Shane McMahon made their way out to the ring for the next match; Shane joining the commentary booth. Jarrett had a microphone and said Val Venis is starting to piss him off, and if he thinks he’ll get his greasy hands on such an classy woman like Debra, he better think again! He said tonight he and “Mr. Monday Night” are going to beat some manners into him and Ken Shamrock, but next Sunday “Double J” is bringing the Intercontinental Championship home! Shamrock was the next one out, clearly furious about last week’s situation and having to team with Val Venis tonight.
Ken Shamrock and Intercontinental Champion Val Venis def. Jeff Jarrett and Rob Van Dam(w/Debra): Despite their differences, Val pulled the win out for his team after Jarrett accidentally hit his own partner with a guitar while Debra distracted the referee!
Shane couldn't believe Val and Shamrock pulled out the win as the “Big Valbowski” celebrated with the Intercontinental Championship, swaying his hips back and forth for the crowd and Debra. Jarrett was even more irate as he argued with the referee. Meanwhile, in the ring, Venis extended his hand to Shamrock, who walked past it to get to McMahon. Val was a little ticked off as Shane tried to leave, but Ken grabbed him by the collar before warning him he’s going to snap his ankle next Sunday! He threw him down to the ground as the Corporation left the arena. While they left, Val confronted Shamrock on the outside and the two started to share some intense words.
Still to come tonight, the Rock and Kane go at it one more time in a steel cage!
Break
Stone Cold Steve Austin was shown backstage in a fury of rage, flipping over tables and asking “Where the hell is McMahon?” He sees Michael Cole and grabs him, demanding to know where the Corporation went, and if he know who the “son of a bitch in the black mask” was. Cole denied knowing anything about the mystery man before telling Austin the Corporation just left in a limo a few minutes ago. Stone Cold dropped him and stormed off, Austin’s a ticking time bomb!
As Steven Regal made his way to the ring with taped up ribs, he grabbed a microphone from the ringside area. He said he was going to keep this brief, and he warned the Dudleyz not to mess with “royalty”. He said he’s going to get his revenge on them soon before being cut off by the Godfather and the Ho Train. Godfather said he could see Regal was a little hurt tonight, and offered him to take the show off with one of his lovely ladies! Regal was clearly in no mood and slapped Godfather in the face before the two began brawling, a match beginning!
The Godfather(w/Ho’s) def. Steven Regal: During the match Mark Henry came out to the stage, but it was unclear if he was watching the match or the ladies. Godfather was able to take advantage of Regal’s injuries and hit the Pimp Drop to get some momentum for his title shot.
Godfather celebrated his victory with the Ho Train as European Champion D-Lo Brown joined his partner on the stage to taunt Godfather. D-Lo yelled for Godfather to recognize he was the weak link of the Nation, Godfather just telling him he’s taking the title and his streak of luck is done!
Undertaker and Paul Bearer were shown backstage discussing the WWF Championship Fatal Four Way. ‘Taker told Bearer to tell Kane to stay out of his way come next Sunday, because the WWF Championship rightfully belongs to the “Phenom.” Bearer assured him even though Kane’s job to make sure Mankind loses the title, he will not hold anything back either after chasing the title for so long. Undertaker said he doesn't need Kane to take out Mankind or Rock, and he’s going to prove that tonight.
Break
JR and King talked about the brief interaction between Undertaker and Paul Bearer, JR calling Undertaker relentless in his pursuit of the WWF title, even ready to take out his own brother for it! The two ran down some of the matches already in store for St. Valentine’s Day Massacre including Big Show versus Stone Cold; If Austin wins he gets a title shot, but if he “chooses” to lose he gets Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania; Shane McMahon has to step into the ring against the “World’s Most Dangerous Man” Ken Shamrock; The New Age Outlaws get their chance for revenge against Triple H and Sean Waltman in a tag match; And finally Mankind defends the WWF Championship in a Fatal Four Way against the Rock, the Undertaker, and Kane!
Too Much, Light Heavyweight Champion Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor are shown in the ring. Christopher has a microphone and talks about being the current longest reigning champion in the WWF, but they can’t even get on RAW! He does admit it kind of makes sense, because he’s already beaten every in his division. He and Taylor laugh before claiming they are now moving onto the WWF Tag Team Champions, only to be cut off by the Dudley Boyz’ theme. Bubba Ray and D-Von charge out to the ring, bringing a table with them!
Too Much def. The Dudley Boyz VIA DQ: The Dudley’s lost control again as D-Von set Scott Taylor up on the table. Bubba then took Brian to the top rope and hit a Powerbomb, sending all of them through the table!
The fans were going wild for the Dudley Boyz as they continue to bring carnage everywhere they go! The commentators talk about how they've become unhinged after no longer being able to get shots at the WWF Tag Team Championship.
Suddenly, the cameras rush backstage as a brawl had unfolded. Referees and staff were trying their best to keep everything under control as the cameras got closer to the scene, revealing the New Age Outlaws and DX were the ones fighting! Triple H was beating on a floored Billy Gunn while Road Dogg smacked Waltman with multiple strikes before slamming his head down on a crate. James and Hunter started to brawl as more staff came on and pulled them apart while the rest checked on Gunn and Waltman, Road Dogg and Triple H still trying to go at it!
Up next is our main event as the Rock and Kane battle in a steel cage match!
Break
Steel Cage Match: The Rock def. Kane(w/Paul Bearer): During the match, the Undertaker came out to ringside and joined Paul Bearer. He tried to stop Rock from escaping the cage at the end, but Rock slammed the door in his face and jumped out for the win!
The Tucson crowd was ecstatic as the Rock was announced the winner. The Brothers of Destruction weren't so happy, and they ambushed him on the outside. They threw him back into the cage and entered as Paul Bearer re-locked the door, Rock now trapped in the cage with Kane and Undertaker! They took turns beating on Rock until the WWF Champion, Mankind, ran out for the save. Not being able to open the door, Mick started to climb the cage. Undertaker met him up there, and the two started fighting on top of the cage! JR said this was bringing back bad memories as Mankind started to teeter. Foley regained his balance and started to unload on the “Phenom”, unaware Kane was now climbing up. Kane halted his momentum and the brothers both grabbed him by the throat, sending him THROUGH THE RING with a Chokeslam! Everyone was in shock as the Brothers of Destruction climbed off the cage and left the scene, medics running out to help Mankind and the Rock! RAW is WAR going off the air!

Pretty good edition of Raw. You've got a very fascinating card set up for the pay-per-view and are doing an excellent job of building up to it. Nice work with tension between the fatal four way participants, including the cool visual at the end of Mankind getting double chokeslammed off the top of the cage. The Austin/Big Show feud is nice, though I don't know about the addition of a masked man. Just have to see where this goes. All in all some good stuff.

WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 25th January 1999...Decent promo to kick off the show with Mankind here to challenge the Undertaker to a WWF Championship rematch. The Rock and Kane's involvement was intriguing, I'm wondering when Mankind and 'Taker's storied rivalry will end at this stage. Hmm, a fatal four-way match for the WWF Championship at St. Valentine's Day Massacre? I like the sound of that, extremely unpredictable between 'Taker, Rock and Mankind at this point, regarding who goes to WrestleMania XV as champ. Decent opening contest between D-Lo Brown and TAKA Michinoku, a match I like to have in my 98' diary. Hmm, good win for D-Lo, and a nice establishment angle with D-Lo and Mark Henry being confonted by the Godfather shortly afterwards. I'd slow down with announcing matches though, I know the show is in three weeks but this feels pretty rushed. The Big Show Paul Wight is a greedy, rich man! Fair win for Luna Vachon against Sable, but a poor finish. Jacqueline's involvement was fine and dandy to enhance the WWF Women's Championship feud further. Chris Jericho's promo was pretty randomly placed, that could have been better positioned I think. Owen Hart getting arrested for attacking Y2J is amusing, but avoid using "piece of trash" for Jericho, a mix-up in character dialogue there. Strange occurrence with the Brood facing the Hardy Boys in a no contest; Hell's Henchmen continue to reign supreme in the tag team division. Hahaha, Stone Cold Steve Austin potentially stealing the Big Show's money? Hilarious concept. Good promo from the Corporation, but the match set up for St Valentine's Day Massacre appears quite predictable right now. Austin then going against his word and throwing the $100,000 away is a great move to further annoy the Corporation. I hope Paul Wight gets maxed into top condition in the next few weeks, ready for this match. He'll need some credibility to fall back on. Jeff Jarrett defeating Ken Shamrock was fine, a decent contender's match here. Val Venis facing Jarrett sounds pretty cool. Hmm, decent match between Triple H and Billy Gunn, but I think it should have gone on earlier in the show personally. The war between D-Generation X has to be far from over. And lastly, a fairly big main event for the WWF Championship between Mankind and The Rock. Pat Patterson as the referee was strange and yet nice. Was typical for the Brothers of Destruction to get involved - wow, Mankind and 'Taker one more time on Halftime HeAT! I like it, keeping the Empty Arena stipulation intact too. A good show, cleaner and easier to read than most of the build for the Royal Rumble too, I thought.
WWF Halftime HeAT: Sunday 31st January 1999...A good promo to kick things off with Vince McMahon and Stone Cold Steve Austin engaging in another war of words. I think that you should have focused this more on Paul Wight though. He needs seriously bigging up for this match on February 14th, which he most likely will fall to Austin. Haha, the Dudley Boyz destroying Steven Regal was a nice, character-adding touch. Hmm, I'm not too fond of Val Venis and Rob Van Dam being thrown away on HeAT, I think it could have been saved for RAW is WAR personally. Nonetheless, a good win for the WWF Intercontinental Champion with actions proceeding with Venis and Jeff Jarrett; Ken Shamrock making the save for Venis was an interesting call. Hopefully not another fatal four-way match to be added to St Valentine's Day Massacre. And lastly, a chaotic Empty Arena match with Mankind getting the win against the Undertaker for the WWF Championship. Liked the finish, too. Very typical of the Attitude Era. Good work, an eventful week of WWF television as we grow nearer to WrestleMania.

Good opening segment with Austin discussing the huge decision he has to make come St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Not being able to open a can of whoop ass on Vince if he takes the title match? I really have no idea which route Austin will take. I can easily picture either scenario coming to fruition. Exciting opening bout to determine the No.1 contendership. Brood getting the victory is awesome, great to see a fresh team in the title hunt. Liked the aftermath with Edge making the save, seemingly accepting Gangrel and Christian as his allies. Part of me believes at least one member of the Brood will betray the stable and join Hell's Henchmen. Still can't get into the Women's Championship feud that much. Jacqueline getting counted out, only to be cornered by Ivory and Sable was fine. Still loving the Jericho/Owen feud, especially with the twist of the restraining order. Good victory for X-Pac, though I didn't really like how the conflict shifted from Jericho and Owen to D-X without much of an intermission between the two stories. Sweet tag match for St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Hunter and X-Pac almost have to get the victory, especially after Gunn's victory last week. Haha, Austin beating up Patterson and Brisco. For some reason, I really love masked attacker storylines. No idea who attacked Austin, but I'm highly intrigued. Solid tag team win for Val Venis and Ken Shamrock. Stare down afterwards makes me think Venis/Shamrock at 'Mania. Sexual Chocolate in the house! D-Lo/Godfather is still something to look forward to, but sh*t, man. Sexual Chocolate is on the horizon! Got a kick out of the Dudley Boyz just demolishing Too Much. I love this persona for the D-Von and Bubba, just going ape sh*t due to losing the WWF Tag Team Championships. D-X brawl! Lastly, fantastic main event Steel Cage match with the Rock defeating Kane. Huge momentum boost for him. Aw yeah, Brothers of Destruction beat down. Mankind through the ring! They killed him! Again! Overall, a really good edition of RAW is WAR. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and only makes me anticipate St. Valentine's Day Massacre more.

RAW IS WAR: Routine entrance with the recap video of the previous shows. Womens Championship match and a cage match on Raw? Very cool Penguin! Stone Cold opening the show seems believable. I would really like to see Stone Cold and McMahon at Mania rather then Austin going for the title but wouldn't really care either way, will still be a good show. Vince slapping Austin and then scurrying away seems very like Vince. Like Austin attacking his cronies though. Vince putting him in a handicap match, I was sure it'd be against huge stars but instead against Show and the Stooges is hilarious on their part. Brood winning even though Edge kind of outlawing what Gangrel wants him to do is nice even though I'd rather the Hardys. Edge sort of going crazy and showing he can be like his stablemates is awesome and ultra realistic and a very nice addition. Mankind and The Rock talking backstage and I'd enjoy The Rock winning the title but I doubt it will happen. Big Show appearing behind Mankind, who knows what will happen at Wrestlemania. Jacqueline pulling the cowardly act and losing by countout is cool. Sable and Ivory grabbing the title. Bleh, I don't know or care much about womens wrestling so this is whatever. Jericho dropped a restraining order on Owen! That's freaking awesome! Hopefully Owen can get the win over Sean Waltman but it does not happen because of Jericho. I favor Jericho in this storyline. DX kicked out NAO, pretty cool and would love to see NAO overcome DX. Shamrock with his normal attitude of wanting to fight everyone and would be a good match between him and Shane, rather them than RVD and Jarrett. Surprised Austin didn't pick up the win but very curious on to who this man could be who attacked Austin. Very freaking cool and can't wait to find out the mystery of that man. Shamrock and Val picking up the win is nice for Ken and good match you got set up between him and Shane. You write very realistic details. Austin acted like that back in the day so nice little segment here. Godfather offering Regal a ho is pretty funny but I don't like him picking up the win, Godfather was dumb and reminds me of Santino lol. Really don't want Godfather to win the title. Taker, Kane, and Bearer all together is crazy awesome. Nice little recap of the night and rundown of St. Valentines Day Massacre card. Too Cool making it out like they're big shots is hilarious. I enjoy the Dudleys coming out and just putting them through a table to get that over with, lol. NAO beating down DX is amazing, I completely favor them. Enjoy The Rock picking up the win and then the post match scare with the Brothers of Destruction cornering him in the cage. Mankind! Mankind! Mankind! Crazy cool with him saving Rock. I thought Mick was gonna take them both on and win but I was wrong as they SLAM him through the ring! Super crazy! The Rock didn't know what to think. Penguin, you're an awesome writer and if you do the same for me. You've got a replier every show.

WWF @ Tucson, AZ - Convention Center - February 7, 1999 HeAT opens up as we are welcomed by Shane McMahon and Kevin Kelly, the two hyping up the fact that we’re only seven days away from the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre pay-per-view event! They talk about our matches for the night including European Champion D-Lo Brown taking on Billy Gunn; Chris Jericho going one on one with Rey Mysterio; and the Acolytes in action against the Hardy Brothers. Shane promises tonight he has something in store for Ken Shamrock, and by the end of the night he’s going to wish he never messed with Shane-O Mac!
The crowd went nuts as the glass shattered to open up HeAT this week. Stone Cold came marching down with a purpose, wasting no time in taunting to the crowd. He took a microphone and said in seven days he had to make a choice between the WWF Championship and kicking Vince McMahon’s ass when he faces the Big Show, but he’s not here to talk about that tonight. He’s here to call out the big son of a bitch that attack him from behind with a night stick, but was too much of a coward to show his face! He said he knew the attacker was in the back, so he’s going to give him twenty seconds to come out here or he’s going to find him! Austin began counting to twenty, when all of a sudden the Big Show’s theme hit the arena. The Big Show warns Stone Cold that his focus is in the wrong place. He shouldn’t be focusing on his attacker or his decision for next Sunday. “The only thing you should be worried about is what I’m going to do to you in seven days. Because no matter what you pick, Austin, I’m going to break your body and your spirit.” Stone Cold told Big Show that was “cute” and said he can’t guarantee what he’ll be doing at WrestleMania XV, but he can guaran-damn-tee that he’s going to stomp a mud hole in Big Show! The crowd popped, but the cheers quickly died down as Mr. McMahon made his way out to the ring. He told both of them he didn’t want another brawl breaking out, and that he was out here to announce tonight’s main event. He said for a while now one man has wanted revenge on Stone Cold Steve Austin for costing him the Intercontinental Championship, so tonight Stone Cold will take on Triple H! “Oh, and another thing. Austin, if you try to touch or harm Big Show within the next seven days, then the pay-per-view match will be off and you will not make it to WrestleMania XV!” The fans booed the Corporate Team as McMahon and Big Show left the ring, Stone Cold clearly not set with the stipulation enforced by Mr. McMahon.
Break
A replay is shown of Mr. McMahon announcing Stone Cold versus Triple H for tonight and the stipulation that Stone Cold is not allowed to touch Big Show for the next week or he will not make it to WrestleMania! Following the replay a graphic was shown for tonight’s main event.
Non-title: European Champion D-Lo Brown(w/Mark Henry) def. Billy Gunn(w/Road Dogg): Sean Waltman came down to the ringside area and started to brawl with Road Dogg after sharing some heated words, distracting Gunn and allowing D-Lo to hit the Sky High for the win!
Road Dogg and Waltman continued sharing punches on the outside as Mark Henry handed D-Lo the European Championship, the cocky duo mocking Gunn. Referees got in between James and Waltman and both men had to be restrained by the officials.
Shane McMahon and Kevin Kelly had a huge announcement that next week on RAW Saturday Night, because WWF Champion Mankind and the Rock will team up against the Brothers of Destruction only twenty-fours hours before their Fatal Four Way match for the WWF title at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre!
Break
Triple H was shown talking to Chyna and Sean Waltman backstage about how tonight he’ll finally get his revenge on Stone Cold Steve Austin, saying Austin is going to regret the day he messed with D-Generation X! The New Age Outlaws suddenly came barging onto the shot, Gunn ticked off about his loss to the European Champion just moments ago. They engaged in a stand off with DX as referees and staff once again quickly got in between the two teams before another brawl could spill out. The four superstars shouted at each other as the Outlaws we carried away, these two teams cannot keep away from each other!
Chris Jericho def. Rey Mysterio: Even though the match only went for about five minutes, these two young exciting superstars put on an entertaining match tonight. Jericho eventually grounded the former champion, forcing him to submit with the Walls of Jericho.
As the referee tended to Mysterio, Chris Jericho took a microphone. He said Mysterio may be out on his back screaming in pain, but he’s still not as pathetic as Owen Hart! Jericho said he hopes Owen is happy sitting around moping because he know he’ll never be able beat him! He talked about how Owen is down not being able to think about anything except getting his hands on him, but that’s normal because everybody is always thinking and talking about “Y2J” Chris Jericho! Jericho noticed Mysterio starting to get up and exclaimed, “This if for you, Owen!” before locking in the Sharpshooter! The fans began jeering Jericho again as he finally let go of the hold, smiling at his own dirty deeds.
Shane McMahon stood on top of the announce table and took a microphone, asking for everybody attention. He said after our next match of the Acolytes versus the Hardy Brothers, he wants Ken Shamrock out to the ring for his surprise!
Break
Backstage Michael Cole ran down the card set so far for St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. Stone Cold faces the Big Show where if Austin wins he’ll get a WWF Championship match, but if he “chooses” to lose he faces Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania; D-Lo Brown defends the European Championship against Godfather; The now seemingly unified Brood challenges the Acolytes for the WWF Tag Team Championships; Val Venis and Jeff Jarrett clash for the Intercontinental Championship; The New Age Outlaws get their chance for revenge against D-Generation X in a tag match; And finally, Mankind defends the WWF Championship in a Fatal Four Way against the Rock, Kane, and the Undertaker!
Non-title: WWF Tag Team Champions The Acolytes(w/The Jackyl) def. The Hardy Brothers: The Hardy Brothers put up a great effort against the tag champs as they continued to draw a reaction from the crowd, but Matt was eventually taken down by the Clothesline from Hell.
Following the match the Jackyl handed the Acolytes the tag team championships before warning the Brood that they will get their revenge for what Edge did to Al Snow last Monday on RAW is WAR!
As Hell’s Henchmen left, Shane McMahon grabbed a microphone once more and climbed into the ring. He said earlier he promised a surprise for Ken Shamrock, so he wants him to come on down to the ring right now! Shamrock’s music hit and he walked out to the ring, but he was jumped by four guys before entering the ring! They were dressed in sweater vests and dress pants as McMahon came to the outside to assist in the beat down. The five men were relentless as they hammered away at Shamrock. Shane was referring the four men to the “Mean Street Posse” as they quickly ran away, trainers coming out to help Shamrock.
Break
A replay was shown of what Shane McMahon calls the “Mean Street Posse” attacking Ken Shamrock. On commentary Shane stated they were his tough friends from the mean streets of Greenwich!
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Triple H VIA DQ: As Mr. McMahon and Big Show came out to watch the match, Triple H took a steel chair and smacked Austin in the head with it, intentionally getting disqualified!
It was clear this was all a set up as Stone Cold was out on the mat after the brutal chair shot. Hunter drove the chair into his spine one time before leaving the ring. Mr. McMahon, getting a little cocky, told Big Show to stay on the stage as he confronted Austin in the ring. Vince taunted Austin as he dropped down to the canvas and yelled in his face, mimicking the “Rattlesnake”. Show was laughing as McMahon started to mock the crowd, unaware Stone Cold was getting up to his feet. Austin stalked Vince, only for the masked assailant to strike again! Him and Austin traded shots back and forth until Big Show came in and dropped Stone Cold with the Chokeslam! The Corporation stood tall over Stone Cold, who is this man protecting the Big Show and Mr. McMahon?

Good way to kick off HeAT with Steve Austin calling out his masked assailant. You did make it obvious, actually, but it didn't hit me at first. Shut up. Loved the interactions between him and the Big Show. Looking forward to Austin/Hunter tonight, and what a stipulation implemented for Austin regarding the next seven days until St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Good victory for European Champion D-Lo Brown against Billy Gunn, thanks a distraction from Sean Waltman. Loving the build thus far for the match between the New Age Outlaws and D-Generation X. RAW on a Saturday? Damn that Dog Show. But a huge main event set, which should be great. Very good match between Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio. Great stuff from Y2J post match, especially the Sharpshooter. Good victory for the Acolytes, the champions gaining some momentum before they meet the Brood next Sunday. Oh snap! The Posse! I honestly hope Shamrock beats the piss out of them. Lastly, a great main event with the DQ finish. The set up was good, another attack from the masked man, who I hate for making me feel stupid. Overall, a solid HeAT. Can't wait for RAW to send things into St. Valentine's Day Massacre.

WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 1st February 1999...February, here you are now just over ten months into this diary. You've come quite a long way and improved a lot. Anyway, quit the chat-up lines, let's read this week of television. Good way to kick things off with Stone Cold Steve Austin in the ring to talk about St Valentine's Day Massacre. Wow, I'm loving this ultimatum that Vince McMahon has made Austin, great storytelling with Vince being desperate enough to keep Austin away from the WWF Championship at WrestleMania XV, that he'd actually set up a match for the two instead. Haha, the evil Corporation members antagonizing Stone Cold. Very realistic promo with a nice ending despite the putrid stipulation riding on the road to WrestleMania. A handicap match tonight sounds pretty neat, I think Austin can easily overcome the odds. The Brood with a win against the Hardy Boys is fine, Jeff and Matt need establishing a lot more if you're going to put them in the opening contest of RAW though. It shows how fragile the 1999 tag team division is. I also enjoyed the typo "Brood (w/Brood)". Edge doesn't want Gangrel's help? I wonder where this leaves Christian. Chaotic aftermath with the Acolytes and Al Snow attacking the Brood and the Hardys; Edge then making the save was a classic Russo-swerve. I would've lengthened this out to a few shows, but nevermind. Amusing segment with the Rock and Mankind, potential boundaries for the Rock 'n' Sock Connection made. Jacqueline sneaking away from Sable was amusing, logic says that there will be a no-disqualification match for the title, but with it being for the WWF Women's Championship...hmm. I could see you doing that at St Valentine's Day Massacre. Owen Hart's interview was nice, and a classic feud-progressing follow-up with Chris Jericho costing Owen his match with Sean Waltman. What I didn't like was that Owen was kicked out of the ring like garbage despite being in the midst of a feud, whilst D-Generation X then happily delivered their promo without caring about Hart. Huh. The New Age Outlaws against Triple H and Sean Waltman makes for an interesting split, a better divide I must admit. Ken Shamrock facing Shane McMahon at St Valentine's Day Massacre sounds...interesting. The Big Show, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco managed to beat Stone Cold!? Wow. That actually makes us believe that Paul Wight CAN beat Austin. The debut of the Big Bossman, too I see. A good night for the Corporation to get their comeuppance. Ken Shamrock and Val Venis then taking on the odds of Jeff Jarrett and Rob Van Dam was nice, I liked the involvement from Jarrett's guitar. The aftermath was nice, not a lot to add. Why's Shamrock mad at Shane again? Austin threatening Michael Cole was funny. Steven Regal's promo with the Godfather sounded realistic, I liked it. Godfather with the win was the right call, I thought. The Nation seems to be broken down to a three-way feud of sorts. Too Much got a segment themselves, wow-ee. The Dudley Boyz then annihilating them sounded pretty realistic, especially since Brian Christopher is the WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, they always did enjoy burying their little guy champ. I see this is where the table-breaking affection trait of personality comes from with those guys. Good touch with a brawl between the DX faction, not a bad idea. Some follow-up would've been nice, though. The Rock beating Kane was fine, a solid Steel-Cage main event win at that, Rock managing to take out Paul Bearer as well. The Undertaker and Mankind's involvement afterwards was great, and I loved the spot with Kane and 'Taker with 'Taker going through the ring. A chaotic close to RAW. A decent episode, my only complaint really was how there was more TV time for Austin/Wight at St Valentine's Day Massacre than the actual WWF Championship match - that doesn't really sit too well with me honestly. It makes me think about how the real focus is on how Austin gets to face the WWF Champion at WrestleMania against all odds - rather than who is going to WrestleMania altogether. Emphasise it up a bit more!
WWF Sunday Night HeAT: Sunday 7th February 1999...Stone Cold Steve Austin again with the opening promo, hopefully it won't happen again on RAW is WAR tomorrow night. I guess you're ignoring the Westminster Dog Show stuff, hmm. Austin and Triple H main eventing on HeAT? Could've been hyped more for RAW tomorrow night, but it works for me! D-Lo Brown beating Billy Gunn was unique to say the least, at least it included interference from Sean Waltman. I was surprised, because despite how D-Lo is the WWF European Champion, he's still lower on the card in comparison to Gunn. Nevermind, anyhow. Oh, you ARE doing the Westminster Dog Show. Cool cool. Another brawl with the D-Generation X members. Up next was an eyeopener. How far Rey Mysterio Jr has fallen down the card since losing the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship. Maybe a release is in order, if he's hard to book. Chris Jericho with the win made sense, especially in the time it took him, which was slightly too long for Jericho, even. Jericho manipulating Rey to send a message to Owen was cool. Up next, easy win for the WWF Tag Team Champions against the Hardy Boys, not a lot to add to that. Shaen McMahon then calling out Ken Shamrock - this segment seemed a bit rushed. Haha, the debut of the Mean Street Posse. Shamrock is essentially in Sean Waltman's place with this. I'd have saved this for RAW tomorrow night, honestly. And finally, an expected faulty finish to a decent main event with Steve Austin beating Triple H by disqualification. A nice fit-in with the Paul Wight business, and once again the Corporation remain standing dominant. Good show, although very busy, and the second half seemed a little rushed. A good week for WWF television.

Thank you to everyone who voted this as Classic Diary of the Year. As your gift, I finally give you a new update! Thanks again everybody, truly special to win another award for this diary. Though I'm more glad that everyone is still enjoying this as much as I am.WWF @ Toronto Ontario - Skydome - February 13, 1999 RAW Saturday Night kicks off with the last edition of RAW is WAR as the Rock and Kane contested inside a steel cage. Rock was able to pull out the victory, but it wouldn't come cheep as the Brothers of Destruction quickly assaulted him. Mankind went to assist him, only to get chokeslammed off the top of the cage and through the ring! Meanwhile, Stone Cold had a shot against the Big Show and the Corporate Stooges. Austin finally his hands on Show when a masked assailant attacked him with a nightstick! The same scene was seen on HeAT as Austin was stalking McMahon after his match with Triple H, only for the mystery attacker to ambush him again.
Jim Ross and Jerry the “King” Lawler welcome us to RAW Saturday Night, hyping up a huge broadcast only twenty-four hours away from the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre pay per view! They talk about how tonight Stone Cold will address his attacker and his match with the Big Show this Sunday; Triple H clashes with Billy Gunn in a No Disqualification match; Intercontinental Champion Val Venis defends against Ken Shamrock; and of course WWF Champion Mankind and the Rock will have to team up to face the Brothers of Destruction! Can Rock and Mankind co-exist after their encounter last week and with the WWF Championship match tomorrow night? Intercontinental Championship: Val Venis vs. Ken Shamrock ends in a No Contest: This match has been brewing for a matter of weeks now, but it was interrupted before anything could be resolved. Shamrock was looking for the Ankle Lock as the Mean Street Posse and Shane McMahon hit the ring.
The Posse and Shane had no trouble out matching Shamrock, forcing him to the ground. Surprisingly, the Intercontinental Champion came to the rescue, taking down two of the Posse members. Shane quickly ran away as now Ken and Val were fighting the Mean Street Posse side by side. Jeff Jarrett and RVD came charging to the ring and attacked the two superstars from behind, making it a seven on two beat down with Shane reentering the ring. The Corporation were relentless with their assault as McMahon acted like a cheerleader for them. Eventually they gave up and left the ring as Shamrock and Venis were near motionless on the canvas, Shane McMahon leaving two of his rivals destroyed.
Break
A replay is shown of what transpired before the break. The Mean Street Posse interrupted Ken Shamrock and Val Venis’ match, causing a brawl to ensure between the two parties. Jeff Jarrett and RVD soon made their way out and assaulted the WWF Superstars, leaving them down and prone to taunts from Shane McMahon.
The theme song of the Rock hit to a massive ovation from the crowd, the “Great One” not in a too good of a mood after being attacked by the Brothers of Destruction inside the steel cage last week. Rock took a microphone and said he couldn’t believe he got laid out by the Addams Family last week, but that doesn’t change the fact he’s taking home the WWF Championship this Sunday! He says Undertaker and Kane can play all the games they want, they can bring Paul Bearer, they can bring the Corporation and Mankind can bring that disgusting sock with him, but the Rock will bring the MILLIONS and MILLIONS of his fans to the Fatal Four Way because not the People’s Champion will become the WWF Champion! “Now, the Rock’s got a score to settle so Undertaker and Kane why don’t you drag your candy asses out here, because the Rock isn’t waiting until tomorrow night to lay the smackdown!” Rock’s call is answered by someone else as Mankind’s theme hits, the WWF Champion limping his way out with a microphone. He tells Rock he can understand why he’s upset, and even though they have their differences over the WWF Championship, he and Mr. Socko want a piece of Undertaker and Kane more than he does! Rock tells Mankind to take his sock and stick it up his ass, because the Rock is going to beat the Brothers of Destruction, and then he’s going to beat him for the title on Sunday! Mankind steps up to Rock and says he’ll keep Mr. Socko right here, but he’ll be glad to shove his boot up his ass! The two stare off until the Undertaker’s gong is heard, and the unholy trio make their way out to the stage. Bearer tells the two in the ring they should not be worrying about each other, because they still have to face the Brothers of Destruction later tonight. Undertaker takes the microphone and warns them they need to find a way to coexist, because darkness is rising and slowly consuming the WWF, and time to save themselves is quickly running out! He says they need to bring everything they have to the Four Way, or else! The Brothers leave Rock and Mankind are in the ring, confused and tense.

What the hell where you talking about out there, ‘Taker?” Undertaker steps up to Vince and assures him if everything goes their way, he’ll have nothing to fear. McMahon agrees to it and leaves, saying it’s time to take care of Austin.

Owen told Michael Cole enough was enough, and it was time for a change! He said a new side of him was coming out, and unfortunately for Chris Jericho, it’s coming out on his expense. Even if he has to go to jail for it, he is going to get his hands on Jericho! Cole thanked him for his time as Owen left, hell bent on getting “Y2J” one on one!

Kane glared at it as Undertaker tugged on it, both of the brothers holding an end of the title as they looked each other in the eyes. Suddenly, they dropped the title and grabbed each other by the throat! The fans went nuts as a test of strength had unfolded, neither brother letting go of the hold. Finally, Paul Bearer jumped in and calmed the two of them down, tensions high as the WWF Championship is on the line this Sunday! Who will be going into WrestleMania XV as the WWF Champion?
Backstage Michael Cole was standing by with the New Age Outlaws. Cole asked them for their thoughts on finally getting their shot at revenge on D-Generation X this Sunday on pay-per-view. Road Dogg told Cole for a month now all they’ve been able to think about is getting their hands on those bastards, and now they finally got their chance! The glass shattered and Stone Cold’s theme hit to a huge chorus of cheers, Austin still looking pissed as all hell. He quickly grabbed a microphone and said he already told everybody what he was going to do tonight backstage, so he wants Vince McMahon and the Big Show to drag their sorry asses out to the this ring right now! Austin’s wish was granted as McMahon and Show made their way out, McMahon looking cocky as ever. Austin told McMahon to wipe that “cheesy grin” off his face because he wants answers, or he’s going to beat them out of him. Vince told Austin to calm down and asked him if he made up his mind about his match with the Big Show this Sunday. If he was going to try and beat the Big Show, which he won’t, and get the WWF Championship match? Big Show took a microphone, asking if he’d rather finally get his hands on the man that has made his life a living hell? The man that slapped him in the face last week? The man that took his WWF Championship? The man that took his job and threw him out on the street? A smirk remained on Vince’s face as Stone Cold said he knew what he was doing, and it’s not going to work. “So you’re gonna start talking about the masked man, or I’m gonna start opening cans of whoop ass on you two.’ McMahon snapped and said he knows Austin wants nothing more than to kick his ass, and he’s going to prove it! He’ll give him an opportunity to do it tonight, but only if he could beat Jeff Jarrett and Rob Van Dam in a handicap match! Stone Cold told Vince he had a deal as the Corporate Team left the ring, Mr. McMahon desperate in trying to get Austin out of the WrestleMania title picture!

Jarrett asked Vince what he was doing while the stooges took a more delicate approach. Briscoe asked Vince if he thought potentially stepping in the ring with Stone Cold was such a good idea. Vince assured them everything will be alright because by the end of the night, win or lose, Stone Cold will have to choose facing him at WrestleMania. McMahon looked confident as the segment ended.

DX backed up the ramp, still mocking the Outlaws, as James and Gunn were ticked off in the ring.

Shamrock started to raise his voice and Val tried calming him down. Val said he just wanted to make sure they could put this behind them, because like it or not they might be the only two superstars who can step up to the Corporation right now. Val asked him to have his back this Sunday, and he’ll have his again. Ken didn’t say anything and Venis walked out, can these two rivals work together against the Corporation?

Backstage D-Lo Brown was shown with the European Championship, admiring it. Mark Henry came up to him and asked D-Lo for a little help. D-Lo asked Mark what he needed, and Mark started going on about how he’ll win this Sunday, so that means they’ll be getting two of Godfather’s ladies. Brown says he already knows that and it’s going to be sweet, so he doesn’t understand his problem. Mark told him he was a little nervous and he’s had some “lady problems” in the past. D-Lo asked him if he was serious before telling him not to sweat it. He said he’ll be fine, because he’s just like “Sexual Chocolate.” Mark liked the sound of the that before D-Lo asked him to come with him, because he’ll need some help for his plan.

Stone Cold tried to fight off the big man, but it was useless as the giant nailed him with a Chokeslam! Stone Cold was laid out as the Big Show shouted he just proved he could beat Stone Cold without stipulations and he left the ring. Vince seemed confidant again and he stepped into the ring, forcing the referee to ring the bell.
Mr. McMahon(w/The Corporation) def. Stone Cold Steve Austin: The Big Show had left the arena as Vince went for the cover, but Stone Cold got the ropes at two! Mr. McMahon couldn't believe it, as now he was trapped with Austin! Stone Cold got up and pushed Vince into the corner. McMahon pleaded with Austin as he brought back his fist to hit him, unaware the bodyguard had slipped in from the crowd! By the time he turned around, it was too late as he got clobbered by the nightstick. Vince crawled in for the cover and finally got the three.
The fans in Toronto were furious, some even throwing trash into the ring. McMahon got into Austin’s face and mocked him with trash talk. The guard stood tall over as the rest of the Corporation entered the ring to celebrate. JR commented that “hell had frozen over.” The Big Show came back down to the ring as Stone Cold started to get up on his feet. Vince told him he “knew what to do” as Show grabbed Austin by the feet and pulled him out of the ring. He held him up as Vince walked to the outside and slapped him in the face for the second time! Austin was fully awake now and he was trying to escape Big Show’s clutches, but it was no use. McMahon slapped Austin in the face one more time before Big Show finally Chokeslammed him through the announcer’s table! Vince’s bodyguard, as JR was calling him, greeted the two on the outside as they stood over Austin for the third time in three nights. Can Stone Cold somehow overcome these odds? What will he choose at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre? Who’s going to WrestleMania as the WWF Champion? Who’s going as the challenger? Tune in tomorrow night to find out!
